I was wondering if anyone who's seen the Korean war movie Taegukgi could give a review of it. I've only seen about 5 minutes of it, so I'd like to find out more about this movie and what others think. I might try to find it somewhere if the review(s) are positive.

It's really bloody and gory, though. Or so my friend says.
If no one has seen this/wants to give a review/has time to review this movie, don't worry about it.

ive seen this film and its amazing! its very bloody obviously cos of the battles and war..but not really that gory.

it's similar to saving private ryan which its always getting compared to and in my opinion its just as good.

its about the tale of two brothers..one is getting married and the other still in sch. civil war breaks out between north and south korea and they are both plunged into the world of a soldier.
good points about the film:
see how close the relationship is between the two. dnt wanna spoil it for u but its very heart-touching
the film doesnt take on a biased role..never portraying north or south as the bad ones which is wot made it so popular in korean cinemas.
has a bit of family love, war, action, comedy and sadness to it.
really gives u an idea of wot it would've been like in those times

It's the best Korean movie I've watch, and one of the best movies in my list. I remember it as my first NC-16 movie (here in Singapore).
