Disclaimer: Anti-X is a forum to express your dislike for a particular movie, artist, author, book, or anything you want to gripe about. This means that one of your favourite people or favourite movies may be bashed or stomped on, but that is the purpose of this forum. We put the fangirling aside here. There will be no discussion about why a certain _____ is here and there will be NO COMPLAINTS made about why so-and-so was listed here or how this member was mean to your favourite blah blah blah. Anti-X is a forum made alongside the fan forums, so all anti sentiment is kept here and all adoring sentiment is kept to the fan forums. Know where you are supposed to post and do so with common sense.
Now onto the rules:
1) No one-liners / circular arguments. If you're going to bash some artist, at least have some sort of reason for it. No "I hate this person because I don't like him". An example of a good post would be:
I don't like the movie Lost in Translation because I find the character Bill Murray portrays to be one dimensional and annoying with his mopey face and attitude. The way the movie shows Asian culture, Japanese in particular, is irritating because at parts it's degrading and meant to be humorous, but I found a lot of it insulting. Who agrees with me?
This post contains:
a) What you're trying to insult
b) Reasons why you hate _____
c) No unnecessary drama (i.e. OMG PARISHILTONISSUCHASLUT OMGOMGOMGOMG)
d) a level of maturity (12/06/06)
what does this mean?
answer:
- no personal bashing against a particular artist (words like slut, whore, or any of the well known swear words should be avoided). we try to bash the actions and behavior of the person, not to go into bashing whoever it is senseless for no reason. there is absolutely no need and no excuse for using derogatory language. if you wouldn't say it to your mother, you don't want to say it here.
- no racist or homophobic terms will be tolerated (you may not use gay, black, or any sexual or racially associated term that is offensive or use it to carry a negative connotation)
- no blatant violence (no description of how you want to brutally maim a person). we're not interested in how you want to take care of the problem, we're interested in what the problem is.
one/two offense = warning
third offense = ban
2) Have descriptive topic titles. Put the name of whatever you don't like in the title. Nothing like Do you hate this guy too? And no bloody lead on ellipses like Tell me if I'm right in hating...????
edit: (12/06/06) keep thread titles simple like "Anti Bob McGee" or "Who hates Bob McGee", no "I WANT TO KILL BOB MCGEE AND RIP OFF HIS ARMS" you don't need theatrics to say what you need to say
3) No flame-wars. There will be no personal insults like "You are stupid because you hate X" and no name-calling like "You are an idiot because you dissed my favourite lalala". If you flame, you will be banned, simple.
4) Posts may be deleted at anytime if I find them inappropriate / offensive.
5) You may leap to your favourite ______'s defense ONLY IF A GROSSLY INFLAMMATORY AND/OR ERRONEOUS REMARK IS MADE (i.e. there is one fact that is so blatantly wrong about your favourite whatever), but your post is going to be judged more critically, and all fangirly type of posts may be deleted. This means that Anti-X is not the place to argue about whether a certain artist belongs in this forum, Anti-X is a gathering of people that do not like a certain artist and we keep these kind of remarks AWAY from the fan threads. So people who want to discuss why a certain artist is good, keep to the fan threads since negativity is not allowed there, but criticism IS allowed here.
Arguing whether an artist belongs to Anti-X is pointless and those posts will be deleted from now on.
If anything doesn't make sense, feel free to PM me.
6) You are NOT ALLOWED to de-rep anyone because they hate someone you adore and you are not allowed to de-rep anyone because they love someone you hate. If I find any of this going on, bad things will happen.
