Marley and Me

I recently completed this book and have been recommending it to like EVERYONE who (1) reads (2) loves dogs/animals.

If you're an animal lover, you'd have to read this book. It is written by a journalist, about his pet Labrador called Marley (named after Bob Marley!).
Marley is no ordinary dog. He doesn't seem to listen to instructions and is possibly the world's worst dog (as his owner/writer John calls him) but Marley is a sweet dog when it comes to sad events.
This book is about the Grograns bringing him home and all his antics. The book is written in a very easy to read style and I found myself laughing out loud many a times. You can read an excerpt here (http://www.marleyandme.com/excerpt.html).

In my opinion, this is a brilliantly told story. It made me want to get a Lab! :D

ahh. so it's written by a journalist. x) i saw my friend reading this book and i must say the pictures in it are so very adorable. lol and yes, it makes me wants to get a labrador too. x)

i haven't got the chance to really read that book but it does seem interesting. but my friend told me the ending is =/ .

Gulp. Yeah, the ending is sad because it is about Marley's life but you know, you'd read it and really feel for the family. This book is easy to read (no big words!) and is able to bring the emotions across without actually sounding pathetic. Know what I mean?

I was sneaking a read at Borders and at Times the Bookstore the other day, and I am tempted to buy the book... I wanna dog too! :worry:

The book review section is kinda going slow, cos maybe our members are still trying to find their way around? And they are all too busy reading our recommended books to reply yet?
