What is the requirements for Registered User+?

erm..i had read the FAQ regarding this issue and it stated that the requirement will varies especially the time when jay is releasing his album..so what will be the requirements now and if i met those..how can i apply for it?

Be here 1 week, have 20 posts, reputation of at least 10. That's all. Note we change the qualifications from time to time to limit the number of people accepted into RU+. Especially during peak forum activity such as in Jay's album release.

You dont need to apply for it, you are automatically promoted.

I dont think Jay has just released his album right? So the requirements remain the same. Why are you still asking when you have already read the FAQ? :?

nonono...you must get it clear...actually i joined jc.net 3 years ago i think...but i seldom login to this site so my accounts are always getting deleted...so i dont want people to treat me as a "newbie" in the site...futhermore..yesterday i used to have a avatar...but i accidentally disable it...when i want to recover it...i found that i couldnt...that avatar was last year i uploaded.. because last year every member are free to have an avatar...but not now...so inorder to make everythings goes right for me..i should hav an avatar...that why i want to be a registered user +... can you understand my feeling now?

Dont keep thinking that people are treating you as a newbie and u wont feel that people are treating you as 1. After all your profile says that you joined on Sep 15, 2005 and no part of it says that you are a newbie! Dont post like a newbie people wont treat you like one.

And actually, you didnt disable your avatar. It's simply bcos registered users used to be able to have an avatar but not now. So basically, you didnt disable it, the admin did. I thought lattae already explained clearly why in the thread you started here (http://jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?t=20402)?

Last time is a long long time ago. For someone who've registered and was never active... I don't know why you are coming in to make all these demands.

Anyway, back to the point, if you REALLY want to be a registered user+ so much, just be more active, post more (not spam) and soon you will be a registered user+. Just be patient.

Let me tell you why you lost your avatar: You were silly enough not to read the FAQ and announcements before you decide to "play around" with the avatar function. (We are guessing you tried to change it and it disappeared altogether)
Now, under the old system, anyone could have an avatar. If you've already had an avatar as a registered user, it won't be removed (cos the site bot only reacts to new changes). It would have been fine if you didn't touch anything cos you'd go under the radar, BUT once you trigger the system the "change", you won't pass the grade and naturally you ended up without an avatar.

The only one to blame is yourself for not reading before you make changes. And no we cannot reverse it cos it's the forum setting, you are not a user+... and the site just won't allow for it.


I would like to say you are completely pitiful cos, you actually think you'd be valued just because you have an avatar. We value rule abiding good members, even if they have no banners. I can go without one and I don't feel a pinch. I feel sad for you that you tag your selfworth to an avatar.


Anyway here is the more important part... I started this post to tell you this:
For someone with ZERO contribution to the site after being on it for 3 years, you actually have to guts to come demanding for privileges (such as having an avatar just because you don't want people to mistake you for a newbie cos you've joined in 2003?). To us, you are worse than a newbie, and you deserve to be in that situation. So many members have been so nice to explain the situation and asking you to bear with it for a while... I think you are seriously pushing it with all the whining.

Remember I warned you that I can make life more difficult than it already is if you don't stop the whining? (if you memory fail you, click here (http://jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?p=661916#post661916)) I can seriously cause damage if I wanted to. Since you like testing limits, I am going to make it happen... Without those rep points, you'd never be a User+. Unless you wise up, You'll never get those reps back :dry:

i am finding ways to contribute to this site...but what do u mean by "zero contributions"..that is so hurt..my word for using "roaring" is just to tackle "whining"..cant find any words suitable for that..

and i am having major examination this year ..after 2 weeks will be my prelims..and wont be able to be 24hr active everytime...at least now i did comments on some posts everyday and not "sitting around and whining"

3 years ago..i do not have a direct access to internet...so i wasnt be able to be an active user..and i got all the jay's news from the radio FM (look how pathetic i am at that time)...and because i do not want to left any regrets this time...i wanted to play more parts on this site...that led me to the eagerness of being a registered user+

You CAN contribute to the site, whether you are RU+ or RU. I don't see how the status should prevent you from contributing to the site. And when you contribute, whether in links or intelligent/meaningful posts, I am sure someone will give you back your Rep points to get you 'promote' to RU+.

IF you have a major examination at the end of this year (I assumed O levels), go ahead and study for it. Many of us have grown up in this site, having our major exams while contributing to the growth of this site. In your relaxation time, you can still come back here to post, read or comment on something that shows us that you have grown up, in terms of being a member on this site and not whining for an avatar.

Isn't it plain to see that we've all tried to be accomodating? Didn't we encourage you to hang in there and you just kept complaining? If you choose to behave like that, then don't blame us for reacting.

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I removed those points to make you learn your lesson about being such a whiny brat before you can move on to becoming a user+. If I can take away, I can restore them once you've proven yourself to be a better member. When all the whining, all the complaints, all the terrible posts with poor punctuation/spelling what have you stops... we can consider reinstating you to your former status.

And don't worry about a negative rep number, cos usually before that happens, the member is already banned.

hey..but look..firstly..i started this thread as i wanted to know how User+ work as i never been one...those earlier replies explains to me that i should wait and i will be auto-promote...then i explained to them that all i wanted was just an avatar that led to my eagerness of making this thread..

From there..i was quite satisfied with your answer and stop complaining..

But what make me really feel angry is from your first reply stating that i have zero
contributions(at least i did a maplestory huo yuan jia, recieved 30 thank you ..i know this is no big deal)...and you took away my rep points which make my waiting to get promoted worthless...that time ..i was really getting frustrated...as
