My sincere apologies for this late reply as I have been busy booking my air tickets and trying to clear as much of my work as I can before I leave for Taiwan. I was also away from Fri-Sun in Malaysia so was unable to actually log in a reply, have only been coming in to read and look see look see.

Well guys, looks like we're all gonna get our album only on Friday. Hang in there! Just a few days more! End of the day, since we pre-ordered, let's just wait for them to call. I asked HMV today as well, and they received no word about an early release as well.

My guess is that we can only get to see him at the start of next year, earliest. Like his The One concert here, which was held at the start of the year if I'm not wrong.

Haven't been following the news lately but this rather scares me because I'm often at that area because my school is near there. And I will always wait for my friend at the control station.

IMF is around the corner, I guess they have stepped up the security at the surrounding areas. One minister has pointed out that we might encounter terrorist attacks during the IMF meetings, so we must be alert and careful.

I'm not cursing the country or anything, just that when you seriously sit down and think about it, it is actually not that difficult for the terrorists to mount an attack on us.

Oh.. and Liwei, I think I can only meet you towards the end of Sept after the IMF. I've became so busy everyday with it because we're only days away from it. I'm terribly tired and need a break. There are frequent database errors and error messages like the server is busy because there are too many people accessing JCNet. This always happens when Jay releases his album and everyone goes frenzy checking his news/stuffs online.

I think this will continue for 3 weeks to a month, we have to bear with it :whistle:

I've sms-ed stitch in the afternoon to see if he got any call from Sembawang where he preordered (I don't know which branch) and he said that they called him in the morning.

I wanted to confirm that it's ready for collection as I was lazy to go out again at night since I was already out. And MJ (Kovan) didn't call me too. Luckily I didn't make a wasted trip as the stock has arrived. :whistle:

The album is pretty good on the first listen, definately more "nai-ting" den NC, but I shall reserve my thoughts at the moment and listen to it a few more times before giving my review. I love track number 9 though. Right Starry? :tongue:

I love Track 9 (Rosemary), but I know not many listeners like it. Hmm, maybe Bossanova is not for the mass? Basically this track is more interesting because Jay hasn't tried this type of genre before and I love Bossanova music.

Finally i am able to come in today... cos i can't even access few days ago..

I was pretty angry with the sembawang branch where i pre-ordered Still Fantasy.. As i was expecting their call last Friday, but did not receive any calls from them.. until i was too fed-up and called them instead.. and they told me that the cds has already arrived.. i asked them why they didn't call me to let me know? They said some calls were unanswered or is not available.. BUT there is no incoming calls from them AT ALL.. :ranting:

I absolutedly loved this album... well.. i loved all his albums.. but this is my fave so far. And was really surprised with track 09. It feels so different, listening to Jay singing bossa nova... so refreshing... and he "put" this track in his movie version of QLZW mv. Nice~~~

In my opinion it is better than NC... My favourite so far is also Mi Die Xiang.. It is just so refreshing and different from his other style.. However, it also sounds suspiciously like a Pepsi song... I really hope not...

BTW, I finally bought Jay's new album two days ago. At first, I was reluctant to buy it because the album name, "Still Fantasy", gives me the impression that it will sound similar to Fantasy, with the "same kind of tune". I only bought it after some people in the forum say that it is better than NC.

I find that the songs in Still Fantasy doesn't sound like Fantasy at all! I like the songs though, but I don't really like the way the album is packaged, especially the album book. Jay is portrayed as some gangster inside the booklet. I'd rather him to have the innocent and classic look such as the one in NC.

I was pretty angry with the sembawang branch where i pre-ordered Still Fantasy.. As i was expecting their call last Friday, but did not receive any calls from them.. until i was too fed-up and called them instead.. and they told me that the cds has already arrived.. i asked them why they didn't call me to let me know? They said some calls were unanswered or is not available.. BUT there is no incoming calls from them AT ALL.. :ranting:

I absolutedly loved this album... well.. i loved all his albums.. but this is my fave so far. And was really surprised with track 09. It feels so different, listening to Jay singing bossa nova... so refreshing... and he "put" this track in his movie version of QLZW mv. Nice~~~

I know Singapore dramas are trying hard to be like Taiwanese idol dramas but I think they still fail quite terribly. Although some plots of those Taiwanese dramas might be quite cheesy, but it keeps you wanting to carry on watching it to the last episode. Singapore dramas do lack something. :oops:

This place that Lattae mentioned has got transport travelling in from the MRT station every 15 mins shldn't be a prob for those that don't have transport. It's quite convenient as I have been there a couple of times.

I think you can still go Chaos, because the advert says, present ANY SE phone to get the poster, it doesn't say you have to be a Singtel customer, just that Singtel customers with the plans, iOne Plus (or is it iTwo plus) together with a specific SE model has priority queue.

I'm not too sure about it... have u enabled your GPRS? If not, you can call 43327 for singtel users.. they will send you a reply message asking you which type of price plan for the GPRS you want. Then, just follow their instructions. This is how I did for my previous phone. But for current phone, I did not go through those steps.. but i can still send and receive mms. You can still try if it works for you.

bueytahan, the session was okay, everything just felt very rush, cos leehom was only in Singapore for only 6 hours, before going back to HK for filming.

Yep, the fan club prepared the cakes for him because they knew leehom likes pandan cakes. :happy:

I left the place rather early too, me and my friend ended up with 4 autographed posters. We queued twice. :sweat: And we weren't the only ones that queued twice, maybe that's how the papers got the figures of 2,000 people. :laughing:

Yes. We really queued a second time. And there weren't many people by the time we took a detour to queue for another set of two posters, because we had a pair of tickets, and a pair to SE phones. :sweat:

It was much faster the second time though, once we got the posters, we managed to get it signed within 10 minutes. They closed off the queue after a short while when we got in, so I guess we got lucky.

It's very bad, but still it's not as bad the one during 1997. The 24 hr-PSI reading is 80 today. I remember in 1997, the PSI even shot up as high as 160 to 180. My house windows are all closed now.

Perhaps it has been a long time since we've experienced such bad hazy air that's why I couldn't take it.

anyway, u guys heard of the gastric flu. some schools already have students having this gastric flu. it is like a normal flu to you, but it will cause vomitting too. so, yesterday, my principal told the teachers to take note of the students who are absent. see if they are down with this flu. today, i was sleeping good. and suddenly, the phone rang. the teacher called to check if i got any gastric flu. such flu can spread easily. its just like another SARS to me!

Yeah! The haze has been causing some of my colleagues to fall seriously ill... Anyone was out last night??? The Haze last night was really really bad...

It was like suddenly, the Haz just thickens after nightfall...And the smell of ash & burnt was so strong...It totally spoilt the Night view of the moon... So sad... What's more, yesterday night was Mid Autumn festival...and the night view was totally spoilt by the HAze... Those irresponsible farmers in Indonesia!!!

Jasmine, yep, gastric flu is kinda like stomach flu. I never know that its contagious. I suffer from it whenever I'm very stressed up. It's one of the most terrible experiences I've been through.

Ah yes, the haze. Us Indonesians in here have taken quite a bashing from others for the haze, they say things like we're exporting the haze here. As an Indonesian I'm also quite embarassed and frustated why haven't my government learn the lesson after all these years. Law enforcement against forest burners are weak and the department of forest affairs is just too busy trying to catch up those illegal loggers that they seem to have no time to take care of the fire... :oops:

Last night was very bad. I went to Chinese Garden with my friends for the festival but in the end most of the photos we took was very blur. The sky became reddish and the moon was like RED when we saw it last night! And just now when I went to Chinatown and Orchard the haze was very thick we can hardly see anything just beyond a few hundred metres or so. Everyone was avoiding eating outside in hawker centres so the food courts inside the shopping mall were very full and packed, in the end me and my friends had no choice but to eat in a hawker centre in Chinatown under heavy haze... and it's getting really really hot too... yesterday and today even in the night it was so hot!

Just hope that the haze will be gone soon... my friends have gotten ill too... :cry:

Yes, I've just checked the PSI Reading site and at 8-10 pm it was 143 - 150 - 145 respectively and THAT was when I was sitting my friends having dinner in the Chinatown hawker centre. No wonder we all felt dizzy and drank so much! It was so thick out there that I can't even see the top of my 30-storey HDB flat anymore! Usually I can do that when there was no haze.

Oh my it's really getting worse... and you know what's worse? There is NO mention about this at all on some Indonesian news websites that I've just checked. It says much about the government's willingness to handle this thing. If you heard about the bird flu too, Indonesia has the highest rate of bird flu in the word but the government seems to do nothing about it at all!

But seriously, this problem had been ongoing for many years, and even though the relevant authorities have been pressed to do something about it, and kept reassuring they did, in reality, nothing is really done. There is no law enforcement for one, and another, the place is too big to be totally monitored carefully. Hmm, hopefully, there will be at least some law enforcement for this and the farmers who set the fires be severely punished one day.

Cats, don't go down to Vivo yet, according to my friend who went there over the weekend, its only 50% - 60% open. And it's freaking dusty, as if the haze wasn't bad enough, she went in to get choked before leaving rather disappointed.

It wasn't exactly a wasted trip for my friend per se, but there's still lots of stores waiting to be opened. I'm just waiting for it to be all opened before heading down.

I was also at Vivocity last Saturday with my friends and just like what you all said, not all of the stores have opened and most of them still have to congratulatory flowers in front of their stores. What's worse is that the food centre in the third floor have not been opened at all so practically Vivocity got no food. So in the end we had to walk to Harbourfront Mall and there was no food either, it seems that all of the people who find no food in Vivocity went to the neighbouring mall to eat.

That's the story how I end up in a hawker centre in Chinatown and got polluted with the 150-PSI air. Should have stayed in Plaza Sing and eat :oops:

Haha, okok, kidding. But seriously, Vivo is big, read on the papers that it is one and a half times the size of the National Stadium. But the fact that its not even fully open is enough to make me not want to go down there.

In fact, many vendors had been complaining about the delays. It's just delays after delays. So I wouldn't be too surprised if the grand opening doesn't take place in December Chaos. :sweat:

Talking abt vivo..
My office is beside that shopping mall..
Went there to take a look during my lunch time..
It was HUGE and SPACIOUS!

Even the whole harboufront was crowded as there is no food at Vivo....:dry:
I was trying to find the shortest and less crowded place to have my lunch!

I'll lay low on using Limewire for a while.

BTW, how can they know what are we downloading? I know that Singtel and Starhub are monitoring our traffic, but how come they can even know what we're taking from the net? I'm wondering now if they can read my e-mails and IM conversations too.

A piece of advice Chaos, once an anime is licensed in a country, it doesn't matter where its licensed. So it'll already be an infrigement. That's how fansub works, at least the good ones, once an anime is licensed in any country, they'll drop the project.

You'll be surprised what they can monitor. Eventually they can have access to anything if they wanted to, so you'd better lay low in the coming days if you've been downloading mp3s and licensed anime or anything that will infrige copyrights.
