She's so cute  and I love her single Houki Boshi.
So are there any other fans out there? I like her voice and her image. The Touch PV isn't really appealing... her dancing and acting sort of sexy is very awkward. The Houki Boshi PV is much better and cuter. I hope I'll get to listen to some more of her songs soon. She's a relatively new artists, but she has potential and talent. What do you guys think about her?

Here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6L-mUrQdZGU)'s a YouTube video of her singing Houki Boshi. Very cute.

She's Korean, if you're talking about her cultural background. But we're talking about music, so she probably would go better under Japanese. I consulted a moderator who happens to be an expert on J-pop for this

It was a hard decision... but I guess in the end it depends on how you argue it. So she can technically go under both forums, like BoA did.

I mean, she never released her album in Korea before she made japanese debut and she even sings in japanese. I wonder she might be a half japanese, or any reason ?

I like Younha's single Te wo Tsunaide...I think it has a better vocal recording than her others.

I thought that she was a Korean who works in the Japanese music industry...I know that she released a few singles with a Korean and Japanese version, but she seems to focus more on the Japanese music...that or I just focus on Japanese music more.

From my understanding, she flopped terribly in korea, thats why no one has ever heard of her there, so they reinvented her in Japan. Her music isnt bad, I think she writes a good portion of it, and I like her strong voice. Oh yea and shes cute.

I love Younha. I always assumed she was japanese and sang a few of her Japanese songs in Korea, but guess i was wrong.

I'm pretty sure she writes a lot of her songs and she's really good at piano. The way she plays always lightens my mood, and in her music videos are just amazing to watch.

i know that on her earlier singles in japanese, she has the korean version. but i never heard that she failed in korea. that's sad.

'Houki Boshi' is insanely fun and catchy, her debut album is pretty good too, I also like 'Yume no Tsuzuki' she has a very nice, full voice, it's not pitchy or chirpy.

Thats exactly what I like about her. She doesn't sound like Ayumi (no offense to Ayu, but her voice is just so ...boring after a while) or any of those generic high pitched japanese singers. Shes got a deep strong voice, like Utada, although perhaps not that powerful yet.

Ayu's natural voice is a lot deeper than it comes off, I find her voice unspectacular in songs like 'fairyland' and 'BLUE BIRD' but there's a lot of character in her voice in songs like 'Memorial address' or the very awesome 'A Song of XX "030211 Session #2' off A BALLADS.

Problem with having a deep, full voice is that you have to make sure you sing songs suited to your range, but really it's the case with all singers, and depending on the song, some upbeat, more light-hearted songs may sound a bit awkward. I think Younha found her balance pretty well on her debut album, I'm looking forward to her future releases.

The problem I have with Utada is that I find she has been singing a lot of songs that are really not her natural range as of late (more like past two albums?), and it sounds strained, the most glaring example is the very pretty but painful 'Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro,' 'Be My Last' is also pretty bad when it comes to sounded strained. She's been doing this for a while now so it doesn't sound so weird to me anymore, some people say it adds emotion to the song, but it can really rub me the wrong way

Sorry I got off topic xD

i like younha!!! haha
shes sorta still "new" and not that big yet. but i like her
i first heard "houkiboshi" when it came out and got hooked.
that song is just so catchy
then i watched her performance and i guess i like her image?
she seems really natural she doesn't try to dress really flashy or anything
and i like that she plays the piano when she sings live.

i'm also impressed by how fast she learned japanese.
IMO, younha's japanese is WAY better than BoAs.
and younha had less time to learn it too!
well, i think that way because i've seen younha write msgs on her HP, and shes basically fluent... she knows kanji and everything whereas BoA knows only a few kanji and writes mainly in hiragana/katakana.

i think everyone should check her out and give her a chance!
she has good slow songs and upbeat songs as well =]

altho... "te wo tsunaide" didn't really do it for me.
i liked her b-side songs on the single more
