uh, well i think it's a little far from my house!
i live on South Philly! i think 15 blocks from center city or chinatown!
uh, if u want and have time we can meet in place u want to meet me!
'cause in my neighborhood, people think i'm stupid and crazy to listen Jay songs!
all my family and my friends never hear and knew about the guy named Jay Chou!
and i don't have a single friend to share about Jay songs!
so sad right?
so when we can meet? i think we can make Philadelphia Jay Fans? how u think?
but, i wonder if there's any in this city! :?

South Philly? Are you anywhere near the Riverview movie theater...haha,that's the only place I really know in South Philly(I walked there once).I hang out around Market East alot though.Yeah,I don't really know alot of Jay fans in Philly...but no one in my neighborhood really listens to him(I don't really even know anyone at my school who's ever heard of him). There has to be some though...it would be so nice if he would actually come here for a concert  .Hey,what high school did u go to?

4n93l_w1n9
10-14-2003, 09:24 PM

4n93l_w1n9
10-15-2003, 10:06 PM

do u understand chinese? i don't understand chinese, but i just listen the melody or rhytm of Jay songs, u know! well, music is a world language! :) how do u think about that?
yeah, sometimes i hanging around South street too, that's cool place, many weird and fun things selling in there!
so, is there many asian people in your neighbourhood?

I don't really speak chinese(only a few words)but I'm trying to learn.I like Jay for his voice and melodies though. I agree with you, music is a world language!I always try and get my friends to listen to Jay and some of them really like him  Jay's music is definitely universal!

Yeah,South Street is fun,it gets a little crazy at night sometimes though.Where else do u like to go?

Yeah,I have all Jay's CDs...the first one I ever got was his second album "Fantasy".I'm not sure if I have a favorite song...I really like them all!My favorite mvs are "Simple Love" and "Secret Signal" though." Do u prefer Jay's slow songs or do u like his rapping/rock stuff better?

Yeah,I go to King of Prussia mall sometimes,it's so big! It's kind of a long drive, but they have better stores than any place around my house, hehe.I want to go to Franklin Mills! It's been years since I went there and I've heard they have really good stuff...
Do u drive?I don't yet...I've been lazy, but I want to get my license before I go to college next year.

Where do u get Jay stuff in Philly?

4n93l_w1n9

Do u prefer Jay's slow songs or do u like his rapping/rock stuff better?

mmm...well it depends on my situation i heard the music, if i'm so happy, i'll listening his "rock" songs like The Final Battle or Nunchaku!
But, if i goes down or get so sad, i like enjoying his voice on Silence and Can't Speak!
they sometimes get me to relax and calm until i
it sounds funny right??!!!
yes i can drive but i still don't have the license yet ! i'm so lazy!
so i drive with my friend to go to shopping mall!
i get Jay stuff from the Chinatown and order in internet website that sell a lot of them!how ' bout u? where u get Jay's?

getsu_04
10-17-2003, 07:36 PM
Usually I just buy his Cds at yesasia.com,I want to find some more stores in Chinatown that sell his stuff though!Do u know any?

How often do u have class for ESL?Everyday? You're so lucky that you're done high school!

Anyway...I think I usually prefer Jay's slow songs. They're really soothing and so much emotion comes out in his voice.I think it's so pretty when his voice reaches that really high pitch!I agree with you,his voice is really relaxing to listen to

What's your name?I'm Sara

Hi, Sara!! Nice to knowing such a nice girl like u!
Just call me Steve! ok! :yeah:
i knew some stores that sell Jay stuff in Chinatown but watch out for a lot of his pirates CD!
they are so annoying! I hate pirate CD! :ranting:
I know one store that sell his original CD! i think it's 15 buildings from the Chinatown gate on the South side!
oh, well... :? i thought it's too hard to u to find that place!
Ah, anyway if u have time u can go with me! i'll show u the way!
i take ESL class about 3 times in a week! each about 5 hours!
bah...! that's so boring!
but it will finished on this December!
btw, are u ready for the final test and graduation???!!! :wink2:

What other music do u listen other than Jay?Of course Jay is my favorite singer, but I also listen to a lot of rap.

Anyway,yeah...maybe sometime u can show me where that store is.

I'm looking at a lot of different schools. My first choice is Southampton college(it's part of Long Island University).Have you looked at Drexel or Temple? They're both pretty good local schools
Yeah, college is very expensive, but luckily my father is paying my tuition.

I've never listened to David Tao...what's his stye?Do you know the name of his most recent CD?

Sounds like you had a fun weekend! Are there only two children in your family?I have two older brothers, one is 26 and the other is 24.I'm the only one that lives at home though, one of my brothers lives in LA and the other lives in NYC.

Do u have AIM or MSN instant message?

4n93l_w1n9
10-21-2003, 11:51 PM
yeah, they're good university, but that costs me a lot bucks! damn!
'cause my parents don't want to pay my tuition, i must get to work! that suck!
David Tao is R&B style too like Jay! he's fine!
the name of his new CD is Ultrasound, that's his greatest hits from 1997-2003!
I have 2 sisters, they're younger than me, their age is 15 and 14!
i'm the only boys and the oldest! i hate that!
they always make fun of me!
nop, i don't have AIM or MSN instant message!
if u want u can e-mail me!

getsu_04
10-22-2003, 02:31 AM
Maybe you can get college scholarships or loans to help pay your tuition, that's what some of my friends are doing.

Haha,I always used to tease my brothers, but they make fun of me also.If you didn't live at home,I think u would miss your little sisters

Haha,it's funny...I think this is the only topic on this forum that only has two people posting on it!I wonder what the moderators think of that...
Are you planning on joining a usergroup?

4n93l_w1n9
10-22-2003, 03:07 AM
thanks, i'll think about that! :?
yeah, it's so funny! i thought the moderators will hate us!
i want to joining the usergroup, but mine is still pending!

getsu_04
10-22-2003, 03:48 AM
Which one are you thinking of joining?
It takes a kinda long time to get approved sometimes...

Anyway,do u buy Jay posters and stuff like that also?I bought that book of his,but I can't understand any of it since it's in Chinese. The pictures are cool though.

4n93l_w1n9
10-22-2003, 03:59 AM
i dunno which one the best? :?
i choosed cloudsurfers
which one u think the best for me?
nop, i don't buy any poster or anything else!
i just bought his Music CD! that's all!
people think i'm gay if i buy stuff like that!
what?? :excited: u have his book? what kind of book is that?
oh man, i want to see that book!

getsu_04
10-22-2003, 02:11 PM
I'd lend you the book sometime. Its' called "Iron Box of The Island." I'm not really sure what it's totally about(since I can't read chinese)but I think most of the writing is by Vincent Fang(I think a lot of it is the lyrics to Jay's songs). There's a lot of really nice pictures. If you want to know more about, there's a thread about it(just type Iron Box of the Island" into the search engine).

alrite this is getting out of hand

after the fourth or fifth time you replied each other, you should have recognized that no one else is posting but you two and conducted the rest of your conversation in private messages

until anyone else from philadelpha comments, don't post anything more here, either of you, or i will lock it.

I just wanted to add my name to the list. I haven't been here for awhile, and somehow the site erased my name. I'm not in Philly right now, but I will start attending UPenn when September comes around, so hopefully that counts.

wow this is a old thread lol
i read those conversations of the first two ppl(sara and steve) and i thought it was funny that it was just u guys...by the way steve, its AWESOME that you're not azn and u like jay!!!
well im not from philly but im in the western/central PA like 4 and a half hours from nyc..
when i found out that jay was gonna have a concert on the east coast i literally freaked out!!!
i HAVE TO GO but my parents wouldnt let me, they said casino isnt safe for me, my sis..
so i got really really really depressed about it and a day before christmas, my cousins from nyc called and asked if we r goin and then my parents agreed since my aunt and uncle is takin us there and stuff
I WAS SOOOOO HAPPY I ALMOST CRIED!!!!!!!!
i got the $128 tickets outside of the arena, ok seats, if i knew jay was gonna throw out his necklace and nunchucks i woulda bought the $168 tickets..owell
SOO happy i went( it was my first jay concert, i have strict parents) it was very exciting and now whenever i hear "in the name of my father" it brings me back to the arena when jay was about to appear on stage, i get all excited and stuff lol

hope more PA Jay fans post on this forum!!!

Hahaha! This is a really old thread. I guess there aren't very many Jay fans from PA. I'm from PA. I'm not gonna say where in PA though. My mom would kill me, and even if I did...you probably wouldn't know where I was talking about anyway. Stupid little hick town. :D Yeah...we should form a PA Jay fanclub. I'm not so sure many people from this town would join, but I'm sure we could find others. LOL!
