[JCNET 7th & 8th Contest] Karaoke and Cover Design Contest Entries

Sorry it's taken me ages to get these up, and it's taken great effort for me to find the time. Instead of formatting everything in a nice neat format, I have to leave it for you guys to look through yourself.

There is a 55+mb download for the entire set of entries convienent for you to peruse through. As there wasn't much interest, things were cancelled for both contests. I didn't feel it was worth it to give out awards when there are so few entries to choose from.

If anything for the entrants, some praise, feedback, constructive criticisms, etc.. are definately welcome. Thanks to those that took the time and effort to participate.

aw, its a pity that there werent as many entries.

i just want to say that retrobaby did a SUPERB job on her song Pian Xin. i really liked her voice in that song. even though i've never heard it before, i really like it now. great job!

wow.. the album cover designs are amazing.

so are we not going to bother with any judging at all? perhaps we could still do that and have like rep points of vBookie points given or something like that.

it's a pity that judging/voting is cancelled, but i'll still post my comments to my fave entries for both contests!

Cover Design:
Miss_gun's entry is very creative, especially the back cover! The colors go together very well and i love how you linked all the song names together! This is my favorite entry!!

ftlouiea's entry is very unique, a Jay album without Jay on the cover! and the front and back matches very well. The back looks very professional because you included the Sony Music logo and all the tiny words. I like how you used the chinese "7" as the letter "t" in your logo!

Karaoke contest:
Fishie did a great job!!!! Especially because it's a male song. It sounded very soothing and very nice overall.

vicluva you sounded quite different from the yue that i remember hearing in the karaoke lounge. this song is well done too!

yeukang as usual, your sound quality is always so good! and your singing too! you did a pretty good job!

Miss_gun: your entry would have DEFINITELY won the cover design contest, i'd hav to admit :D the pictures were my favorite pix of Jay, and you used it in such a unique way. ANDDDD i loved how your song tracks are in like a little story. i wouldnt hav thought of doing that! excellent job!

ftlouiea: i agree w/ retrobaby, not having jay on the cover and back is very different in a very good way! and the details on the back, WOW. great greatttt job!

I think Miss_gun's, ftlouiea's and panda_shine's designs are very nice. They look very classy, very suitable for Jay's album.

On the cover design, all of you did a great job! Those song titles are very creative too! My favourite are aina's and ftlouiea's. Miss Gun's and Panda_shine's one was good too! :thumbsup: You people all are so creative. Btw, I love how ftlouiea arrange and put the song titles. It looks so professionally done and original!

Regarding the karaoke, I'm still not done listening to all of the songs yet..

I love the cover design entries!!! All of them were good, some were really professional. But some were just totally jayish. ^^

I'd like to congratulate ftlouiea, Miss_gun, littlefishie, Panda_Shine and aina's entries. Beautiful!

i personally love miss_gun and ftlouiea's artwork! THUMBS UP!

and i thikn qinshihuang did a great work too!
but the fonts can be improved.

retrobaby's pian xin & yuekang's romantic song ROCKS as well!!! ;)
they sounded like a real singer!!! ;)

if i can vote i would have voted for dana's cover. very special, very simple, very different. doesn't look like any other mandopop CD cover. and the little angel girl at the crossroads was really cute. :love: it looks so professional haha.

qinshihuang's cover was pretty fantastic too. nice manipulation there! it looks like some cover which jay would approve of. it looks different from the pretty-boy covers. a little grand, elegant and a touch of royalty. and look at those track shoes! :laughing:

anyway, good job to those who had submitted those entries! i had a fun time looking through! ^^ (and its time for me to go brush up my PS-ing skills)

It is a pity that there was not a lot of participation. The tine period of the contests were right in the middle of my summer classes and APs work and such :oops: I hope to participate in future contests and hope there will be more participation. I didn't get to listen to the karaoke but to the cover contests I wanted to give applause to FTLouiea, Miss Gunz, LittleFishie and Qinshihuang I felt that their's were absolutly AMNAZING :happy:
