i just went to my first concert ever yesterday, and it got to be a Korean concert  ... anyway, it was somewhat dreadful cause it was raining heavily at the beginning and the concert was outdoors... walked through muddy fields and sat on wet chairs... we went really early, so we're not that far from the stage... their was a few speeched and a comedy skit before the concert started... don't really remember one performer from the other... the only names i remember was Se7en, Chiro or Chiciro (or something like that?), and BoA (which came out towards the end)... the concert lasted about 2 1/2 - 3 hrs... the worst thing ws that i REALLY needed to use the lavatory the whole time... my bladder was about to burst!... ended up using those unsanitary portable toilets afterwards

i think the performers where really good... i esp. liked the r&b songs and a rendition of "Don't Know Why" by one of those guys... that was the only english song so i really aprreciated it... when my friend develops and scans her pics, i'll post some here.

btw, did anyone else go?... it took place in Flushing Meadows Park... i've never been surrounded by so many Koreans in my life!

cici, i'm so jealous you got to see michelle branch.

i've only been to one concert, it was early this year in march, i went to see jarule and ashanti.

it kinda sucked cause i don't like ashanti, and i was practically dragged there by a group of friends.

but i'm really excited cause i'm going to go see craig david next month.

ah when i think about it... i've gone to a bunch of concerts.

I've been to:

2 Aaron Kwok concerts a few years back of course.

1 Leon Lai concert

1 Kelly Chen

1 Jay Chou

2 Korean concerts..I've seen f2ts, shinhwa, SES, god, Kim Jo Han, Boa, Jang Nara, Drunken Tiger...um just a bunch of people I can't remember anymore.

When I saw F2ts/shinhwa/ses etc... It was just your typical korean concert. like alllll teenagers. Bunch of balloons n posters. the concert starts and so does the screaming, which doesn't end til the very last minute. I left with my ears ringing and temporarily hard of hearing, with a rather sore throat the next morning. I screamed and jumped up and down and sang. Up i have some pretty close up pix of f2ts and other singers. I was in the 9th row on the floor (or was it 7th?) and I saw them pretty clearly and it was easy to go down and take pictures.

When I saw boa.. i got free tickets to that concert so that was cool. I had just come back from the bathroom when she went on so I was down on the floor (though i wasn't all the wayyyy up) it's just the security wouldn't allow people to go down. So I snapped some pictures, but it was a disposable so it had no zoom. Um that concert had more adults. So it wasnt anything too wild.

With Jay, there was more singing along than screaming. And most everyone stayed in there seats and sang. Except for when everyone rushed to the stage. Well, it was sorta weird for me. I prefer the atmosphere at Korean concerts.

sorry to say this..
but why do they scream all the time? i mean it's okay sometimes but continuously will be so annoying right? i got this The One CD version and there was this crazy girl screaming "jie lun" and other sharp noises the whole way thru, it was kindda annoying when you repeat the tracks and it was so embarrassing listening in front non-jay-fan friends! they thought we're nuts. i downloaded ni ting de dao live version, the sound quality wasn't that good, and the whole bunch of girls were shouting all the time i didn't hear jay's voice at all. really hate that shouting :-x

anyway hvn't been to any actual concert b4, hope to go to jay's someday.
went to a smaller scale one, it's just "fund-raising" and the artists turn up to sing a song or two.
1) BAD, liang jing ru, ah niu, ah di he chang tuan
2) pin guan

people tend to scream so much in concerts...
its really annoying when you really wanna hear what the artist is saying...

anyway...you guys are so lucky...you've been to so many concerts...

i've only been to 2 moffat concerts...the first one...i was like way in the back...and the second one...i was right infront of dave moffat...oh...pure bliss...hehe
i've also been to a stephen speaks concert...and it was really cool coz my friend gave me tickets...free of charge...hehe

and ASOS, ken and vaness went here in the philippines just last month...and i got tickets...but i ended up not watching it anyway...coz it was raining and all these people were there and i kinda was scared there was gonna be some kind of a stampede... but i feel really regretful now that i wasnt able to see them... oh well! maybe next time!

i been to -1- leon lai 2- lesley cheung - 3- jackey cheong - 4- jay chou.
only at jays' the atmoshere is fantastic - the fan ssings along each songs - no wonder jay need not remeember the lyrics - his fan sdoes it for him . but - i hope fans do not use those whistling instruments - so annoying and pointless .

lol... yeah, those crazy fanatics do tend to scream a lot (and VERY loudly)... but it wasn't that bad at the concert i went to... no crazy screamers... everybody stayed seated so ppl at the back can see too.

i almost went on F4's concert last time... my friend was pressuring me to go... the tickets were rediculously expensive... $218 (USD) for front seats! ... i really don't want to waste that money on them... well, she went and she told me that those fans screamed throughout the concert and she could hardly hear them sing  ... she's been to many concerts and she didn't even invite me!

you ppl are so lucky to have gone to so many concerts... but i'll try to go to more in the future... i really want to go to Hoobastank and Godsmack's concert, but i'm afraid of the moshing... i'm quite short so i'm sure that i'll get stomped!

i went to eason's concert in sydney the other night and it was sooooooooooo goood!!! i'm not such a big fan of his but i went anyway becos he's really cool as in person, and i was right!!! he's a really funny guy!! and he actually sings better in person as well, so now i'm CRAZY over him now!!

it wasn't as crazy as the hk concerts i see on tv, and i was actually suprised because no one gave him any gifts or anything except one person.

he sang for about three hours, with onli one break when his guest yumiko sang like 3 songs. i dunno why ppl say she can dance, but i didnt see any skill there, her backup dances were really bad as well but they were better than her at least.

cept at the end, like the last 5 songs it looked like he wanted to faint on stage becos it seemed as tho he was real tired, but it was so sweet of him becos he just kept going just for the sake of us sydney fans.

this is not a famous star's concert, but i thought i'd share it anyway...

last saturday, my fren's church held a talent concert for about 16 acts... it was held in a performing arts concert hall....and i went to watch it with a fren of mine.... basically because my fren was performing Jay's An Jing for the concert...

it was crazy! when they announced him all the girls went crazy...started screaming and everything...he was singing and playing piano as well....and at the end some girls threw him flowers...

I've been to 2 concerts so far, the first one a Jay one and the other is the ZPop concert.
The Jay one was really great just that I was sitted amongst some adults and they were really boring just sitted down in their seats and did nothing! I liked the part where Jay threw his basketballs! I was so close in getting one. *shucks.
The Zpop concert was erm a rather wet event I should say, it was pouring like crazy! My friends and I were soaked! But it was great I guess as we had fun in the end.

i don't go to many concert (because im in KL only for 4 yrs). only three so far.

:1: westlife 2001 (cheperoned her coz she's still 12 at that time)
:2: jL's may 2003 (dragged my sis to accompany me)
:3: Linkin Park oct 2003 (dragged my fellow LP-obbsessed fren)

best concert between the three? LP of coz!! i can clearly see mr hahn from my position and don't have to see the screens all the time. i danced, i sang, i jumped and i had the time of my life that night. every one was doing the same and we had fun together. i had body aches and sore throat the next morning though from singing and shouting the whole 120mins non stop.

jL's was nice too, but the people around me just sat there. i feel weird jumping and standing by myself so i just sang along *quietly* and my sis who is not a jL fan screamed louder than me just to irritate ppl around us  i sat too far from the stage (his tix was expensive) and have to depend on the screen to see him. luckily i brought my binoculars along but that doesn't help much either (must remember to wear contact lenses instead of wearing glasses next time). but he's awesome, especially when he played the piano...

I just went to a Craig David concert last Saturday in Melbourne, it was quite funny because when my friend and I got there we didn't realise how far back our seats actually were and we ended up sitting in the very back row, it was quite disappointing actually and because we didn't realise how far back we were we didn't think to get binoculars so we couldn't actually see anything.

But overall the concert was really good, especially his band, they were really entertaining and at the end some of his band members came out to throw the towels that Craig had used into the crowd.

i've only been to 2 concerts so far...both last year
1. Twins. it was their first one. i know they worked hard for it, but. they can't sing at alll!!! i was their big fan at the time, owned all their CDs. but after the corruption in hk music industry a few months ago, i sorta not like them that much

2. of course...JAY! when he had his Fantasy concert i didn't really know him that well so i didn't go. but i went to The One! my friend had relations with the person who held the concert, so we got tickets in the 6th row, which is pretty close!!! it was sooo exciting, my first time sitting so near a stage! it was soo fabulous. i still remember the fireworks scared me!! it was my best experience so far.

ohmygoodness...all ur recollections of jay concerts make me so envious. gahhhh!!!
i haven't been to many concerts put up buy popular contemporary singers/artistes except a few..the post-sars concert in Singapore was like the most memorable. cos they featured many favourable artistes. like 5566. hahaa..i got so hyper! everyone was on high and we couldn't stop jumping and screaming..there were like fireworks and everything. MAN!!!

but i've got more experiences with autograph sessions, though. haha.

Retrobaby, how was it watching him from the 6th row? I might be in the 10th row or so since I'm going to his Shanghai concert on the 12th of December, but was the 6th row far? I mean, could you see his face?!?!?!

i've only been to few concerts

1) incubus - first concert, it was pretty good, but i got lots of bruises coz i was at the front of the mosh pit against the barriers.
2)m-one (rock festival) - lifehouse, garbage, googoodolls, nickelback, simple plan, default, billy idol, midnight oil, some others i can't remember. it wasn't that great, but lifehouse is one of my fave bands, so that was a highlight.
3)matchbox twenty - i saw them the day before my bday, it was probably the best concert i've been too. we had seats for this one.

i've been to some promo performances, for incubus, phantom planet and michelle branch, who were all great. michelle branch was really nice and natural, she started signed things as soon as she finished her performances, untill her ppl started pulling her away.

une_topaze, so lucky to see LP! they came to aus before they went to malaysia, but i couldn't go coz i had to work that night, and it was a few days before exams

and when he took of his shirt...whooah
