Who are the top best male and female Korean singers?

I've been listening to Korean songs lately but I'm not sure what the top ranked /most popular Korean singers are. Does anyone have an updated list?

i'm not an expert in korean music industry, but i do know a little bit....

as for the male, i think it's bi rain....
he eventually has fans from all over the world and undeniably very extremely popular among asians.....
his popularity is proven to be very huge as he is listed as 100 most influental people in the WORLD by an international magazine, TIMES....
the lists is divided into a few categories, including one category for artist and celebrity....
i think there's like 20 people per list...
he is one of the two only asians who got listed(if i'm not mistaken), alongside
the Oscar-winning director,Ang Lee, in that category....

as for female, hmm.... boA, maybe?
i don't really know about female korean singers but boA is indeed very popular.
she won the MAA most influental artist when she was only 18....
that's all i know...

I cant highly advise you to listen to Shinhwa(boy band group,actually recently they released a new album)Rain aka Bi is a fast growing star nowadays,he even made his concert in New York Madison Square Garden!Kangta and Boa are good too,hehe

but BoA, Se7en, Shinhwa are good too. I guess it's really up to your own taste who you'll like best=]

I think Rain (Bi) would be one and BoA would be the second, they all have different musics so it depends on what you really like to listen to but those are my top Korean Singers ^^

To reply to ker ai teresa, I was mostly thinking about the most popular Korean Singers- what most people prefer listening to here. I just wanted recommendations and hear peoples different opinions....

Well, for recommendation on songs from me.. I think Taebin's first solo album was fantastic. Singers from the YG Family are great, for example; Se7en, WheeSung, 1TYM and even Eddie.
For some girl singers, maybe Byul and Lee Soo Young.

Currently, everyone is having the Korean-high-fever. That is, including me.

For me Teddy Park is the best male Korean singer and as a bonus rapper too.
As for a female I don't really listen to many female Korean singers, but I would have to say Lexy. She has a tremendously powerful voice.

Teddy is certainly a talented rapper & composer & lyricist. Singer... he hardly sings though. Unless you're talking about his crazy cover of a Limp Bizkit song. XD

Everybody's voted for singers that are popular right at this moment, but Brown Eyes (the disbanded duo) are great too.

I think the most popular male singer is BI and the most popular female is Boa.

However, I think, of those I've heard, the most talented korean male singer is Tim.
