Comprising Maki (vocals), Yusuke (vocals), Meg (guitar), Kazuto (guitar), Mackaz (bass), and Sassy (drums), the band's origin was a Metallica cover band formed by Meg and Sassy in high school and original named Anti-Nobunaga. It wasn't until 2003 they met their vocalist and changed their name to High and Mighty Color. In 2004 they released its indie debut EP, Over in November, selling it exclusively through Tower Records retail locations and selling out in a month. The band's single "Pride" is used as the opening theme for hit anime Gundam Seed Destiny. The band's EP was re-released by Sony Music Entertainment in April 2005.

 never knew their song was for an anime. but anyhoo, i was just watching the music video "Over" and thought it was nice, plus there's not that many a jrock band have a female vocalist. So anyone heard of them?

i love High and Mighty Color! :) i got to know them because
of the songs they did for Gundam Seed & Bleach. haha,
they're sort of like the "sister group" of Orange Range because
they both come from Okinawa....
did they sing a jap version of Jay's fearless? I didn't know
that! I want to hear!!!!

yes, they do sing the song for fearless, replacing jay....
for japan only....
which cause uproar and protests among jay's fans in japan
who actually claimed to boycott the movie.....
i haven't heard the song, but hopes it's good....
does anyone have it??

the song's good....
but i think it's too modern rock....
fearless is a kinda traditional kung-fu movie,
so i don't think the song suited that movie...
jay's song suits the movie best...
just my opinion....

OMG a HaMC thread... i love these guys they are really good although i dont like their new album... way too hard core for my liking but i like their songs like Days and RUN RUN RUN off their first CD.... i didnt know it replaced Fearless in the movie.. yeah i agree with you kamceng the song is way to modern hard-core rock to suit the movie... more tradional styled song like fearless would have suited it better or just leave fearless would have been the best.. :P..
and wazoomie is really good for HaMC media.. the owner loves HaMC's music and is always the most up to date place to get the music... he is also on jpopsuki and always uploads the songs their too which is really good too... :D
