Lately, i've really been into Maksim's music. He's Croatian and plays the piano so well......it's just amazing. I think he is pretty good looking and is very talented. Did anyone see him perform his hit piano piece "The Flight of the Bumble-bee" at Miss Hong Kong Pageant Final 2003 last month? It was truly amazing! :excited: That's my favorite so far....

Oh so this is the guy who played at the Miss Hong Kong 2003 thing.I never knew that.I have to say that he's amazing.His fingers were moving really fast.I actually liked the song(the bumble bee thing) he played at the Miss Hong Kong 2003.It's actually nice.Thanks for the clip,picture and site.

Yeah, I saw him in an MV when I was in ROC.
He's Bulgarian I believe.

I thought pianists all died from public music, but there he is.

I got a bunch of his songs from p2p.

I've heard one song in which he sings, it's really weird and I don't know bulgarian which makes it weirder.

Jingle is right, he is Croatian. and yup Jingle me also crazy over him. he is so talented and plus he has a certain air to him. saw him playing in the Miss HK 2003 and also at the MTV Summer Summit in Taiwan. i basically think he is so cool.

I saw him first on MTV Chinese on his flight of the bumblebee. And he so cool. Cause a bad boy kind of person like him can play piano so awesome. I like playing VOS on the classic section. So i enjoy to listening to his song. Cool huh. Yap he so cool and he just like Chester from LP.

ooohhh i like him too! i was just about to look around for a maksim thread and start one if there wasnt any! i like how he combines his gangster image with classic piano skills! i really like the flight of the bumblebee, i just dont think much of the video. i saw a concert of him on tv here, and his other songs arent bad too. i might get his album if i have the money.

I think the whole album is good. Each song has it's own feel to it........very unique! :) But the one that I love the most is still the flight of the bumblebee, it's just such a lively song! :wink2:

from the first i saw him palyin bumblebee on MTV instantly i said "wow" and now i'm forcing my sister to play like him :laughing: but it was hard!!!really hard!!!

I first heard of him tru one of my frens n decided to check his songs out on tv..after watchin his flight of the bumblebee mv on mtv i was astounded...his fingers were moving so fast....his other songs were great too but my fave is still the bumblebee song..i've tried to copy him on my piano but all i got was sore fingers n quite unable to finis it =P

Actually, I'd hardly consider his cross-over sound his "own style". Vanessa Mae has done it, so has Bond, and many other people whom I've never heard of.

Having that said, I bought his Cd a few days ago and I am completely addicted to it. I hate the techno but it's his playing that is so completely amazing and fascinating. even better to watch him play the piano, watch his facial expressions, that crazy, undefinable PASSION that he so obviously displays.

He's a very very very supremely talented pianist. This is true talent. This is what genius is made of. I so need to buy his classical album.

Lately, Maksim came to Malaysia for his concert on 22nd April. Did anyone went to see it?

Oh! He is really really talented. Fast , long fingers and a great look.
Hehe, he changed his clothes two times during the whole concert...and both were black in color :)

He played the piano with deep and great expression..and with the background music, it was fantastic.

Ahhh you went to his CONCERT!!!! He played in Singapore on Saturday, 24/4/04, but I DIDN'T GO!!!!! My mom found the tickets too expensive. :cry:

Ahhh dammit why did he charge so high? And why did my mom think it was too expensive? I was willing to buy the cheapest ticket!

he charged the same as Jielun though, interestingly. Cheapest was S$69, most expensive S$149, just like Jielun.

Maksim had his first concert in Hong Kong on April 29th and the fans went crazy for him. Here's a picture of him at the concert. It was only 1 show......and too bad I could not be there......I wish I was there....He arrived in HK on the 28th with his wife and fans rushed up to him with gifts!! I would probably do that too.....actually, I'd probably be busy taking every picture I can get. Any lucky ducks went to his concert? :wink2:
