Depends on which part of the song you are refering to actually.

The introduction and most of the songs have piano in it. If its the string instrument you are refering to. It's the pipa. You can see the instrument in the MV when the girl in red is playing it in the middle of the song.

I think it's also the same instrument used in Qi Li Xiang?

no, the instrument jay was playing in qi li xiang was the banjo one. i think it's called the "ruan"? the ruan is played horizontally while the pipa is played vertically

rad915: if you're referring to the quick strumming throughout the song, i'm not sure, but it sounds like the pipa to me, like stitchphil said. there's also a gu-zheng featured in the MV too, but you cant really hear it in the song.

I think the instrument used in Qi Li Xiang is called the ban ruan or something, I seldom see it back in my orchestra days. It's very seldomly used.

Though I saw the guzheng in the MV, but I can't seem to hear it very clearly in the song. The only string instrument I could clearly hear was the pipa. So I'm pretty sure it was the pipa. Can't confirm about the zheng though
