pao it's actually like this, di ba, jielun likes to play games...well he and the NQMM people played a game and the consequence (so playfully Jielun) was Yu Hao and Lara had to play kissy. Somehow this private neoprint of them got into the paparazzis hands. so there...Jielun had to retaliate. I honestly wish he'd have more patience.

and I've just listened to Leehom's new album. I like itvery much. I even like the track with Bi. ^__^ I like it that much that I'm asking my friend who's in TW right now to buy it for me. :roll:

i studied all by myself. It's really easy to learn + there are lots of online tutorials. Short courses do not offer in depth how to's. If it's a full course then maybe yes, but really you'll just waste money. I'm sure you can learn it on your own. :wink2:

and and isn't MISA so heavy? I am quite sad after it too. It does have that effect. But definitely WORTH IT.

You should get one there too, it's really cheap... they're selling it for P230 na lang, i bought mine for P250. hehehehe..... i like the first song, the rap was cool, specially the last ones... ^^ I barely heard Rain in their collab... why?

chinked-out was supposed to be chinese inspired hiphop/r&b music of some sort... there's a little difference from the normal music... but you can hear most of it from RangKai or HuaTianCuo... ZaiMeiBian is good too... this time he combined chinese opera music with hiphop and that's the outcome... a little chinese instruments here, some rapping there... :happy:

singapore version is very much like the Taiwan version. But they do sell China versions too which usually doesn't look half as pretty as the original. but they are really cheap.

from what I've seen the inlay is square and folded into more squares. got random pics of leehom and had lyrics plastered over some white space. It does look decent though.

and oh, have you heard Lee hom's composition for Lim Jeong Hee called Jayu? I'm soooooo crazy over it. I got frantic when I saw in the lyric sheet that Leehom wrote it. You must check it out. ^^

So yes, Politics is not my favorite topic at all. I like to discuss but most of the time it really pains me. But the harsh truth is we can't avoid it.

I'm not gonna say much since I respect everyone's opinions regarding politics. Just saw this Pinoy indie movie tonight - Nasaan si Francis?. Anybody ever heard of it? It was very good, actually. Very funny, not corny at all. Rico Blanco was in it as one of the supporting characters. he was very funny, there. Geeky, in fact. It was very surprising because the character he played was so much different from his image as the vocalist of Rivermaya.

I'm back in Shanghai :excited: I arrived here last night. I've been away for awhile and there are already some changes. For one, the buildings/apartments near our area are scheduled to be demolished in April to give way to the construction of the station for the new subway line. The cold is more comfortable now, though it sucks that it's much colder inside the house than it is outside :oops:

I also started teaching again today, despite lacking lots of sleep. I was just so happy to see my 'little boy' (my 10 year old student) again :-)

CA I saw the posters for that movie. Seemed really out of the box and funny. Too bad I had so little time in Manila; didn't get to watch it. but got to watch Big Time; it was good!

And JJ Lin's new album just rocks!!! :thumbsup:

welcome to the thread....about your question as to what a "barong" is...its a Filipino formal wear just like what a tuxedo or a suit is to the westerners....ask your bro and dad to wear a shirt underneath it...you can buy some at a filipino store...or you can order from me...heheheh...i know some great barong makers...although not designer duds...but theyre okay...they'er also great as a gift too...even girls/women wear a stylized barong...

kahel: I got to know about him in a really weird way. I have this neighbor who always plays LOUD music during the morning. Sometimes its Faye Wong, A-mei and others. Then one day he played this song, Dong Feng Po by Jay Chou. At that time I didnt really know who he was but I was familiar with the song cause my classmates would sing or hum it in school. I went over my neighbor's house and asked who's song was he playing and he said Zhou Jie Lun. The very next day~ I went and bought a CD by him.. and immediately fell in love with his music.. :) hehe.. pretty long , huh?

Also, I went to the autograph signing session of Hu Yan Bin (Anson Hu) yesterday at Shanghai City of Books (the biggest bookstore we have here in the city). I got to talk to him and he shook my hand twice! :excited:

Me: I'm a fan from the Philippines
HYB: Zhen de? (really?)
Me: Yes, I'm from the Philippines
HYB: Thank you! (in English! hehe so cute!)

I was just so overwhelmed and so happy that I didn't get to tell him how much I love his music :worry: but oh well... I finally got to meet him. Unfortunately, we weren't allowed to take a photo of him. Too bad, too, they ran out of tickets for the mini-concert he's having on Sunday (they give it away for every 2 albums you buy). oh well... there's always a next time. btw I uploaded his latest album here (http://www.jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17855)
