Anybody half-taiwanese??

Hey~ I'm one of those people who are taiwanese but borned in another place (miami)...but since my dad is diplomatic, I move around the whole world and I can't study my level of taiwanese...(But I know how to speak and write~)

I just want to know if theres anyone like me....:wink2: :bleh:

Hello, I am half-Taiwanese too~!

My mother is Taiwanese, but my dad is from China. But, I like in the UK.
I sorta understand what you mean about not being able to study Taiwanese. I would love to be able to understand the language [dialect, really] properly.
I know Mandarin, so that's all good I guess.

Anyways, I would love to get to know you better.

I am American, but my mother was from Taiwan, and my dad kind of from Taiwan, so simliar (I'm just Chinese though, no aboriginal blood :\) Love Taiwan though, speak mandarin as well

hmm, one of my parents is from taiwan, ....so i guess i'm half twaiwanese? but i don't know much twaiwanese, just manderin.... i know how to speak ok, but my writing is horrible, i slack off too much in chinese school..T_T i'm also born somewhere else, CA

i don't know how you would classify half-taiwanese, but i think of it as one of your parents are taiwanese, so i guess i am half-taiwanese. my mom is from taiwan, but my dad is from china.

i dislike it when people are either very taiwanese or very against taiwanese. since i'm inbetween, i can't go on either sides. My friends are either completely taiwanese or completely china-nese; so then one day, they were talking about how you can tell by looking at someone if they're taiwanese or chinese, and then one of them pointed to me and said "you look filipino." i have nothing against filipinos, but that comment just kind of made me go :crazy: .

i love listening to my mom speak taiwanese, cause that means she's talking about something she doesn't want me to know :bleh: . i can understand some taiwanese, but i can't speak it.

I'm exactly half Taiwanese. My father's Taiwanese/ ethnically Chinese and my mother's European-American.

I was born in Taipei,Taiwan but my family moved to New York when I was 3 for job purposes. I know how to speak mandarin and a little taiwanese but I can only read and write a little. XD
BTW both my parents are Taiwanese.
