This thread is really quiet for over a month. Well, I hope this will perk up alittle.

The hosts for the programme has been finalised and there will be a total of 4 hosts, Belinda, Jeff Wang, Milk (Ex-Energy member) and the winner of Superhost.

Some of the judges are music producers Xu Huanliang and Li Sisong.

A total of 18 finialists will be competiting on the Mediacorp stage from April 10th, 7.30pm. And the bands of the 18 finalists will be announced at Plaza Singapura Feb 19, 1pm.

The viewers only contribute 30% of the final results whereas the judges contributes the remaining 70%.

I'm not very sure Jas, but for some extra information here.

One of the J3 members is my friend's brother and also a magician. J3 is also formally formed with Junyang in it, but as you all know that Junyang has already participated Project Superstar thus he can't sing as a team. There's actually another member in the former J3 too besides Junyang, a total of 5 members. They are formally called Just'DFive (if I'm not wrong).

The genre of this contest is quite well range. We have J-pop, C-pop, boy band and girly groups....

Hehe, I know more about J3 because I know the brother of one of their members. Oh I knew where the other member went to. My friend told me that it's because he didn't want to be a singer, thus he never participates in any competitions. But he's said to be the best singer of JustDFive.

Indeed some of these bands are more different with the male band members putting on makeup like eyeliners etc.

But I'm very happy that Singapore's music is really opening up. We could usually see these kinds of bands only in Japan or Korea. Some of which are really cool. I wonder what type of bands are more appealing to Singaporeans? Rock bands are getting popular now. An example would be Mayday.

Yeap, Liu De Hua's band Q'nobe is quite good haha.

I was shocked at RustyNailz elimination, I think they are pretty good. They remind me of Beyond and have already formed for 3 years.

I'm glad that SkyPower is out as I think they aren't really that good, too much of dance in their performance and lacks good vocals.

Actually I kindda like Brods, they are pretty good. There are many types of band in Superband, it's really hard to judge like that as all of them are of different style.

They named their band Mi Lu Bing because the 3 members like to drink Milo Peng. I don't think it's the meaning of lost soldiers.

MiLuBing's quite funny.. and can't imagine their name was derived from Milo Bing haha..I don't like Lucify.. cannot sing lei..I like Jing Bao Yue Tuan, & Brods & J3 also quite good.

The standard wasn't as good as I thought it would be lei.. many lead vocalists are not man, powerful, strong & good enough (so I thought hhaha). The Rustynailz lead singer is very powerful. Lots of bao4 fa1 li4. Wasted..

Yesterday watched the results show then they showed the auditions. There was this band which got eliminated cos their lead vocalist was away.. quite sad...think it's called SIP or something..

Anyway, Shui Shang Piao was really funny! He sidetracked & said that Mi Lu Bing's guitar is good. I thought he was going to say some bad comments haha.. But the drummer's really talented! He played the keyboard & sang, & later could switch to play the drums - not influenced at all. & the beatbox, i thought it was beats generated from the keyboard! haha..

Anyway, Xia Ri Feng sucks! I would definitely think that Glamours are better than them.. sigh.. wonder where they get all the votes from when they got such low marks.

Juz-B - totally loved their Si Mian Chu Ge, even though their pronunciation not that good. But it's rap what, even if your pronunciations' good, I don't think it matters so much haha.. Their harmony is so ** in sync! haha..& can tell that they totally put in lots of effort - from their synchronised movements & all - not like the Xia Ri Feng - so sloppy.

& Qi:nobe - seems like they r much better doing raps. Liu De Hua must really work hard in his singing haha..

Oh & I think that Jing Bao Yue Tuan's drummer is really good too. Full of "li4 liang4". Very strong hah...

Oh J3 sang Di Er Tian Tang. They have so much of JJ & Junyang & Hai Die's shadows.. keep singing the same few songs that Junyang sang. But their singing's good I think.

I think there's some confusion there. Mi Lu Bing didn't sing their self-composed song. They sang Huang Pin Yuan's Hai Lang. The tune of the song is more Wu-Bai-ish which sounds like those hokkien songs. I think I've used the wrong words. I should have said "arrangement" instead of "composition". :oops:

Though my my friend's brother is in J3, my gut feeling tells me that they only can make it to somewhere to the top 5-6. I hope I wouldn't come true! So far they only sung Jay and JJ songs. I hope to see a breakthough in them too.

I don't know why the public votes for Summer Breeze. Their performance is very messy and I can't really hear the vocals from the two girl members. I hope they will be out next week.

Hey Stary! Thanks for uploading the song! After listening to it, I think "Milo Peng"'s arrangement is great, but huang pin yuan's vocals better haha...

By the way, I saw J3 at Fish & Co the other day. I thought I saw Junyang, but the guy was wearing sunglasses & cap, so I think it might be the keyboardist instead. They really dress like on stage - quite "hip-hoppish" with the baseball cap & all, especially the lead singer ha..

He's really dresses up quite abit. When I was studying in Ngee Ann Poly, I see him quite often in school though he's not from my course. Maybe it's because of he's fair and he has a lanky frame. And there's one thing that he always wears - a cap. I never see him without a cap before. And true enough, he always wear a cap during the performances.

Well well well ... today's my first time watching this as I was out of Singapore all this while. I wonder if there're any places I can download the missed episodes. I must say Singapore really has a lot of talented bands.

Although some I watched today were not as good but I still am impressed. The band who's left me the deepest impression today is Mi Lu Bing!!! They're so young and talented.

And quite a few bands sang Eason's and Jay's songs. J3 totally impressed me with my favourite [Yuan You Hui]!!!

Hmmmmm, one of the bands I felt that was a little posey was Jade.

Sorry fans of Jade but I don't think they're much band material. But this is just my personal opinion.

Oh yah ... Shi Nuo Bi's [Shuang Jie Gun] rocks!!! I'm just a sucker for anyone who can do Jay's raps well.

But back to the show, i am really surprised Summer Breeze is still in. How did they even get into the Big Jam with that performance? Something must be wrong with the judges for letting them in or they are just there to fill up the space.

I thought JuzB was underrated while Qi:nobe & Lucify was overrated. JuzB really imrpoved a lot in pronunciation. The harmony's so soothing to the ears!

Anyway, I think it's really interesting that every week, many different groups have different "patterns", & it really shows that they do put in loads of effort to present to the audience their best. & it's good that most of them are improving week by week.

Just finished watching the show just now... overall it was not too bad..

Qinobe - Their version of HYJ was :thumbsup: The lead singer even did a pony-tail plaited like Jay in the mv.. i even saw that he was holding a fan at the beginning of the performance. :D And the malay guy.. he was really funny dressing up like the chinese opera singer..

Lucify - They sang LSFB. Quite good.. although I think that the lead singer was singing too forcefully at times.. I think his vines at his neck came out quite obvious..

Summer Breeze - Cannot make it... Especially the two girls.. the pitch of the female part is too high for them, they sounds really off-key.. and again, they got the lowest score from the judges.. I hope I don't see them again next week.

Brods- They sang LQ. A bit blur.. dunno what they are singing.. I still prefer their last week's performance..

Mantou - I thought they are going to sing "phantom of the opera".. haha.. :D

Amber - I was really :glug: to see that the girl is able to play the keyboard blindfolded.. :thumbsup: She was good...

Not forgetting..
Juz-B - I think I prefer them singing slow tempo songs.. I can't really make out the words they are rapping... sorry guys... :wave:

I can't really remember the rest of the groups.. I only notice those who sang Jay's song and a few others..:bleh:

Generally Q'Nobe was good. I love their whole arrangement of the music. It was very well done. The music has nothing lacking at all. Perhaps only the rapping done by both the lead and the Malay guy wasn't that good but it's definitely a winning performance.

J3's arrangement was pretty well done too, but they lack in suprises. I hope they will have something different next week.

Mi Lu Bing's performance is very special and full of entertainment. I'm sure they took time to think their introduction. Great effort.

Lucify's lead singer is slighly shouting during the chorus but overall a commendable performance.

My favourite for today is Q:Nobe. I think they by far were the best. Summer Breeze ... again, don't know what the hell they were doing. The choice of song was bad and I finally realized what spoilt the band, it's the 2 girls!!!

They can't sing nor dance! Forget it!

I don't like Lucify, I dont' understand why week after week the judges say they are good. I mean... the music yes... but the lead singer's performance is much to be desired of. He's just constantly shouting... all the notes are so are so out of key. I don't think rock=out of tune.

It seems like i've missed quite a few good performance of Superband... watch it this week and i agree that Shi Nu Bi is good... haha... these groups/bands are getting better as i heard from my friends and decided to watch it this week since there's so many Jay songs. haha. i agree too that the Xia Ri Feng should be out. i saw their performance on the telecast of the first match and they were really horrible... i wonder how they actually get through all these rounds since are not as popular as other groups? They vote for themselves? P/S: about their performance tonight, they are just so not creative.. using the original dance of the song and is not as good as the original too. i hope there won't be any good bands or groups being kicked out because of them.

Sigh mens... the toopid xia ri feng is in again. Now Jing Bao has to be sacrificed. I liked Jing Bao. I thought their music was good. But the singer just couldn't perform well today. Think Qian Nian Zhi Lian is a too tough song to sing. Hope they can make it in the Fan Shen Sai.

I thought Qi:nobe did well! They really put in loads of effort to design everything, like what Wendy said, even the pleated pony tail was added in. & where did they get that type of costume?? So interesting ha ha...Perhaps the Liu De Hua is a great fan of Jay too hehe...I thought he rapped the best tonight, better than last week also. Very entertaining.

Milubing was also very entertaining. I agree with Stary, they sure spent some time thinking about the intro, & they even added in a snippet of Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) - is that the correct title?? Quite itneresting ha..They really haf lots of "patterns" to present to the audience. The lead singer is so thin haha...

I personally don't like Amber, especially with them singing the Nan Quan Ma Ma song. (spoilt the song)The lead singer so unstable. Lucify, I thought not too bad...but I don't quite like them too.. Brods shld just stick to 'singing', not 'rapping'.

I thought Juz-B could haf done better. I personally didn't quite like WQan Mei de Hu Dong. I preferred Si Mian Chu Ge. Nonetheless, they still haf my support hehe..

I think Summer Breeze may last till the very last few rounds! Can't stand them...especially the 2 girls..

I think like what Jing Bao said, it's really too tight - the schedule. They only haf such a short time to practise, & every week, they must present something different. Definitely not easy. I thought the whole thing was too draggy. They shld not eliminate 1 band by 1 band. It's too tiresome. But again, they just want to make money.. & make more money - hence we still haf pple like Summer Breeze still in.. sigh..

Yeap, everyone has their likes and dislikes. And not everyone has the same opinion on things.

At first I didn't like Q'Nobe too, but I really like their arrangment of music. I find that nothing is lacking from their music. Maybe they have enough members so play the instruments that makes up the music.

I feel a waste for Jing Bao Yue Tuan. They made a mistake for a week and they were out. I find the three guys quite talented only that the lead singer is a bit weak. When will Summer Breeze be out?

Actually I didn't expect Soul to soar during the competition. But they managed to blow me away with their performances too. It's really a feat to sing and dance. Most boybands lip synch when they sing fast numbers. But Soul managed to sing and also dance very well.

I was watching the results when being on msn with some friends who were watching too, the moment Xi Ri Feng got in, all my windows came either with "wtf?!?" or "omg!!".

I cannot take the shock for now, just felt that maybe they have been dumping far too much money to get this far for this competition with such performances. I still cannot believe they got in with 19 points from the judges when Lucify had like 30 because of the phone votings. Seriously, the girls should just stop singing.

This is the biggest joke on earth, SB got the lowest score and yet they managed to get in time and time again. This is so darn unfair to the other teams that have been trying so hard each weak to improve themselves. I really don't feel like watching this program anymore - the pple that are supporting SB should really really think very very hard as it's not popularity program but about true talent and I don't really think SB has REAL talent at all. They suck big time and they really really spoiled Jay's song last night - even my father who seldom watches this program said so.

I don't agree that Amber choose the wrong song - maybe it was the way they sang and presented the whole thing but still they actually in scoring did way better than that silly group. I'm very disappointed - i thought they would be out out out yesterday but then : (

There's another round of revivals for the bands that are booted from this week to the next 4 weeks.

I guess that the SB will get the highest number of votes.. hahaha..

Just went to see their superband blog, and it was like almost 90% of the comments were hate-comments. Everyone was scolding them and asking them to get out.

OMG, OMG, yesterday when I was watching Superband during the results my heart as in my mouth when SB and Lucify were standing on the stage, it was a like a reminder of how Lucify was kicked out by them juz b4 the revival round. When they announced Lucify I screamed so loudly - so happy for them coz they have been improving according to what I have been seeing and from what the judges have been saying about them.

Am finally glad glad that SB is finally out, they totally spoilt the song and was rather surprised Chong Qing gave them 3.5 yesterday, that was the lowest score a judge has ever given during Superband.

Jordan71: I think Chong Qing didn't gave them the lowest. It was Li Yi Wen who gave a 3 point score to them.

Somehow, I think the performance wasn't really that bad to fail. As an encouragement I think they should give them at least a five. Maybe they really hope them to be out. I still think the worst performance was Bu De Bu Ai and not yesterday's.

I was quite surprised (and happy) that two of the judges (chong qing and Li yiwen) gave them such low marks.

I think it was because the judges also cannot stand them already. Yesterday's performance was alrite (because the girls are not singing with their terrible voice). But nonetheless, they are finally out, and that's good news.

I hope they don't get revived in the revivals, cos i rather Amber to be in, not SB.

I just watched the show tonight and there were quite a few commendable performances.

I love Soul's dance! They are so cranky this time. J3's performance was the best since the qualifiers with Jacky dancing. It really suprised me. Of course, Mi Lu Bing's rendition of Tian Mi Mi wasn't too bad too. I liked the part where Nic uses his electric guitar as the Pi Pa. It's quite innovative. :happy:

Lucify - I really like their 'japanese high-school boys' look.. very kawaii-neh.. But was quite disappointed that they got the lowest score.. i like them.. hope that they won't get kicked-out tonight.. :cry:

Milubing - Yeah.. Nic's is finally singing again tonight.. i mean, for last week, didn't get to hear his voice much.. I really prefer his vocals.. so rock man..

The last week when Lucify and Summerbreeze were in the bottom 2, i was also worried that history was gonna repeat, but thankfully, it didnt. (:

So this week, when SOUL, MLB, QI:NOBE & JUZ-B were left on stage, i nearly cried, esp for SOUL when they were in bottom 3...
Luckily, they made it through! (=

Superband is getting more and more exciting with uprising tension and the theme for the following week is local compositions!

Oh my, today's result is so shocking.

When Mi Lu Bing, Soul, Qinobe and Juz-B are standing on one of the platform, I thought they are going to qualify for the next round, but I was so surprise to see that the platform is not in red, even Jeff was kind of shocked as well from the way he talk.

When Qinobe and Juz-B were standing at the platform, I just don't know who will qualify and at the end Juz-B did not made it to the next round, I was so shock even though I was a little disappointed with the performence today...

Juz wanna to say this - the results announced are not based on the lowest score, they are placed in any order that they liked. Jeff Wang is juz trying to put on a show - Belinda, Cui Fang and him already know the result, they juz want to create the tension, the excitment.

I'm super duper SHOCKED that Juz B is OUT of the game!! They are the group that I always always like to watch becoz of their innovative way they sing, the dance and all. They are what the judges call the ideal band. I was so touched when they sang Kiss You Goodbye to their fans - no other band has done this before. So fans if you like and support your favourite muz vote very very hard for them okay so that they will not be voted out.

Am happy for the other groups that I'm supporting that they managed to get in and stay alive!! Kudos to you fans who voted for them.

I think the funniest part of the results show is when J3 and Q'nobe was the only 2 standing on the green and blue box.

Everyone had practically a shocked face as normally at least 3 bands will be at either of the side.

Somehow, I felt that Mi Lu Bing was slightly over-rated last week. I liked the creativity of Nic using the electric guitar as the pi pa, but I find the judges rated them too high.

On the other hand, J3 was under-rated. They could easily get above 35 or maybe even 36-37 for that performance. I even felt that they were one of the best bands last week.

Does anyone feel the same?

Guess it wasn't their week after all. Lots of people from the superband forum doesn't like Mantou. I think most likely is the lead singer. Actually I like their arrangment of songs, but it lacks lustre.

Wendy: Yup, most likely. I think the band that is booted out next week will be the last band to join the other revival teams. So therefore 6 bands will be in the semifinals. Next, two bands will be booted leaving the last 4 bands in the grand finals.

I guess Mi Lu Bing and Soul should be able to enter whereas the others are kinda unpredictable.

Guess what?? I went to Qinobe's blog and left them a msg (that was b4 monday's result show).. and samuel replied and thanked me for the post.. :cry: so touched.. esp after I know that they were booted out.. I felt kinda sad for them...

OMG!! QI:NOBE was booted out last monday,it was so sad they sing not bad for the past few Qualify rounds and now they were gone. I don't think it's fair as the Man Tou get the lowest marks and didn't get booted out. It's just so sad. I hope there will be a revival round as i still want to see QI:NOBE or JUZ B in the finals. MI LU PING AND LUCIFY jia you!!!!!

cateyes the reason they got booted out was there's something wrong with their drum set audio and they didn't sing the song good and they didn't practice the song seriously.For more information check out their blog at superband website.

I cant believe it that Qi:nobe is out. How can that be possible. Maybe they want to make the revival round more exciting and to earn more bucks since the fans are all going to vote like crazy.

hmm. must be mdc trying to earn more money... This is the first time that there are two revival rounds in a competition.
Anyway, this may be good too as those stronger groups booted out earlier because of the lack of votes will get a chance to perform again.

Yap, I'm surprised that there are so many revival rounds as well, I hope Jus-B can be back with more songs, I think Qinobe has reached a stage in which they need to have changes in order to continue the competition, its range of songs are starting to get a little bored...

Now that Qinobe is out, I dun really look forward to watch Superband as much as i did in the past...

Now I'm waiting for the second revivals that is on the 1st July (that's what i saw on the superband blog).. guess that the show will be on the next monday (3rd July).. Guys, pls correct me if i'm wrong.. i have no mood to write anything now.. :cry:

What's happing with MI LU PING?? I hope that they won't get booted out tonight.I think i might not be able to watch tonight show.. If MLB got booted out i will watch as Lucify and Soul still in the show.
