well, as the title goes really. and just to clarify, i mean groups as in the little part that appears on your mini profile bit on the side (i'm sorry, i don't know what to call it) when you make a post, like 'Group: Registered Users/JCNET Regular/Super Moderators'...
i did a search on it and looked around this forum, and couldn't find anything on it.. so i do apologise if the answer to my question has been answered somewhere.

register - open forums but no regular area or multimedia to access

register + - open forums AND multimedia ONLY

regular - open forums AND regular area for downloads AND mutlimedia

super mod - they're simply moderators who keep the board neat and tidy and have the authority to close, edit, make changes in threads and stuff

afterall, its some kind of a identity. It allows you to enter some protected sub-forums that allow downloads and authority in the forums(mods)

and boy! two thumbs up for searching first. :P i adore newbies who does it. haha!

Almost, you forgot the most obvious place to look: The FAQ (http://www.jay-chou.net/forums/faq.php?faq=jcnet_faq_item#faq_jcnet_faq_item13). Good effort though.
