View Full Version : Which Jay song do u think is the most successful one?
hamtaro

The successful here i mean the song which is able to convey the message and feelings it wanted to.. i only list down a few from different albums.....
--edit--
not a few i think, it's almost all the songs .. i cramp many of the songs together as one option as i think they are somewhat similar and thus allowing more songs to be put..
--edit 2nd time--
1)actually the successful here can be that the song sucessfully the message the composer wanted to convey.. like a song like Ye Ye Pao De Cha is meant to be happy and it managed to give us a cheerful feeling as if we are running freely etc...then songs like sad song which is meant to be sad, managed to give us the feeling as if we are alone..
2)another type of successful can mean that the song is still as popular and still as nice as the time when u first hear the song.. like An Jing when it's released for 4 or 5 years, it's still as popular and many people still love this song...

hei se you mo for me!
if im not wrong, it's because of this song in his debut album that made him so famous. and i'll never get sick of listening to that song..
therefore, i think that's the most successful song.

i think all of jay's songs r unique n that's what makes his songs successful.they r unique!
u dont hear some song havin the same kind of 'feel' as any jay song ,do u..
jay always adds his own touch to every song he makes,n all e songs r successful.
but i chose yuan you hui etc cuz i really luv yuan you hui..e feeling it gives me..is indescribable.

For me, my definition of a successful Jay song is when you hear that song anywhere, you are able to say, 'hey! that's a Jay Chou', even if you're not a Jay Chou fan. For people who aren't Jay's fans, you probably wouldn't hear them saying that if they were to hear songs like 'hei se mao yi' or 'feng' (even though i love these 2 tracks :wink2: )
Taking into account all his previous albums, i think the more sucessful songs written by him would be 'Yi Fu Zhi Ming/Zhi Zhan Zhi Shang or even Ba wo Hui Lai Le'. These are the songs that alot of taiwan hosts like to talk about or even make fun of during their shows. :bleh:

Prob go with piao yi, cuz no matter how many times i hear it, i dont catch all the lyrics. With that, i'll listen to it more and..... stuff

well, i had trouble choosing between a few songs...i mean, he's so damn popular and all his songs are so damn good! So after a LONG time of deciding, i narrowed it down to Dong feng po/fa ru xue and Long juan feng, i chose these because both these songs made him really popular and made his music be recognise, in the end, i chose dong feng po/fa ru xue because personally, i really love the song fa ru xue, dong feng po is okay for me but fa ru xue really turns me on. long juan feng has to be one of my favs too! i can stilll listen to it with out gettin sick of it! its still on my mp3! lol. I actually don't think there's any jay song i don't like...so yea, dong feng po/fa ru xue was my vote!

There was so many choices! I like different Jay songs, i love it when Jay sings ballads and i love his rapping too, it's so difficult to choose. And then there's catchy songs like Jian Dan Ai, i went for the song which the MV got me into Jay which is "Ge Qian" I never get sick of this song.

Ba Wo Hui Lai Le. Because that song reached many people whether they understood it or not, the feeling of the song was displayed through the composition. I mean, that song was everywhere...and many people know it as Jay's song - even those who don't really listen to Jay.

wow... tough choice....
i chose "an jing" coz its the more recognised song by non-jay-fan....
the sad melody would also touch ur heart n never able to get sick of it regardless of the number of times u have listened to it.

Long Juan Feng!
It was on his first album and it was such a HUGE HIT. I believe this is his most successful song, and it also made Jay successful in many ways.
it's truly an original song. the title was bizarre to people, but it turned out to be one of the best songs on that album.

woah woah! i picked 'an jing'. i think the composition of it is beautiful. the lyrics are meaningful and he sings it with so much emotion. it's by far the best of his songs. jay chou is brilliant with ballads and slow songs. i think it's his strongest quality as a composer and artist. until i heard jay chou's slower songs, i didn't like slow songs at all. of course all his other songs rock too. his the best ><!!

I like hei se you mo. It is the 1st Jay song that I'd listened to before I became a Jay fan. Full marks for the song. I still listen to it occasionally as it reminds me of Jay's older songs.

IMHO, Qi Li Xiang is his best work to date. Of course, the rest of his songs are still fantastic.
Whenever I am listening to Qi Li Xiang, words cannot describe how I feel. I would say the music composition is perfect, especially the musical arrangement. The notes were placed beautifully. I am still listening to it regularly since its first release in the the world. How time flies. hehe.

mang..its impossible for me to just pick a couple...i think many of his songs stand out..butt i chose long juan feng because that was the first song i fell in love with and boosted my liking for jay...as for the message getting through..i should have picked An Jing
Jay_cool
12-12-2005, 11:22 AM
i chose an jing...i think the lyrics are simple and meaningful. The tune is also very very nice... Most importantly, when people go ktv, until now, will still pick an jing to sing despite singing it for so many many times since the day the song came out. :)
Therefore, i think the song is most successful.

Whoa! There are too many choices to choose from.
Well I voted for the 12th option which is
Yi Fu Zhi Ming / Ye Qu / Zhi Zhan Zhi Shang
Come to think of it. Jay is not that popular here in the Philippines
but due to the massive success of his fourth album Ye Hui Mei,
Yi Fu Zhi Ming became the very first Jay song I've ever heard...and loved. :shiny:
It was a little wonder that his recent songs are not even played here though. :shy:

I chose "An Jing". Its such a pretty song and you can hear the emotion in Jay's voice. I remember it was one of the first songs I've ever heard of Jay's and is probably my number one favorite Jay song of all (though I have many favorites)! I consider it probably the most successful Jay song because people on forums always seem to mention how much they love An Jing a lot and how they wished he sang it at a certain concert. Also, whenever I talk to a lot of other ABCs at my school that have just started listening to Jay, almost all of them always mention "An Jing" as the first song they ever heard by Jay and their favorite one. I agree with others that have posted that An Jing is a very memorable song that you can listen to over and over again without getting sick of it.

Hahaha actually to me, almost all the songs listed in the poll are rather successful but anyhow, I chose Xing Qing/Qing Tian in the end. Well, I thought so because Qing Tian made me love YHM sooo much, and Xing Qing has got that very cute and lovely beat, and it's really easy for people to sing along!

i vote for kai bu liao kou and long juan feng....only cos i love them the most....but seriously, i'm sure there are stats on these kinda of things...
like which jay song has been played the most on radio? or like which song is most popularly requested?
or like i dunno...which single is mostly sold?! if they do sell singles in taiwan/china/hong kong...dunno...lol i never asked, always brought albums when i was over.....
but yeah.....

to be honest, there's too many chart toppers, all too famous. which jay song isnt good lol? i luv them all. but it really depends on what style suits u the most. like heartbroken individuals might pick an jing or gway ji. rap lovers might choose ninja or nun chaku. i think jay's strongpoint is that he has a song, literally, for everyone.

Hei Se You Mo/Shi Jie Mo Ri is definitely my choice. They are touching. and convey sadness really well.
But if you're measuring success in terms of how popular, definitely an jing which is such a recycled song everyone sings in competitions.

i think most of them r very successful...but ive chosed Kai Bu Lao Ko, cuz i just loveeeeeeeeee the beginning of the song...n i think its the FIRST song EVER that ive heard from Jay...although...i didnt even know that it was sang by him...i didnt even know he existed...n i just went "Looking for Zhou Jie Lun" for that ONE song..so yea..it just gives me the most successful feelin especially finally finding it right now.. =]
