Winter Games Introduction
It’s the winter holidays, and it is time for games. This season, we have a whole series of games lined up for you. We hope all of you will participate actively, have fun, make friends, and learn something useful. Expect some photoshopping, treasure hunting, information gathering brain wrecking but most of all, expect loads of laughter and giggles.

The games are open to all registered members of JCnet.

Games Schedule
There will be a total of 5 major games conducted during the following dates:
10th –15th Game I / Game II

15th-20th - Game III / Game IV

20th-25th – Game V

In between them, there will be some mini-games conducted. Mini-games are intended to be short, and they will catch you unaware. You can consider them as small games to earn some bonus points in between big events.

Details of each game will be given when the time comes.

FAQ

1) What is the aim of the games?
Well, the aims having the forum games are:
- For everyone to have fun
- Build friendships among members
- Learn something new through the games

2) Do I have to take part in all the different Games?
No. You can take part in some or all of the mini games/major games. However, if you want to be crowned the best top player of JCnet, you'll probably have to participate in as many games as time/talent permits.

3) Can I get someone else to help?
The official answer is N-O, no. YOU are the one who is supposed to play, not your brother/boyfriend/cousin etc. If you have problems with the games, such as you don't know how to use a certain software, you can of course ask someone to guide you. BUT the end product must be something you have created with your own abilities. We want you to learn.

4) How will you know if I cheated?
Technically, we don't have any means. BUT if you are on our forums long enough, it is likely a mod/VIP knows you and what you are capable off. If you have no clue what PS is and the next moment you submit a project that is professional looking, we'll have reasons to doubt.

5) Why are the games difficult?
They are only as difficult as you think it is.

6) Where can I ask questions about the games?
If it is a general question, ask in this thread, if it is specific to a particular game, ask in the game thread in concern.

F.Y.I.

We are an English based forum, please make all submissions in ENGLISH. Not french, not chinese, not korean...

You always submit entries as an individual, never "on behalf" of a group. We will accept 1 entry per member. If you happen to belong to a group, your group will be rewarded points because the very same submission. It's a separate scoring altogether. You can think of it as a bonus points. There is no such thing as 1 submission for group and another for individual. If you don't have a group, then the group points will just go to no one.

Are we allowed to submit multiple personal entries?

Are groups allowed to submit multiple entries?

If I submit a personal entry and then I get adopted will my personal entry become a group entry?

Can one have personal entries AND be part of a group? (this last one seems like a bad idea because people might save their best work for

Okay, I thought I've clarified about the multiple entries before. I guess you guys still don't catch it. For games I and II, submit only 1 entry per person.

E.g. if group A has 8 members, each member submits 1 entry, group earns group bonus of 8x(participation points for group member). Each member still earns whatever there is to earn as an individual.

Are we allowed to use Chinese in our entries?
I thought that since we are an English forum, it is obvious that our games are "english based". I didn't imagine I have to spell it out. But since it is an issue to some of you, I'll put it up there BIG and CLEAR.

Oh, I guess I should have been more clear, but I meant it as as long as we have the English translation on there, can we use Chinese?

Not for the fruity reporter game. If you want to use it in the Movie poster, I don't really have a rule to stop you. You can always claim it to be part of your design.
