i saw a topic with "If you had one meal with jay?" about breakfast/lunch/dinner. but i thought this would be a little different. whether you have superb culinary skills or possess cooking deficits... :bleh: just wanted to hear your ideas. btw, no order-in or pick-up like pizza or KFC or whatever. =P hey, we can even share recipes! :)

for me, i'll probably cook some stirfry chicken with mushrooms and onions. add in a bit of black pepper. just a simple chinese-style homemade dish. as for dessert, i'd make a green tea mousse cake.

Well I'll fry some fired chickens for him since he loves KFC. And make him some owatermelon juice.

But then I don't know how to cook. Maybe noodles will work or pasta. Or maybe home made burgers.
I know I sound stupid, but I don't know how to cook.

dessert: chocolate mousse puff with extra choc sauce on top

I'd hop out the window and run to KFC, buy a bunch of stuff and put it on my plate and say that I just made it! :D

P.S. Your kitchen needs a lock or some sort so he can't see inside! :D

Since I..
1). Can't cook
2). Don't want to be sued for accidentally poisoning Jay
3). Don't WANT to poison Jay with my cooking

I will...
1). Order from a nice restrurant
2). Pour good food onto plate
3). Smile and said I cooked it

Then Jay will...
1). Fall in love with my fab cooking
2). Fall in love with me because of my fab cooking
3). Want more of my fab cooking.. (uh oh)

I will go all the way to a stall in singapore (somewhere in tiong Bahru) and ask for the recipe and cook the prawn paste chicken for him because he once went there to have his dinner and when he ate the chicken, he juz can't resist it and continued until one of the assistant ask him to stop as eating the chicken might make is voice dry...

My prize-winning chicken enchiladas, served with refried beans and spanish rice and Papbst Blue Ribbon Beer. For desert, vanilla ice cream.

I doubt he's ever had a meal like that before. Might as well make it "ethnic" for him. It'd be quite the experience.

I think I'll cheat on this. I know I'm not supposed to do this, but it's better than poisoning him! I'll get a nice carryout dinner from a really good Chinese restaurant and then tell him I cooked it! At least when we're eating dinner I'll still look presentable, not with grease all over myself!

I can cook up about anything. But does he like to eat fancy food or which is spicy?

i'm still undecided whether i would serve him a western meal course or eastern dishes. but definitely for dessert it'll be either banana splits with chocolate sauce or my popular carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.

ummm can Jay eat spicy stuff?.. :?
ok i will cook him Spaghetti...yeah yeah same as others eh?..well its the only thing i can do...lol...but i think the sauce would be a bit different...i'll use seafood...and mix the vegies (tomato, green pepper, pineapple, potato)...put some chilli sauce in and of course tomato sauce...and then voila...oh and dont forget lots of cheese... :excited:
I'll serve it with Strawberries snow blend as a drink(fresh straberries or strawberry jam, syrup, cubed ice, milk..and blend it all together) and then coffee mousse(2banana, 2tbs of coffee, cubed ice, sugar, and 1 cup of milk...blend until it smoothes...keep in fridge for one or two hours) as desert...ummm yummy...hehe those are all my own recipes.....hehehe but it taste good though...:bleh:

Well, i was about to say spagatti...but everyone wants to cook that for him! he'll probably get sick of it all by the time he eats my plate...

So, i'd cook him some "high-class" maggi mee, with crayfish and abalone. Fast to cook..good to eat lehh...

:? Hmmm...so what would it be then? Well, since I'm a Filipina cooking foods is our specialty...let's say I'll be cooking a serving of Chicken Adobo for him (Yum!!!) and maybe a Fresh Lumpia (In the Philippines, it's known as "Lumpiang Sariwa"...and for drinks maybe I'll make gulaman for him...*sigh* I'm getting hungrier now.... :glug:

11-17-2003, 05:11 AM
Hmm thought up of a few dishes that i think jay would like..pretending that i can cook of course (which i obviously can't)

Black pepper crabs would be tasty..followed by nasi lemak (which is coconut rice for people who don't know what it is)..hainanese chicken rice..mushroom soup..chicken chops and with cheesecake or ice cream for dessert. he would be sure to like the combination since these are my favourite foods that i enjoy eating.

Oh yep..curry fish head would be nice too..though its a bit tough to learn how to actually cook it without the fish tasting burnt.

The last time I tried frying eggs, I burnt them.

So, Jay'd be getting some nice noodles from me.Lol.

Hmm, seriously. Something filipino, so he'll know how lovely foods are here in the Philippines.

well, since i can't cook, mayb give him 2 minute noodles. if i can be bothered, probably ask mum how to make sushi the night before and then make him some *hope it tastes just as good* and maybe oven-cook some chips, potato wedges, shepard's pie..um think that's enough for one meal lolz, and guess its a good mixture of both asian and european food.

I am not so good in cooking but I will cook him a chicken porridge because it doesn't need much ingredient and it's healthier then other dishes. If he think it is too dull, I will fried him some fried chicken to go with the porridge.

i'd probably ask him first on what he'd want to eat and then "attempt" to cook it. ( i can't cook well, so yeah) if it burns then i wouldn't want him to eat it, i mean, it would have all this black burnt stuff all over the place!

hmm....i can't cook :sadangel: ! so would toast be okay? hehe, i mean i search the best bread and put it in the toaster!hehe  J/K i can cook if i can try, cuz i'm lazy :retard: . anyway my specialty is a breakfeast meal, which would be two eggs omlet toast sandwich which the eggs a bit :curious: yoky, ham and ketchup. then the other half sandwich is pb and j.hehe :wink2:

cheese omelette! cos they're really nice and easy 2 make....just throw in 2 eggs and put a slice of cheese on top (in the frying pan, tt is) and voila :D but cannot put too much oil, or they would jump up and out of the pan once heated and scald you....and anyway i think jay's too skinny, and cheese omelettes are all you need 4 fattening up  !

Dont really know how to cook. Til now, I think what I cook is only edible to myself so I dont think I have the confidence to let Jay try my cooking which might results in our beloved gets food poisoning. So I'll just order from some nice Chinese restaurants but I'll arrange the food and the table nicely and create a romantic ambience. If it's not raining and not too cold, maybe we could go to the rooftop of my apartment and have dinner under the stars. So romantic!

My cooking skills are very bad. Last time I tried to cook a meal, there was a chicken flying around the chicken (don't ask). I could make a dessert for Jay, though. I'd make cherry tarts for him. If it comes to actual food, I'd just take him out to Genaro's (Peruvian) or La Unica (Mexican), since those are my favorite restaurants. I actually don't eat a lot of Chinese food, since I don't like stir-fry. There's something about having my food mixed together like that that makes me nauseous.
