well this is SM's new boy band. they're made up of 12 guys (gah! I now 12 guys! hehe)
one of them is a chinese member that SM scouted/looked for in China...he auditioned and was chosen.
I don't really know the story because I just knew about them recently...

12 guys isn't bad... except when I watch their perfs, it's like having an entourage of dancers while each of them jump out to sing their parts when it's their turn!

but I think it's only in the "twins(knock out)" MV and when he is preforming that song...because someone told me that the song is like an angry type of song...soo he's just trying to show that emotion...

I'd heard of them for a little while, but hadn't actually heard their songs or anything. I saw them perform on Music Tank the other night. They were pretty cool. :wink2: At first, I was baffled as to how there could be 12 members... but it was just like a lot of back-up dancers, and I guess sometimes it gets a bit confusing who's who and who's singing at the moment. :oops: Or maybe it's just me. :rolleyes:

thanks for the info and the song. i've heard of these guys, but don't know too much about them and their music. currently, i'm enjoying Rainbow Romance, which stars ki bum and hee chul and both of them are such cuties there. :tongue: i can recognize shi won cuz he resembles kang ta. i also know dong hae from last week and this week's Love Letter. the rest of the members are all a blur. i don't think i'm gonna try to remember these names. learning about DBSK and SS501 and a little bit about Paran have been a mouthful already. :laughing: trust SM Town to come out with a 12-guy band. :rolleyes:

At first I thought Super Junior were kinda scary, I mean c'mon 12 member boyband? But then I saw their performance of Twins (Knockout) on Inki Gayo and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed. They were sooooo well organised on stage!! Trying to keep 12 guys on stage and not a single one falling off or bumping into each other? I applaude, SM for training them so well :D I'm still trying to learn all their name and they're such a bunch of beautiful boys <3

I heard some of the boys did acting as well. As wackycashew said Ki Bum and Hee Chul were in Rainbow Romance and I read somewhere that Hee Chul was also in Loveholic (drama with Kangta), but does anyone know what other acting these guys are part of?

oh, I read somewhere that... Han Kyung- the chinese member... under went or took korean lessons for 2 years or 2 months(I don't really remember) after he was chosen by SM. soo that is why he's good in korean (I've never heard him talk in korean thou...just heard him sing)

I don't really like Leehom for his looks (I mean they arn't bad and it's a plus) but trust me as much as I gush about him he still isn't the best looking pea in the pod. It's his talent that gets to me.

Now Han Kyung, I don't know about his talent. Haha and I may sound extremely shallow but I like him just because he's hot. Kibum and that one other guy who kind of looks like ki bum are also really cute.

oh, i saw that eppy of Rainbow Romance and it was indeed very funny. i've grown to quite like ki bum and hee chul from watching RR. they're so cute and hilarious and funny in a weird yet cute way. :laughing:

The first time I come across this band's name is when one of them became Inkigayo's replacement MC after Andy was hospitalised recently. Was it Hee Chul???

I was thinking, hmmm... where did he go when HyoJu announced SuperJunior's perf. I was so surprised when I saw the guest MC perf and shocked when I found out later all of them on that stage are band members XD

Dang, it must have taken them hours to coordinate the dancing spots and variations. It takes me almost 1 mth to tell who's who in shinhwa, now I have 12?? I just stick to Hee Chul for now.

BTW, is Rainbow Romance any good? Seems like New Nonstop is pulling out all the entertainment newbies into this season sitcom.

And why is it when a new boyband made it's debut they always go for the visual rock look before they go for the normal look?? Remember Shinhwa and DBSK??? Is it some sort of induction thingy or what?? :wacko:

chineseguyjl, SJ is the latest Korean boyband. They're under SM Entertainment (ironic that Shinhwa debuted under them too), and they are 12 of them. As for their music genre, I would say pop rock??? A wilder version of DBSG perhaps????

It's hard to say who the ultimate faves are, but so far i like Eun Hyuk(Hyuk Jae), Heechul, Kibum, Donghae and of course Shiwonnie <333

I saw the Show Me Your Love MV earlier today and it is so adorable :D I found Hee Chul scary from the Twins and from their perfs of Twins, but in this video he looks so cute with his secretary glasses. not sure if anyone else is watching Rainbow Romance, but ep. 55 yesterday was quite heartwrenching in the end. ki bum left for the states and eun bi saw him off at the airport. that's the sitcom. but in real life, he's apparently visiting his family in LA for a bit. :happy: hope he can get some good rest. :-)

I only learnt about the whole aim of Super Junior because of the Adieu performance a few days ago.

So you know how Super Junior is Super Junior 2005 right? That meant that they weren't supposed to debut as singers, but only because SM wanted to kick them out there into the entertainment circle and for their careers to spark off from there. And apparently SM will bring out Super Junior 2006 at the same time this year as SuJu 2005 last year.

Yup. They are not breaking up anytime soon. The are recording new songs, including some Chinese songs too. They are learning Chinese from Hankyung.

Hankyung is in China now. I just watched Super Junior Show, the 22nd episode, and I saw him cry...man this boy is so emotional. I really pity him though. He has been living away from his parents for so long.

Lily - YES OMG! I was just coming in here to state my undying love for Full House. That show is so awesome. Truth be told, I think the show really highlights how cute and dorky they all are.

After watching the 3rd episode, I must admit, I adore HanKyung so much. He's sooo sweet, and when he was being angry when Anya was beating him and pouted, it was so cute. XD He's kind of shy, but it's nice seeing how thoughtful and kind he is.

I believe that incident was actually awhile ago. There's a picture floating around of Yehsung crying and Shiwon comforting him. That picture was taken after Yehsung was hit in the fact by a shoe. I never actually learned what the circumstances were, but obviously it wasn't pretty. o.O

It's this show where celebrities who have their driver's license can improve their driving by doing these challenges. Another celebrity serves as the teacher and sits in the passenger seat as a guide while they're doing the challenges. Eeteuk's teacher is Hyerun (I think that her name?), the shorter more manly one from Heroine 6.

Eeteuk's part in the first show was really cute! He seemed to be very excited even though his teacher would randomly yell "NO NO NO NO!" to him. In the beginning, I think her song was playing and they were both dancing to it in the car haha. And then, during the end, he had to pull himself out of the car through the window because he had parked too close to the wall. XDDDDDD

Weh, and I was just watching the episodes of Kangin on Happy Shares Company and I felt so bad for him. The man honestly eats like a monster and to be reduced to eating so little on account of his budget, it was sad. I felt bad for him every time I saw him eye all the other SuJu members with their food. ^^;;;

Oh gosh! I got really excited when I came across this thread! Super Junior has been a new growing obsession now! Wow! 12 pages already! I don't know how to read all of your posts...but going through most of the posts they were kinda about their shows and ...

I LOVED SUPER JUNIOR FULL HOUSE! hahaha, I'm going to turn into a little madfangirl now...but they are absolutely adorable. My favorite SUJU is HeeChul just because he's soooo eccentric! <33 He's girly, funny, mean, and crazy all at the same time hahaha I would soo go for a guy like him around here...but too bad no one can compare to HeeChul around my area...

I've started to watch Mystery 6, and it's getting freaky when DongHae faints and the shaminist comes to tells them that something bad will happen if they don't do anything to ease the ghost's pain....I'm falling for it! But the last three episodes out of the 6...isn't subbed so I might have to pretend I understand and see what happens visually.

hankyung is also my favorite suju, not only because he's chinese haha but because I'm very much addicted to his laugh. isn't that weird? but he has such an attractive laugh! and he's so silly like heechul =D

Suju...well, i hate to admit that i don't really like them when i first saw them. i don't know..a band with 13 hot guys just seems a little weird for me. but when i start to listen to more of their music & watch more of thier MVs...i'm just kinda falling for them. all of them are so cute!!!

HeeChul needs to get rid of the hair extensions. I feel like in every pic or mv, he has them. I guess the feminine look is appealing to some.

I think 12 members are way too many. Unless you're a hard-core fan, it's hard to remember who's who. Only a few stand out and the rest are like backup dancers.

Their music is ok to listen to, although there's not much original stuff.

i'm just finish watching suju full house( i know it's a little late)...but still, this is one of the funniest shows i have ever seen. i mean...they were so crazy, funny and cute at the same time. esp. to Heechul...he's so weird...but in the good way. :shifty:

my fav suju after watching this show is hyukjae (eunhyuk).:rolleyes: i can easily laugh just by looking at his face. he's so adorable....esp. when he said his fav english line..."nice weather!!"...i laugh so hard everytime i heard him saying it.:D

and i never knew that kibum is so good at english. (compares to others members) he's quite good and he also seems to be the only one that really can comminucate though.

btw, shinetastic...i love hankyung's laugh too. he's really cute.

Hangeng can't perform at MNET due to restrictions with his work visa. But seeing as Heenim's finally able to dance U again, there's nothing stopping all 13 doing U at the Hollywood Bowl in May. I just saw this piece of shocking news!

SUJU's T - Kyuhyun, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong, and two managers met a car accident. Kynhyun is most badly hurt.

Dynamic of the car accident

On April 19, a little after midnight, Kyuhyun, Leeteuk, Eunhyuk, Shindong, and two managers were on their way back to their apartment after a session of KBS Super Junior Kiss The Radio. While they were on the highway, the front left tire busted as the driver was switching lanes and the van ran into the guard rail/medium on the driver's side and skidded for about 30M+. At some point, the momentum caused the van to flip over on its right side.

Kyuhyun was sitting behind the driver's seat, therefore he was the most injured out of all the members. So far, he has a broken foot, fractured hip, broken ribs, and facial scratches/bruises. The fractured hip is bleeding and his broken ribs have come down on his lungs. He has already gone through tracheal resectional surgery to improve his breathing. They made a 1-2cm incision in his chest and inserted a tube so he can breathe better. He was slipping in an out of consciousness, and couldn't really speak because of the shock. Doctors are speculating that he might have to be in the hospital for a few months.

Shindong was the least injured out of the members, and has managed to leave the accident with just cuts and bruises on his face and body. He has been released from the hospital as a patient. There is no word whether or not he has returned to the apartment yet.

Leeteuk had glass shards in his back, and has had a successful surgery to remove them all. He also had a scratch near his eye and various cuts and bruises.

Eunhyuk was also reported to have glass shards in his back, and was said to have stitches.

So far, Kyuhyun is resting because his chest isn't healthy enough to go through surgery. He was transferred from the ER to the ICU. For now he has been given medication so he can rest for surgery.

Regarding schedules, all activities involving these four members have been cancelled. More specifically, MBC Popopo, on which Shindong is an MC, has been cancelled for now. Super Junior T was scheduled to perform on KBS2 Music Bank, but that was cancelled. Kyuhyun was planned to appear in a show filming, but because of his injuries, the network is having a meeting regarding that. Since both DJs for KBS Super Junior Kiss The Radio are injured, they have recruited other Super Junior members to take over temporarily. On the 19th, Ryeowook and Sungmin will DJ. Any date later than that is to be determined after Leeteuk and Eunhyuk's full diagnoses are released. Most likely, other members will be asked to rotate in as DJs.


SM released an official statement saying that the hospital needs to observe Kyuhyun for 3-5 days before releasing a confirmed statement about his health. They also said that Leeteuk has scratches on his forehead and near his eye from the glass. The accident was caused by a deflated left front tire. The driver was trying to switch lanes but lost control and collided with the guard rail.

At the time of the accident, from witness that saw it, the car suddenly began moving about dangerously, crashed into a gurad rail and overturned.

This witness said, "On midnight of the 18th while driving by chance I shared the road with a large van. At the intersection where the road separates going to Yuh Ee Do and Ban Po, the van suddenly started weaving dangerously. And then soon after it crashed into a guard rail."

"It surprised me so I stopped my car and ran towards the van. I was shocked when I saw ShiN Dong and the other members. Minus Shin Dong all the other members had collapsed. It also seemed the managers were also very much injured. One of them especially seemed like he was not in a good state seeing he had passed out. I found out later on that that was Super Junior member, Kyu Hyun."

The witness adds on, "Sooner after the police and ambulance arrived, and took care of those that were injured. It was so sudden I sdfsdf"

Super Junior's Kyu Hyun, Lee Teuk, Eun Hyuk, Shin Dong, these 4 members were involved in a car accident due to a tire popping.

They were on their way home after the live show "Super Junior's Kiss The Radio" on KBS Radio Cool FM.

Kyu Hyun who is known to be in the worst condition, is currently being attended to at Seoul Kang Nam ** Hospital. It is known that the injury on his chest is severe. The other members, Eun Hyuk, Shin Dong, and Lee Teuk were being treated for minor injuries at Sam Sung Clinic.

For now Kyu Hyun the member that was in the worst condition in the large scale accident of Super Junior, has finally overcome the most crucial and dangerous moments.

A SM Spokesperson stated to the reporters on the 19th, "As of now Kyu Hyun has been moved from the emergency room to the ICU. Although he has overcome the most cucial moments, we must still watch how he is doing for the next 2-3 days. The other members should be alright in about 2-3 weeks. There's no need to worry too much."

Some updates.. the most recent news seem to suggest that Super Junior have currently suspended their activities for the time being.

Hangeng and Shiwon returned from China early after apologising to staff and fans for cancelling filming for two shows. Epik High's Tablo is staying on an extra week DJing for ChinChin (the radio show Kangin was supposed to take over). Variety shows, Goldenbell etc, that the boys were supposed to film next week are going to find replacements. And ChaeYeon is going to fill in for Heenim on InkiGayo later today.


I'm thankful the boys have been given the opportunity to just rest and spend time with each other right now. Donghee and Hyukjae should be home soon, and last we heard, Jungsu is recovering well and should be out soon too.

But we can't pretend that Kyu isn't badly hurt. It's still a few days before an official report about Kyu's health. So until then, however hard it is, we have to be patient and keep them all in our prayers. <3

Super Junior Invited to Taiwanese Awards

The boy band Super Junior has been invited as a special guest to the Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan.

The award ceremony, in its 18th year, will be held in Taipei on Saturday and is one of the most prestigious music awards in the Chinese-speaking community. Super Junior is the sole Korean guest, and it will be the group's first visit to Taiwan.

Super Junior's management agency says the invitation reflects SJ's explosive popularity in Asia, including China and Thailand. SJ will take the stage as an award presenter and also perform its songs 'Miracle' and 'U'.

A Taiwanese cable channel will air the event live in China, Malaysia, Singapore, New Zealand, Australia, the Philippines and all over Asia.

Also, to mark the boy band's first visit to Taiwan, a special edition of the group's first single 'U' will be released there on Friday. The album includes a handwritten message written by group members to Taiwanese fans as well as autographs.

Super Junior Hits Big Screen

Super Junior, one of the most popular boy bands in K-pop, is making their big screen debut with the film ``Attack on the Pin-up Boys'' this month.

At first glance, the film may seem like another ``idol movie" meant to show off the charms of Super Junior's good-looking members, rather than their acting ability.

However, Park Jung-su, the group's leader who is also known as Lee Teuk, said he hopes people would not judge the film as just an ``idol movie." ``Since we debuted (as a group), we announced we will work not just as singers, but also as MCs and actors. I hope people will get rid of their prejudices a little, and watch us as new actors, not as singers," he said, during the film's press conference at Imperial Palace Hotel in Apgujeong, Thursday.

Since Super Junior is one of most popular groups today, there are a lot of high expectations for the film. The film, with a budget of 850 million won, is the first to be produced by S.M. Entertainment's subsidiary S.M. Pictures.

S.M. Entertainment head Lee Soo-man said the planning for the film took almost three years. ``After hearing that Super Junior is starring, a lot of people seem to think that this is an idol movie but this a summer movie for kids. But elementary school students will be able to see some of the middle and high school students' thoughts and for those whose schooldays are past, they will be able to relive it. Despite the title, this is a heartwarming movie," he said.

Twelve out of the 13 Super Junior members were cast in the movie, except for Cho Kyu-hyun who is still recuperating from a car accident last April.

Lee Kwon, who directed the film, admitted he was initially worried about working with idol stars. ``I felt like a soccer coach as I tried to memorize all of the members' names. At first, I had a lot of worries but it turned out to be like working with my next-door neighbors and a fun experience filming," he said.

Inevitably, the film draws comparisons to past Korean idol films starring H.O.T. and Sechs Kies. Despite their popularity in the late 1990's, H.O.T.'s ``Age of Peace" and Sechs Kies' ``Seventeen" failed at the box office.

``If the standard idol movies are seen with the view of an adult, this movie is focused on showing their sensibilities as it is. The members are not acting as other characters but bringing out their natural personalities," director Lee said.

Described as a high school comedy-mystery, the film is about three good-looking high school boys played by Choi Si-won, Kim Hee-chul and Kim Young-woon (also known as Kang In), who become the target of attacks.

Kim Ki-beom plays the narrator who sees a pattern of attacks against pretty boys, while Lee Dong-hae helps him investigate. The rest of the Super Junior members play supporting roles.

Some Super Junior members have had acting experience, such as Choi Si-won who appeared in the film ``Battle of Wits;" Kim Ki-beom who starred in the TV drama ``Snow Flower," and Kim Hee-chul who appeared in ``Bad Family."

Attack on the Pin-up Boys will be shown in theaters on July 26.

Hangeng is 101% Chinese from what I know. He is of Nanai ethnicity, he also did mentioned that bit on a China TV programme :D

Hangeng is definitely 100% Chinese ^^ That's why he's in Korea on a work visa that restricts him from appearing on channels other than SBS and KBS.

yes! don't you just LOVE the Don't Don choreography?!!! it's so beautiful to watch! I think so far, my favorite DD perf is the one they did at the SBS Korea Sparkling show. They sang live of course, and the camera work was so effective in showing off the boys' energy and the brilliance of the choreography. ^^ get it if you haven't watched it!

we're ELF.. The show made some of the anti-fans stop hating SUJU guys for once. Lee Teuk on the show told the audience that, he wish sujus’s antis could also support this show. He said he often goes to an anti’s website to read their comments! He said he saw a person left a comment stating that even though she doesn’t like suju, but through “The Explorer of the Human Body” she found out that suju love each other like their own family members this caused her now changed his opinion about suju.

Have you heard about Suju-H (h is for Happiness?) It consists of Sungmin, KangIn, Eunhyuk, Eeteuk, Shindong, and Yehsung. They should release a mini album within a week or so and a music video.

Also Super Junior released a new mv filled with clips from their concert. It's adorable because you see Heechul cosplaying Jack Sparrow, Sungmin as a Peter Pan character, Shindong was a caveman I think, Shiwon was a prince with a sword, and Ryeowook was Harry Potter. XD It was just too adorable. Check it out! Type in KRY and Eunhyuk coz they're the oens singing the song I think but all of Suju is shown in the mv. ^^ I forgot the title- sorry

Heechul just had a successful third surgery on his leg since his car accident. He is said to be conscious now, and he will need further treatment later this summer.

anyway, i got the Yamaha Fino CF that the boys 11 of them (exclude kibum yesung) came to shoot in Thailand last month. During a performance with Suju-H, Yesung fell off the stage and hurt his back. Poor guy. :cry: That was in August, I think.

Actually, about someone falling down accident...there were 2 of them though...first, it was eunhyuk during the time that he was still MC-ing for the mnet m countdown...it was quite a serious injury coz he had a cast on his hand for quite a while.

and then followed by yesung a couple months later during one of the supy's performace...he fell out of the stage...but luckily, it wasn't a serious accident.

and yeah, kibum is very good in english coz he was discovered by Sm when he was in USA. if i remember correctly, his family lives there.and during MAA he couldn't be there due to his drama...that's why siwon's incharge...and i have to say siwon's english has improved a lot but i can still feel that he was very nervous when he made that thank you speech. but still...his english was love.<3

anyway, just wanna share some information that tomorrow they boys will participated in the press conference of Yamaha Fino in BKK (@Parc paragon--Siam Paragon) I believe ten of them will be here coz kangin and heechul couldn't come due to their Xanadu(a musical play) and kibum due to his drama.
SJ-M arrived Bkk today and already checked in to the Hotel. and for the rest..they will get here tomorrow's afternoon at 1.05pm(Thailand's time) and i think the event will start in the evening. i hope it will be in the evening coz i have my final examination tomorrow's afternoon. T_TT but i'll definitely going to see them coz parc paragon was just only 10 minutes away from my university...lol

just got back from the yamaha press con and here's my story. i went to dusit thani hotel after i finished my final exam about 4 pm. hung out there for a while and then i saw all of them went out from the hotel and headed to parc paragon. there were lots of people at the hotel too and it was a little crowded but lucky for me that i still got a chance to saw almost everyone of them except for wookie and donghae...coz i was busy focusing on hyukjae and he was hot...really hot. and i have to say siwon is too gorgeous with the hair he has right now and he also wore glasses today which made him look ten times cuter than usual.

anyway at parc paragon, there were lots of people...i mean ELF are everywhere...and it was quite difficult for me to find a very good spot. and eventually, i just stood there in the back of the crowded because it didn't make any different for me coz i still can see them no matter where i stand.(thank you to my parent that gave me the 171cm heights...lol)
then, around 8.00pm they went up to the stage and the interview started. leader was very cute as usual. he always put the cute looks on his face when the camera was on him. and one time yesung who actually sat quite far from leader had to walk to the camera and block leader's face and started to did some post by himself.

hyukjae was quite quiet today. he didn't talk much like he used to. I wonder what happened to him or maybe he's just tired...all he did was just smiled a little and waved to the fans, but he still looked so cute though. sungmin talked a lot today. the best part is the part that leader took the wallet out and asked for the owner. teukie said that there was a fan who went to korea and gave them a bag of presents but teukie found out later that there was a wallet inside that bag too. it was very cute of him to actually brought it back here to Thailand and announced it on the stage. he could just give it to the staff in korea to take care about this little thing...but becoz leader is too sweet...he just wanna do this by himself and it makes me love him even more.

theskyisgreen, too bad that your parent wouldn't allow you to go overseas for super show coz' all i have to say...it was one of the best concerts that i've ever seen. i still can't get over with the concert...still feel like it was just yesterday that i went to see them perform, all of them were really good. i enjoyed every single moment at the concert...the best part was definitely, the marry u part...i also had tears in my eyes when i saw leader cried so hard...one of the best memories from the show. can't wait til next month when the dvd is coming out.><

i'll never get enough with the suju boys, no matter how many times i've seen them, watched them perform or met them in real life. coz' i just couldn't help myself everytime they came to thailand. i had to go out there and find myself a chance to see them even just for a second. but for me i was quite lucky, i got quite a lot of great experiences with the suju boys though.^^

now, i'm counting down for the sm concert in november. =)

yes, it'll be held in thailand too on November, 29th. Actually, there'll be a lot of their activities in Thailand...there'll be the Korea-Thailand freindship concert that the boys will participated in along with Bigbang, Andy, Paran and other Korean and Thai artists. this event supposed to be on 25th of september this year but due to uncertained stiuation in Thailand...they decided to postpone to the early of next year. so even after sm concert in november...i still have something to counting down for. ^^

Yea man, the DVD cost quite a bit too Lol but at least it's cheaper than the concert tickets, but still, being able to watch it live is all worth it. Hahaha. And I seldom see my country selling suju cds or whatsoever Lol. So I have to order from yesasia...

And I agree with you that suju is pretty much active in thailand activities hahaha... but still they should go more to other countries.... (perhaps they travel to those countries that have more fans) Lol...

yeah I think coz DBSK is majoring in the northern side (Japan), so Suju is majoring in southern side (China and Thailand)! haha! *laugh at my witty logic*

LOL. so that's the reason they are always at China & Thailand hahahahah. Maybe bcos 'hangeng' is from china so he would be famous there, and China is sucha huge country, they gain popularity there faster Lol.... unlike going to small country (like mine :/) hahahaha.
