So did anyone of you go for the Chill @ SP? I wanted to go since it's so near my house. But in the end i didn't, because i was too lazy. hahah.

Just caught the Pu Wei Zhi Ye show.. Wei jian was so dashing in the black coat! :happy: He sang Tian Kong with Wei Choong. His singing is still just as good. As for wei choong, i think he got some of the lyrics wrong. Not sure. Maybe i'll go watch the tape again. haha.

yesterday i went to orchard with a few of our JCNet members shopping for stuff for our coming friday BBQ..

liwei_jay, really? I also saw that guy at the SAME place but on thursday! I was one of the "victims".. he asked me if i wanted to do eyebrow shaping. But i told him "sorry, my eyebrows are already nicely shaped" :D Which is true.. haha. I didn't have much time to notice his dressing, but i recognised his face immediately. haha.
I saw Weijian in Pulau tekong twice e past week!
The 1st time was Monday n it was at e canteen during breakfast, ard 6am like that. He actually walked past me sia..I still rmb he was wearing e green uniform. But he looked very very tired, almost expressionless...when queueing up for breakfast, he was very quiet n looked extremely fatigued sia. But still i was quite surprised to c him.

The 2nd time was Fri morning at e canteen also. But he did not come so close coz i was queueing up in e canteen n i saw his company lining up across e road n waiting cos it was raining n his company cannot come into e canteen i think..

N today, my company n his company booked out at e same time in e morning...both our companies reached e jetty at e same time. But i did not c him sia..quite wasted. Too many pple liao sia.

Hmm..but what i think is that i kind of feel quite sorry for him. Coz he looked so tired in army. It must have been tough for him to still have to attend all e performances when he book out on weekend...so poor thing sia. It has been tough on him liao..but Weijian jia you!

However, I don't even bother about Project Superstar because I was kinda tired of this type of competitions like Singapore Idol.

I come here just to know something basic about Project Superstar. I only know that Chen Weilian, who is blind, got first and Kelly Poon got second. Who's Weijian, by the way? And are there anybody from Project Superstar who is going to release their first albums?

Haha...I still remember that striptease guy in Singapore Idol. He's really a joker. I don't even dare to go to his website... >___< Must avoid CK Tang if it's possible...

Spax, yep.. quite a few of the project superstars are releasing albums. Wei Lian and Kelly were the top 2, so they'd definitely be releasing albums. The other three are Jun Yang, Xin Huey and Wei Jian! Jun Yang and Xin Huey were among the top 4, while Wei jian was among the top 6.

Wei Lian would most likely be releasing his album at the end of this year. Jun Yang and Kelly probably around the 1st quarter of next year. As for Xin Huey and Wei Jian, not much info so far.

Wei Jian a.k.a Derrick Hoh is this guy. To me, he's the cutest contestant! My fave. hehe. :happy:

haha alright, i caught half of superfunkies today, and i think it's rlly going down. i am just watching it for the sake of watchg since there's no other shows! -bah it's quite boring now, hosting skills are quite lousy. no offence, but i think sugi's silly-ness and funny-ness is gone too, to me that is. i don't know how you all feel though. oh did anyone realise jy looks so haggard and tired during these few episodes ?

I feel that the whole show is kindda dull already, I find that there is no "colour" for the whole show too.

They are not professional hosts, therefore their hosting skills are not that good. Last time I wouldn't turn to other channels while watching Superfunkies, but now I keep switching to Channel 8 during Superfunkies.The variety show on Channel 8 is quite interesting (about interior designing) airing during 8-9pm.

It's a heart-warming and soothing song sung by Colin Raye. I used to hear lots of listeners dedicating this song to friends in 93.3FM's song dedication programme.

I find that there are not much improvements done in the superfunkies, even though I like the part where they sang "Love Me", its very touching and the "Shi Sang Wan Jia", its interesting to mix and match with different accessories.

I find the show by Mark Lee and Bryan Wong is a little boring at the start, I will see a bit of it, then switch to another channel, then switch back to see the result, I think its kind of unfair for Mark as Bryan is much better in interior design...

i think the reason why i am getting bored of the superstars (not only superfunkies) is because they are getting TOO MUCH exposure.

uhm what i mean is they are attending almost every event, performing for almost everything, it's getting quite boring and annoying. they can do it once in awhile, but i think it's a little too much exposure. plus i heard that they are going to perform during star awards too!?

Actually I prefer Wei Jian when he's still in the Superstar competition. He's now very dark, which makes him look skinnier and "dry". Hope he gets posted to a camp which does not need to get into the sun too often. I prefer him fairer and bubblier! :laughing:

Last time Weijian was in the "Pu Wei Zi Ye" last Saturday, his hair is much much more than when he was in superfunkies previously, so I think that great, about his complexion, I think it is normal that he will be darker than what he was before, but I'm sure that he will be back to what he was when he is out of ns.

Weijian looks like he has not gained at all ehs. Gaining 3kg should actually sort of bring him back to normal weight, but it seems that he still looks skinny.

Wei Jian wore the black hat again (I'm not sure if it's the same one as the Ocean Ou's event a few weeks back). I went to Marina Square yesterday and saw the similar hat from the shop, FourSkins.

i caught superfunkies just now. jy was so cute!! even though he was getting skinnier.. i also realized that wherever jy goes, candyce will follow and be beside him. its actually quite irritating. i think that candyce is riding on jy's popularity.. like patty riding on jay's. (no offence) if there werent the jy and candyce relationship and the 'chou-hou' relationship, i wouldnt even take a second look at candyce and patty will still be a normal host.

Today's episode was a lil funny because of quan yi feng. She bought abit of life into the show. Chanel was rather hilarious too, during the "shua da pai" part. hahah. :happy:

Read in an article here (http://ch8.mediacorptv.com/around8/events/view/724/1/.html) (the 2nd last paragraph ) that Chen Jia Xin is now signed with Hong Kong's Emperor Entertainment Group. Which means she's now colleagues with edison chen, twins.. So lucky!

I watched superfunkies yesterday, the part that I like most is the part that Jun Yang and Sugi sang the Mayday's song and the performence of the new band, I think they are really young, just like us, and they perform really well, its very sad to hear that the superfunkies are ending, we lose a chance to heard them sing, introduce new albums and movies and see the newest entertainment news...

Jia Xin sang Sandy Lam's song during the show a few days before the Superstar grand finals. There were 2 shows, one for the guy contestants and the other for the girl contestants.

I agree that her singing is good, but perhaps she's alittle too thin. :oops:

Yep, i agree that jia xin's singing is not bad, but due to lack of support and not so good luck, she couldn't stay long in the competition.

With superfunkies ending soon, leon, ruth, chanel and william are going to be out of job soon. I hope they have more projects for them, because i feel that it's a pity to gain abit of experience in hosting and stop just like that.

There was this part where they showed a few pairs of twins and I was really impressed by the first twin. They sang really really well and their co-operation is really impressive!! I suddenly realised that Silver's attitude in the show has changed alot. And also one thing, don't you realised that Superfunkies is slowly turning to be a show for only a few of the Superstars?? At leat Leon's singing is comfortable to the ears, whereas Sugi's voice is...erm...how do I say...:unsure: a bit 刺耳? sorry, I don't know the term in English... But yeah, Leon shouldn't add those "extra things" like what HaNaBi said, those things doesn't make the whole song right.

i prefer leon's voice to sugi's voice. sugi's voice got that really irritating slang in there which is a bit sharp to the ear. leon's voice is more smooth and i love his high notes. (: no offence to HaNaBi.

Regarding with Sugi and Leon's voice, I find that they are special in different areas.

Sugi's way of presentation of songs is like Lee Hom, maybe more exaggerated. And I agree with -zhoujielunrocks that his voice is more slang. Leon's voice on the other hand is more high pitched, and smoother. His voice is more suitable for ballads.

Hmmm... I don't think Sugi's like Leehom. Leehom doesn't sing like that. He's trying to imitate the ABC slang I think. I personally find Sugi's voice a little irritating - he still has the nasal voice also. Sorry ah Hanabi...

I would prefer Leon's voice. I think he added those extra things because they wanted to give the song "Wang Chun Feng" a more modern feel. I think they are trying to imitate David Tao again... David Tao always add lots of zhuan3 yin1 and stuff... Z Chen also. Agree with Stary (hope you don't mind me calling you that hehe cos your nick's so long hehe) Leon's voice is high-pitched and smooth and clear also. Quite nice. Oh and I think his falsettos were all very nicely done. hehe... Maybe I'm bias hhaa. I still can't believe Leon's only 18...

Where they used singers from Project Superstar to host these shows, using the fanbases they've built over time to gain publicity... And I guess "campus Superstar" would do really well. Because I guess most of us would have dreamt of becoming a Super Star singer when we grow up and "Campus Superstar" is just the right channel for teens to realise their dreams, and they are also indirectly carrying our old teenage dreams....

The last episode..Yap the last outing seems fun. The shots of them falling into the water were really funny. And it was the last time Leon could "qiang3 jing4 tou2". haha...

I thought the girls singing bu4 xiang3 zhang3 da4 wasn't very nice. They were like trying to fake some kind of tone or something. Very weird. After such a long time, it seems that their singing didn't improve..Maybe it's just me.. oh well..

Hope the 'superstars' have a great future ahead! haha...At least they brought to us quite a bit of entertainment in the year 2005! =)

the girls' singing wasn't good, really. except for xinhuey's. i think her voice cannot be compared with the others. and i also think candyce's voice is the flattest. i can't seem to take her voice. and chanel, i think she has the same slanging problem as sugi. which annoys me. what do you all think?

Well, for leon.. he has to go army soon right? Perhaps after army, he'll have other opportunities. I feel that Leon is always improving. His voice is good! Sugi improved too.. Hopefully they're lucky enough to get more chances.

Xin Huey.. frankly, i feel that her voice is better than kelly's. But kelly has something which xin huey lacks. I guess it's the looks? I'm not trying to say that xin huey is not pretty, but kelly seems like an overall package.

sometimes i would think leon is better than jy. william has a powerful voice, the very LOW one, very gentleman. leon's voice is HIGH. i love his high pitch. jy's somewhere in the middle.

and also about kelly and xinhuey. i think xinhuey's voice is better than kelly's too, BUT somehow, just somehow. kelly attracts me more than xinhuey actually. maybe yeaa, xinhuey lacks SOMETHING. i was thinking the groove or something. i feel comfortable looking at kelly !

There was a piece of news on Channel 8's 6.30pm news that featured the Chinese New Year album which is in stores now. And they showed snippets of the MV filmed by Junyang, Kelly, Wei Lian, Xin Hui, Wei Jian, Wei Choong etc. They looks a little hilarious there especially with Wei Jian holding maracases on his hands and shaking them. :laughing:

I saw the MV too! Just switch on your TV and turn to channel U at about 1pm, then they'll show a few CNY MVs & the superstar commercials.

The MV was quite funny. I laughed when I watched it haha...Weijian & Weichoong still quite bald haha...It was shot at Sentosa I think, so it has the youthful and energetic and colourful look. Not very CNY-ish haha...

Is it only the semi-finalists? I was disappointed when I didn't see Leon haha

Wu Chu Cai Hong (舞出彩虹) is a drama serial that was aired in Channel 8. The series is over already. Most of the theme songs were sang by the Superstars including Junyang, Kelly, Ruth, Jason and Silver. The OST is out in music stores.


I also saw Junyang's MV in which he played the piano..

It's not really an MV to me. It's somesort of a advertisement to promote Channel U's theme "Dai Dong Ya Zhou Liu Xing". Xin Huey, Kelly and Wei Lian also flimed a short ad for it.

Nope Wei Jian didn't flim this ad. The MV we were talking about is a Chinese New Year song that some of the Superstars sang.
