no, you just have to use an email address provided by ur school, company, or ur isp.

Some websites want to protect their own security/server load, hence they don't allow people to use free emails to register for their services. The thing with free email is that you can register as many as you want, and that may not be your true address.
The site probably wants to limit the number of accounts a person can hold. The simplest way is to ask for a company/ISP based email account, because a person cannot possibly own more than 1 of each kind in most circumstance.
i got more problem to login to jay net someday..why???

heys.. in reply to the thread topic..
yesterday a friend tried to sign up. but theres the new "no free email address" thing..
and it's just my opinion.. so don't get all upset hehe. but i think there shouldn't be this new rule thing. because not everyone will have a non-free email.. a lot of people use hotmail or yahoo..
and it's really hard to geta non-free email sometimes heh. soo yupp.
anyway, sure you guys got your reasons for doing it..
i just thought that.. if you wanted to control the number of members or something.. maybe you could just i don't know.. ban those who look like they have multiple accounts or accounts which havent been active for ages.. haha
anyway.. just an opinion!!
you guys just do what you got to do. heh. :D
bye!!

hmm...i think that there shouldn't bethis rule...cause like zhoudaoyan said..not much people have a non-free email address.
my friend was trying to sign up today, but because she doesn't have those business/ISP emails...so can't sign up.
so ya..i thought that it might be a bit unfair to those who wants to join the forum but can't because they don't have a non-free email.

actually I tried to register a few days ago. but I just cant, coz I dont know how to have an email add from my college's site, since I havent visited it for ages. At last I borrow my friend's non-free email add to register. :shy: This can be difficult for someone who is new, you know.
