Darrrn you and your need to list favorite songs! *shakes fist* It's so HARD to choose.

1. Ti Tian
Don't ask me why but I absolutely adore this song, It's cheeky lyrics and it's tribal sound has somehow infected my mind and climbed to the top of my favorites list for this album.

2. Dong Feng Po
Who could not love Dong Feng Po? The er hu! The pi pa! The lovely olden day Chinese feel that even made my DAD think it was from older artists. The song really is too pretty for it's own good. *_*

3. Yi Fu Zhi Ming
Seen the mv lately? This song is uber cool with it's European flavor and the opera singing in the middle.

4. San Nian Er Ban
PING PONG! What more can I say? XD

5. Tong Yi Zhong Diao Diao
I just.. like this song. The 'kuang feng diao' (scuse the bad pinyin) part is repeated to the point where it's hilarious. ^_^

The tops of my list vary by day, but those are basically my top 5.

1. Qing Tian- I always like his songs like this like An Hao. They are kind of corny and sound kind of like movie songs but its good R&B style music hehe.

2. Ta De Jie Mao- Its fast and upbeat like an alternative song but still very Jay style.

3. Dong Feng Po- Same reason as Qing Tian.

4. Ai Qing Xuan Yan- Like a mix between Ta De Jie Mao and Qing Tian.

5. San Nian Er Ban- Like the pingpong background and rap style.

6. Shuang Dao or Yi Fu Zhi Ming- Depends on my mood which i like more.

The rest....I don't like these ones very much not that they are bad, they just dont match my music preference.

1.Qing Tian- Well this one is suck a beautiful song, great lyrics. Plus i love the part where it... ummm well i can't describe it, but if you know how to play piano or something it's where it goes, B,Csharp,Dsharp,B, Csharp,Dsharp, Fsharp, Gsharp(i think), G, than other notes... hahaha, yeah....
2.Ta De Jie Miao-Well it has great lyrics also, and the feel is wonderful!
3.San Nian Er Ban- Its about ping pong, so its great.
4.Dao Jin Xuan Ya-Well this is just like Qing Tian, i really like the part where it goes...ummm like Bflat, C, Bflat, Eflat or something i forgot.... you know i just realized i could have used the lyrics...i'm such a fool, o well..
5.Yi Fu Zhi Ming- Ummm about the same as the rest.

List of Favorite Songs in Ye Hui Mei?? Gosh.... kinda hard to rank because my taste kinda change according to my mood. But one thing that doesn't change, I always love his fast songs more than his ballads, so....anyway, here's my recent rank.

1. Tong Yi Zhong Diao Diao
First time I heard YHM, I fell in love with this song in an instant. It's another blend of chinese flavor (the instruments used in the beginning) and Europian classic music (tap dancing in the bridge). I found the beat is very catchy and the melody goes along with it. Just like linny, I love the "Kuang Feng Diao" part. It's very hillarious and diao at the same time.

2. Shuang Dao
It's a new creative song about martial arts. Instead of ramping with hip-hop rap like Shuang Jie Gun, or Long Quan, this one are more into blend of hip-hop and rock, which I found very nice. And he also puts his magic here, combining Chinese instruments ad electric guitar sound, so it has both the eastern and western element, which only Jay could pull it off. And the sound of the bass.... my gosh.... it makes me high.

3. Yi Fu Zhi Ming
I just find the song so very creative and neat. I love the way Jay could put every different things in this song, but still pull it off neatly. Some other musician (Anson Hu) might loves to experiment with sound, but couldn't put it in as neat as Jay. And ended up having their song sounded a little messy/scattered. But different with Jay's YFZM,the prayer, the opera singing, the mellowy sound that follows the song, it all seemed to fit perfectly and the song still sounds neat. Really nice!!!

4. San Nian Er Ban
I didn't like this song first, but the more I listen to it, the more I love it. I found the ping pong sound irritating at first, but later on I find it very creative and neat. The way Jay could make it goes along with the rhythm, is totally cool. I love the part in the chorus where Jay raps, "Bu yong pa, gao su ta shui shi nan zhi han" sorry.... if the pin yin is wrong, but you know which part I'm talking about. And also the "Bu hao xiao bu hao xia bu hao xiao". That's soooo cool!!!

5. Ni Ting de Dao
I love this slow ballad a lot. The piano intro is very beautiful.... soothing and with the sound of water.... it makes imaginary beauty of a romantic place. And the melody is very sweet, I love it so much. The only complain is how Jay pull off his mumbling too much in this song. But still I love it. I love the music and the melody.

If only I could put one more song, that would be Qing Tian. Beautiful slow rock ballad. :love:

This was hard to choose.... for now my choices are:

1. Dong Feng Po - I fell in love with this song the 1st time I heard it. I love the erhu part, it's such a pretty song.

2. Qing Tian - I didn't think much of the song at first. But I think the video was shot beautifully and it made me like this song a lot.

3. Yi Fu Zhi Ming - This song is just too cool not to like. Some of the things people didn't like, like the opera part and the screaming part, I thought they were very creative. And the video for it rocks too!

4. Ta De Jie Mao - I didn't like this at first, but it slowly grew on me.

5. San Nian Er Ban - The ping pong sounds are a brilliant idea and it blends in really well, instead of sounding very 'extra'.

Well, my ranking is always changing but for now....here is my rank!

1. Qing Tian - seems like lots of ppl love it and me too! I kept on repeating it over and over again...This is so beautiful. I love the way he sang in this song, it's just so perfect to me. Make me feel relaxing and sleep tight every night^^

2. Ni Ting De Dao - I love this song just from the 1st time I heard it! Good lyric and music, almost make me cry everytime it reached to the ending part that has just Jay's vocal, piano and raining sound.

3. Dong Feng Po - When I heard this song I feel soooo good! Such a beautiful music and lyric. I can imagine the picture of ancient Chinese, so romantic and sad at the same time. I love how Jay used a Chinese's instrument in this song, make this song sounds so special.

4. Nuo Fu - At first I kinda shocked 'coz its sound so similar to LP and Evanescence which are my favourite band, but it's just weird that heard this kind of song from Jay...but I love this song, its feeling is very softer than those band and also the rap from lil' girl is so cool when she sang together with Jay at the end of the song.

5. Tong Yi Zhong Diao Diao - I kinda attracted to this song ever since I'd listened to it from Pepsi's CM, but that time I don't know the song yet. And now when I got his 4th album, I was so glad when I'd listened to the whole song!! Love it so much~~ Such an energetic song!!

1. Qing Tian
Ever since i read the translation of the lyrics, i started to like this song more. Its very beautiful. I love the melody, the slow rap at the end. Its the perfect slow rock ballad for me. And after seeing the MV, and learning what it was based on, its just made it so much nicer to listen to.

2. Dong Feng Po
This is a very beautiful song. It has a chinese traditional feel to it, but it is something that only Jay can pull off. Very relaxing tune, fell in love with it the first time i heard it.

3. Ni Ting De Dao
Also a lovely tune, the words are sweet too, very romantic. I also love the ending so much. His voice, the rain and the piano, i can just feel everything pulling away during the last piano chords.

4. Yi Fu Zhi Ming
Very very creative. The video is really cool, the way he put the song together, the European feel, the emotions. This song is so Jay that it cant be disliked!

5. Ta De Jie Mao
I just love the melody of this song, the changes between verse and chorus. Faster and more upbeat than the other love songs in my list but still romantic!

1) Ti Tian- I just love this song the first time i heard it!!! Its sounds so meaninful and peaceful... love the way jay sings the tribal parts so sexy.... love the soft rapping too!!!

OMG!! I just love that song!!It's such a unique and beautiful song. I personally love the way Jay sings for the backstage vocal of the last two phrases.

2) Ta de jie miao
It's a good song. I love it! It started with a minor intro and then the melody changed to a happier tune...and the chorus is really catchy!

3) Dong Feng Po
What a nice song. The sound of Pi pa and Er hu match the song perfectly. Fang Wen San's lyrics is just simple and meaningful.

4) Ti Tian
WOW....This song is good man!!

1. Ai Qing Xuan Yan - weirdly, this is my favourite song from the whole album :) ...i got captivated since the first time i listened.

It was the song which stood out when i first listened to the album.....'cos maybe it sounds similar to other Jay compositions "Split"/"Tornado"/"Can't Open The Mouth"..with all the violins and piano.....

the lyrics are realli deep without being to ambigious/descriptive

the way Jay sings it makes it feel like you are realli on a cliff with love's power :blush: facing you



2. Qian Tian - esp. in the MV with the cello..i think Jay should have added that part to the original song to make it have its own distinct style.....also the "so so so si la ...." is also quite nice.

though, what i don't like about this song is that it just ends suddenly with no warning/just a strong beat of the drum.



2. Third Yr Class Two - i place this equal 2nd along with Qian Tian 'cos it depends on my mood to which i listen to music...

overall, it is quite unique to have a ping-pong as a rythmn.... and the answer-response chorus (like in Dragon Fists) is my fav too :yeah:



4. East Wind Break - the er hu and pi pa complement the drums well....but Jay's already used the er hu once before so it is nothing new.....

quite a relaxing song to listen to....



5. Double Blades - the disc scratching is superbly done and sound effects make it seem more like a scene taking from a movie than a song...thou i feel the "musical intermission" is a bit too long for my liking

the ending is strange with the violins 'cos it creates a disharmony with the fast guitar pace before and the beat just stops and violins play......

but does create a claming effect for the close of the CD :)....



the close seems like you have just been on a journey through different eras/place in the CD (eg. Europe, classroom, on a cliff, enjoying chinese tea with the er hu and pi pa playing, raining in a field)




Ok, some of u may ask why i didn't like "She Can Hear" or "In The Name of The Father" or even "Terraced Fields" -

She can Hear - which everybody loves :love: but to me :dry:

seems like the ending to Iron Box of Island/Secret Signal as they have similar beat to it...nothing new....another slow love ballad from Jay...at times can be classed in with "Go Back to The Past"...thou the "reversed lyrics" is quite creative of Jay

#2 Ai Qing Xuan Ya (Love Cliff) - The sound of this song is so sad and Jay sings it very well.

#4 Yi Fu Zhi Ming (In the Name of the Father) - A very.. strange.. and different song but I've grown to really like it.

wow i must admit jay did a great job with this album, all his songs are listed in the top five list. Proves that there isn't any filler tracks in this album. ok my favourite 5 songs as listed:

1. Qing Tian- unusual tune, and the feel of the song! i just love the way he sings this song, the heart-wrenching tone. and he wrote such beautiful lyrics for the song. i love the little yellow flower as mentioned in the lyrics, i feel like he is comparing himself to the little flower, which makes me want to laugh, yet i think he's so cute! can you imagine a guy saying he is a Xiao Huang hua? very cute. now every time i see a little yellow flower when i'm walking, i'l pluck it and start singing Qing tian, haha.

2. Tong YI Zhong DIao Diao- i like the starting of the song where fang wen shan was talking about the Thinker statue, it's perfect white marble or something. at first i thought the song was about him and his best friend being totally in synch, but it turns out he was talking abt the Thinker statue he saw in a hall, and how he can totally relate to it or something. hmm, it's too abstract for me to be totally sure, but that's how i interpreted in anyway. i really like the rhythm of this song, though i'm not musically trained to know exactly what is it about the song that i like.

3. Shuang Dao- the first time i heard this song i liked it, the tune catches you off-guard, the rich sound-track of this song, and the tribal yowling before the song starts. i dun really understand the lyrics, but it's very shiok to sing along. the zhong guo huang thing is abt the only thing i can successfully sing along to, haha. i just go da da da da da da da da da da yuan di da zhuan, da da da da da da da da da da da da da da.

4. Dong Feng Po- i thought it sounded like a Guan-Yin sutra( a religious song), and i referred to it as the Guan Yin song. cos the chinese instruments and the smooth tune is just so relaxing it can put me to sleep if it was longer. the starting of the song just creates an image in my head, of a guy sitting in his garden looking at the moon, drinking Nu-er Hong, like in those period dramas. fang wen shan and jaY really worked hand in hand to create a beautiful song fit for the ancient Chinese history. i suppose it's becos they love historical stuff.

5. well San nian er ban, Yi fu zhi ming and Ni ting de dao tied for 5th. i'm a greedy pig i know, but these songs are just as good. so i gave up trying to choose after a while, and list all 3 instead. well the reasons for these songs are listed by many others before me, so i see no reason to bore the audience again.

1. ti tian -- i love everything about it, the lyrics, piano, slow rap, tribal tune... (i also like dad, i'm back, so i guess lyrics bout social problems expressed in this rap way appeal to me)

2. qing tian -- it has a catchy tune yet sad lyrics, and i almost cried when listening to it..

3. ai qing xuan ya -- i didnt really like it at first due to the very slow 1st 3 lines, but after accidentally putting it on repeat, i started to like it, esp the high notes.

4. tie between tong yi zhong diao diao, san nian er ban, yi fu zhi ming and ta de jie mao (sorry, i really can't decide!) -- these songs are almost the same to me, semi-fast type, and they fit my taste cos normally i don't really like slow love songs.

5. argh, all of the other songs except ni ting de dao -- it's really too hard to choose.. i don't really like ni ting de dao cos it's too slow for me, and as mentioned above, i don't really like slow love songs..

it's such a pretty song! the lyrics are so smooth and elegant. i also like the melody of the song, because it sounds so old fashioned, since it's being played by the old fashioned oriental instruments.

2. Ni Ting De Dao
The melody is so sweet and pure. The words are simple, but they express such a deeper meaning.

3. Yi Fu Zhi Ming
I don't know what it is with this song...but it's so addictive!

4. Ai Qing Xuan Ai
Once again, love the melody, and the way that Jay sings the words.

5. Shuang Dao

since the 1st day i bought this album,until now i also cant rank his album,but if really want me to make decision,this is my ranking!

1. Dong Fong Po-very special songs for jay,combination of old instruments with music nowadays!shiok!

2. Qing Tian - Cos this is the kind of music i like for jay,like "jian dan ai","xing qing","an hao"....seems this represent jay!

3. "nuo fu"-huh...another special one,with the little child voice in rap,very nice,very similiar with the linkin park songs!

4. "yi fu zhi ming" - when i hear this songs at the 1st time,i really dun understand what he is singing about,even i cant hear the title of this songs..."shame"but now,i like this songs the most,cos...very nice songs and a very nice mv!!

5. "ti tian" - special lyrics with the starting of vincent fang!cant believe it he can put his name inside!ahaha....good friendship ya,but vincent,must be faster,dun let jay wait for so long!!ekeke..:p


other also nice,overall i give 90 % cos this is the best album over his 4 album!

I tend to link music with visuals, so the MVs played a role in my choices.

1. Ni Ting De Dao
This soothing ballad caught my attention right off the bat. I’m a sucker for these types of songs. (My fave Jay tracks overall are An Jing and Kai Bu Liao Kou, and now this track. =P) And plus, there’s that line sung backwards! Tres cool, in my opinion.

2. Yi Fu Zhi Ming
This song stands out the most in my mind. Maybe it’s b/c it was the first hit off the album and with all the hype about it: the operatic voice, European influences, special instruments, etc. Also, after seeing the MV, the vivid pictures became imprinted in my mind and it’s 百聽不厭 (bai ting bu yan)! :)

3. Qing Tian
I liked the storyline of this song and also how the lyrics were rapped in a gentle voice at the end. I liked Jay’s singing style here. Does bring back memories of those high school days as depicted in the MV. It really matters not that it was Jay’s first screen kiss. And of course, got to see Jay playing cello here!! :yeah:

4. Ai Qing Xuan Ya
I loved the falsetto used in this song and the chorus is really catchy. You can hear the sorrow in Jay’s voice and the emotions were aptly expressed. I also liked the piano intro and the subsequent addition of the orchestra.

5. Ti Tian
The topic of this song is very creative and I found the first line of the lyrics very funny. *lol* It shows Jay’s sense of humour and his close friendship with Vincent. The lyrics are very meaningful (especially after knowing how this song was inspired) and I like Jay’s style of lyric writing. It’s more colloquial and it’s easy for us to relate to. You don’t need to rhyme everything and put in a bunch of idioms. Just a great easy-listening track. The incorporation of the Taiwanese Aboriginal language was also very cool.

My faves: (disclaimer: i'm very influenced by the MTVs.....)

Gotta say that when i first heard this album, i wasn't particularly impressed -- it sounded very "jay" and thus like all his other songs. Nothing too special, despite all the hype about it. BUT i really think Jay's magic lies in the fact that his songs really GROW on you! the more u hear them, the more you're hooked!!! Ye Hui Mei has become my fav album now......

erm...the order may not be exact (changes acc to my mood!), but these are 5 of my fav songs from the album....

1. Ai Qing Xuan Ya
This song appealed to me the first time i heard this album.....it stood out amongst all the others, can't explain why....I think the piano sequence in the beginning was what attracted me to the song. btw, this song doesn't have an mtv, does it???

2. Qing Tian
Haha this is one example of influence from the mtv. i watched this mtv so many times!!! Its very typical Jay, but thats what I love.

3. Ni Ting De Dao
COOL COOL song. esp the reverse bit!!! and HEH the MTV was sweet too....I really like mtvs with a storyline....reminded me of hui dao guo qu mtv, which got me started liking jay =)

4. Yi Fu Zhi Ming
again, i think this is one of the best songs in the album, and has one of the best mtvs as well.....amongst ALL the mtvs!!! jay looked really cool in there...The song has some really interesting, gripping tones....

5. Same Kind of Tune
MTV was kinda cool as well......this was part of the pepsi ad? like the idea of integration of his loves (bball and music)....


Well, just wanna compliment the MTVs of Ye Hui Mei again....i think this album has the best mtvs ever! can't think of any other striking mtvs from the old albums, except maybe hui dao guo qu and shuang jie gun....

1. Ti Tian - Totally agree with Jielun's sentiments. I also really liked the line about the hotels, like tourists wanting to see the sights and all they see is "bi ni zhu de zai gao yi chen lou de fan dian". The rhythm of that line was also really swell. And I loved the opening piano bit - appropriately haunting, melancholic, nostalgic. This is a very important song IMO... his most meaningful to date. And it also helps that he wrote it all by himself.

2. Yi Fu Zhi Ming - Found the song quite weird. Thought it was a woman screaming in the background till I read some article saying that it's actually a keyboard sound. It's catchy in a weird sort of way and quite different. Yep.

3. Qing Tian - First song on his album that I learnt the lyrics by heart. Not too fond of love songs but this one is an exception, as are all his love songs, actually, but nevermind.

4. San Nian Er Ban - Love the ping pong effect and the rap. It's cute and so Jielun. Fang Wen Shan is my favourite collaborator.

5. Dong Feng Po - Don't know what the title means but I like the whole Chinese-ness to this song. Found it strange when I first listened to it but it grew on me. And the lyrics are beautiful. So very Fang Wen Shan.

I think all of his songs are wonderful and unique, but here goes:

1. Ta De Jie Mao -- I think this song is so different from his other cds, it is so pop-like(almost americanized music), sort of; so it was refreshing to hear something like this from him.

2. Ai Qing Xuan Ya-- wonderful, I've always like simple songs like this,much like his tornado song. There is also a nice melody to it so it just get stuck in my head.

3. Dong Feng Po-- interesting song, old-fashionish type of melody, brings back memories of all those old-fashion dramas i watched


4. Qing Tian--I think the lyrics have a great meaning in relationship, once the story reached its climax, it is bound to end, no matter how hard you tried to slow it down


5. Yi Fu Zhi Ming--so opera like, and he looks so hot in the mv......

6. Ti Tian--I think the beginniing is so funny, everytime i hear this song, i always crack up, but the issues from this lyrics should really be addressed

7. Ni Ting De Dao-- so very soothing, and nice tune to it but hearing the lyrics makes me kinda sad

8. Nuo Fu-- i like the rapping of this

I simply love the lyrics! I dont know why. It's a crtics to the society and Jay wrote it damn well and right. The way he made it as a rap. It gives the country feeling to it when the chrous came in. Jay make both of them blend in together. It's damn a masterpiece.

Again the lyrics! Yes, i look at the lyrics alot!! It seems to show how Jay wanna express himself. Being where he is now is really tiring. San Nian Er Ban mentions all those! This song also gives me alot of adrenaline in the things i do. Push me on rather! And yes. The ping pong sound. Instead of the drums, it is the beat of the song. Blends in perfectly! Zan!

3. Yi Fu Zhi Ming
Not the lyrics this time. Though i think they are written very well, i dont understand the story. Sad.. Anyway. the harmonizing of this song brings out the mystery and fresh feeling to a song. How do you say this? It suits the theme very well! And all the sounds effect Jay has added [eg. the wailing of the keyboard] is very good! A great masterpiece!

4. Tong Yi Zhong Diao Diao
Again! the tune of the song! It's much more different and it gives me the rock hard feeling. It's a damn different way of expressing the theme. Although there's the part of tap dance sounds.. seems uneccessary.. but it gives the song a more westernized feeling! I dont really know how to describe why i like this song. It just the Melody tt captures as i digest every bit of it.

5. Ni Ting De Dao
It's really hard to rank this song. I wanna put Qing Tian here. Or maybe if i can put 6 i would. Hmm. ok.. When listening to this album. I loves this song the most. The melody feels just right. Easy to digest and all. The only thing it outwins Qing Tian cuz i discovered through this forum the mystery of the mumbled part in the song! Yea.. thats it. oh yea! the lyrics are good too! This is a really tough question because I love all his songs no matter what. But if I had to narrow it down to five then they would be...

1) Nuo Fu:
I just love this song. Plain and simple. I'm into rock type music and the first time I heard this song, I loved it.

2) Qing Tian:
Even though this song is the exact difference of Nuo Fu, I still love it. The lyrics, the guitar, just everything about it makes me love it! It made me cry too... :cry: not many songs can do that.

3) Ai Xing Xuan Ya:
I love in the beginning how the piano plays the appregios (I hope I spelled that right). The lyrics are very nice. The song goes with the MV very well too. Very plain and simple.

4) San Nian Er Ban:
This song is the most unique song I've ever heard! You don't tend to hear very many unique chinese songs these days but this one is extremely unique. Who would've thought to use ping pong balls as an instrument? I love the MV too.

5) Ni Ting De Dao:
This song is so calming and relaxing. It has a very nice message to it. And after hearing wackycashew's rendition of it, I liked it even more. The MV is just too cute! And Jay sounds very cute when he speaks english.

If I could add just one more, I'd add Ti Tian because this song is also very unique. The corny lyrics in the beginning when he makes fun of Wen Shan because he's too slow at writing lyrics is just hilarious.

I think for me it will be... :

Ni Ting De Dao - Its slow but lovely tune is great , as well as the emotional singing by Jay making it more wonderful , can felt its sadness within the song , loved this song very much.

Qing Tian - Filled with the feeling of being loved , just like the secondary days , its lyrics and tune make it better. The singing style of Jay in this song , is different but better to me.

San Nian Er Ban - The lyrics and tune is marvellous , as well as the competitive spirits that i can feel last time. The Ping Pong sound blended in the song damn well , making it the third song in my list.

Ta De Jie Mao - Another different style of Jay's , nice lyrics , just like what happened to me last time , thats why i liked it more. The tune is catchy and nice , definitely a good pick.

3. Yi Fu Zhi Ming - non-Jay fans deemed this as awful..coz they heard the ghost cries and off-ed the song? man..this is really a masterpiece..once again..for so many years of chinese pop music..jay is the first to challenge black music rapping.. and who can do any better than this..

4. Ta De Jie Mao - catchy as usual tunes..and i love the ending really much..the duno wad instrument..really nice man..its juz like the ending of ye ye pao de cha..so normal, yet so unspeakingly appropriate.. though the music is quite loud..but don we all love his blend of music and vocals :wink2:

5. Dong Feng Po - it topped my charts for a couple of weeks..and coz i listened to it too much thats why it dropped to 5th hahaha..winner of best song 2004 ..need i say more ? :tongue:

I thought the lyrics of Yi Fu Zi Ming was insightful at the very least, but I guess everyone just thought it was all one mumbled tongue-slur of a song. Shuang dao was probably the worst song unfortunately (but not sub-par quality), simply because I couldn't hear what he singing about for the first few times I listened to the song. After that, I got down to reading the lyrics to the song, and they were actually mediocre (ouch that's such a strong word). Anyhow, San Nian Er Ban is underrated for its awesome beat, and Ti Tian's lyrics were superb.

1. Qing Tian << My Most favourite song off his album. Also, the only song that truly pulls at my heart and makes me cry. The lyrics are soo beautiful and the music video is stunning. I like how it's half a ballad and yet still a bit edgy.

2. Ni Ting De Dao << Maybe it's the music video ... but this song makes me soo darn happy !! It really brings a smile to my face and brightens up my day just listening to it. Very simple yet sweet.

3. Her Eyelash << Just rockin ! Makes me want to go out and do something crazy for love.

4. Love Cliff << After a while of listening to it, the sadness really creeps it. Makes me sad, but a totally different sadness than Qing Tian. This type of sorrow is truly from longing.

5. Would have been East Wind Breaks but after a very short while of listening I grew bored of it very fast (which is rare, since I really adore an 'oriental' flavor in a song). I guess it would be a losing tie between San Nian Er Ban (very unique and infectious tune).

1. Dong Feng Po - Look at my user name @ jcnet :) Of course... I made the user name before I learned how to ping-ying... I love traditional Chinese instruments (especially the er hu), and I'm glad Jay incorporated them into popular music so that kids who might've thought of them as "ancient" now find them rather DIAO. The lyrics are AMAZING. Probably my fav. Jay/Fang Wen Shen collaboration ever.
2. Qing Tian - Something about the melody of this song really touches me. This is one of the FEW songs (maybe only?) that can make me cry just because. :cry: Perhaps it's the bitter sweet, almost a lil' tragic lyrics? I think the fact that the lyrics of the song coincided with what was going on in my life at the time makes the song all the more special to me.
3. Yi Fu Zhi Ming - A truly experimental song in my opinion. Another one of my favorite Jay/FWS collaborations. I love it when Jay incorporates genres of music completely different from his own into his music. The Italian spoken in the beginning is DOPE. And I think the video went very well for the song.
4. Ta De Jie Mao - I like how the song seems to jump into a completely different genre when it goes into the chorus. The introduction isn't what I would normally expect from a song talking about a girl's eyelashes and lips--so that's cool. =)
5. Ti Tian - Another song with an important message. (I actually like the message of Nuo Fu more, but this one won because I like its melody better.) I respect artists who express their social opinions in their work. From what I've heard, Jay is one of the few mainstream musicians in Taiwan who do that. Oh yea, I also love its song for its use of Native Taiwanese singing and its opening lines! So cute! :brows:

1.Dong Feng Po- I think this song is so beautiful, melody wise. I love how he uses Chinese instruments in this piece, but then has a Western style R&B downbeat. When I heard it for the first time, I was so moved, almost wanted to cry. And when I read the lyrics, it became even more meaningful. Sounds like he particularly selected the instruments to symbolize the meaning of his lyrics. A masterpiece!

2-Ni Ting De Dao-I love the piano in this piece. I love the flow of the song, the peacefulness and quiet joy that's in the music.

3-Tong Yi Zhong Diao Diao -I like the faster tempo in this piece, and the syncopated rhythm of the bass. It makes me want to dance! But my favorite things about this piece is the chorus. If you listen carefully, you can hear the violin/string part. It's underneath the melody, and its really pretty! I love how he can fit such a beautiful melody in a more upbeat and faster song!

4-Yi Fu Zhi Ming- i like how this song is like pieces of different songs in one... a conglomeration of sorts, but it turned out wonderfully. genius, genius!

Oh man, this is tough...Here we go:
1.) Ni Ting Da Dao--- This is my first Jay song. My love for this song cannot be expressed in words. It's so sweet and cute. Jay's voice is so soft and I wish I were "K" in the MV. lol.

2.) Yi Fu Zhi Ming--- I didn't like rap. I had something against rap, mostly because most of the rap in the US are offensive and it's about sex, money, and violence. But Jay's rap is totally different. The lyrics to this song are so unique and Jay's way of expressing the song is incomparable (even though I still can't hear what he's saying...)

3.) Qing Tian--- Simple and Sweet. The end.

4.) Dong Feng Po--- I love that Chinese instrument Jay used in the song. And the MV matches the song perfectly. The part where he held the girl's hand to write calligraphy, the newspaper said he wrote the word "Diao". Awwwwwwww~~

1. Yi Fu Zhi Ming (In The Name of the Father): This is the very first song he performed at his Incomparable Concert. Once the music started, I was amazed b/c it sounds so cool and different. (I wasn't a fan before the concert. I didn't even know he raps!) And when he came out singing, he blew me away! I fell in love with him right then! hehe. Plus, the video is hot! I like how he puts his hair slick back. It just shows his beautiful face clearly. He's more handsome than I thought he was!

Beautiful song, I love it, I love singing the "check it check it" or what ever the words are part lol. MV is a bit wierd but still adorable!! The melody is really nice the opera singer is a bit awkward with the screaming but I still like it.

I love the opera part, and the italian part in the beginning, and the performance at Incomparable (wish I was there :( ) and the chorus, because I like to hear the background singers harmonize...or whatever it's called

2!! Ti Tian
I like it 'cuz the chanting part is catchy, but mostly I like the lyrics the most, and the sheer talent that it takes to blend a hip-hop rhythm that involves peaceful images with soothing piano music. It's very soothing, but it's not slow or boring, and to me it's a very unique way of rapping (one of Jay's charms ^^)

3!! Dong Feng Po
I like all the instruments used in the melody, and the singing is very lulling and soothing...and the lyrics are pretty, but I LOVE this part the most:

Hmmm......well, I think.....

1)Double Sabre (Shuang Dao)
Although I like both Jay's fast and slow songs, I prefer his fast songs and this song is the best of this album..well that's what I think.
He uses the swords effect very well, It goes with the beat of the song. I like the dramtaic drumbeat and electric guitar.

2)In the name of the father(Yi Fu Zhi Ming )
This is a good song. I like the rapping of the song. i think the MV is very good too.

3)Cluodless Day(Qian Tian) *Hums the tune*
Beautiful song with lovely lyrics. The use of instruments are used very well. It;s kinda neutrel and not one-sided which makes the song likable.

4)Coward (Nuo Fu)
I wonder why Jay put children voice in this song. Was it children? Again, electric guitar used well, the structure different and unique.

5)You Can Hear(Ni Ting De Dao)
Well, maybe this slow song is good. I like the lyrics and the soft piano.

1) Qing Tian - The melody is good and I started listening to it in June 2005 and now it's January in 2006 and I still like it alot! =) The song is so sweet.

2) Ta De Jie Mao - I like the lyrics in this one and of course the melody too. I don't know how to explain it... the song is just very special.

3) Nuo Fu - Is he rapping in it? If he is, I think he did a pretty good job. The effect of the little child(children) is really cool.

4) San Nian Er Ban - I like the introduction part... the timer and the ping pong ball bouncing part. Ooh, and it's easy to sing along. >v<

1) Yi Fu Zhi Ming - I love this song. The intro is awesome and really creative, and so is the opera part in the middle. Jay also sound really cool rapping in the verse

2) Dong Feng Po - The melody is so smooth, and the instruments sound fantastic. I love the whole mood of this song, and the lyrics are great, and written by Jay!

3) Qing Tian - A really good song, especially the guitar at the beginning and the 'ra sou sou' scale bit. The MV is really cute, especially when Jay plays the cello.

4) Ti Tian - The lyrics are so good, especially how Jay goes from scolding Fang Wen Shan to talking about the environment. It's also really catchy

5) Ta Da Jie Mao - The song is extremely catchy. I love the chorus, a great song.

1. qing tian- fall in love with this song straight away. i like how this song starts with slow ballad, then change to fast tempo, finally the chorus just blend it, with very relaxing melody. The lyric is simple (that explain why Jay prefers relationship during high school, which is more childish, if you know what i mean).

2. yi fu zi ming- this song define jay's style. the mumble rap, the smooth flow, the opera and the prayers, all this elements make his song narative, it's telling a story to us. classic!

3. ni ting de tao- fall in love with this song after listen it for a few times. i like the raindrops in the music background and the way he sung with low tone contrasting with falsetto, very moody indeed. besides, theres a very creative part which he sung "zi you ni neng ting de tao" backwards. Very creative and meaningful.

4. ai qing xuan ya- this song is very sad, a dark love song. Again the lyrics is simple, written by vivian hsu.

5. ta de jia mao- its uptempo song, great to sing and catchy melody. highly recommended to listen when you are feeling down. the title "ta de jia mao" is also special, makes me curious about whats this song about at first. well nicely written.

It's kinda hard for me to choose since i like almost all of his songs:oops:

1. Qing Tian: This was the first song that i heard from him. I was never really a fan of chinese musics, and when my friend sent me this song, i was hooked.

2. Dong Feng Po: I find this song quite meaningful. In a way, it kinds of relate to me. And the chinese opera in the background sorts of blend in to the song.

3. Ni Ting De dao: I dunno, I sort of find this song soothing

4. Yi Fu Zhi Ming: It's absolutely catchy. I find myself playing this song over and over again:-)
