juz to ask,any1 bought S.H.E's latest album-SUPERSTAR......i bought it and i heard jay's written song,"he bing gong yuan"......it's quite nice......i feel that all the songs r good except no.6-IOIO(that song too stupid) tao ze's 1 also not bad....the VCD in the album also have some of outdoor activities S.H.E did and selina cried like hell.... :laughing:

I got that album...actually my brother got it...there are a couple of nice songs in there...but i have not listened to it in detail yet...

As i said previously in one of my posts, Jay wrote "He Bin Gong Yuan" (Song No. 5) and David Tao with 2 songs "Luo Da Yu" (Song No.8 ) and "I.O.I.O" (Song No.6)...Lastly, Vincent Fong with his lyrics for "Bei Ou Shen Hua" (No. 3) and "He Bin Gong Yuan" (No. 5 with Jay).

Btw, when you mean Tao Ze's(David) song not bad, you mean "Luo Da Yu"? because "I.O.I.O" is also David Tao's song....

I've only heard the one Jay wrote for them so far.....

I think it's great :) The one mv that I saw doesn't have ella in it......... I guess they just going to leave her out

I.O.I.O is a bit weird, I like Superstar, He Bin Gong Yuan is alright. I haven't had the time to hear the rest yet, cos I still keep listening to YHM :laughing:

me heard oni a small segment of Yuan Fang on YES933, i thinki t sounds quite okay. downloaded He Bin Gong Yuan, thot it sounds nice but it's a pity tt Ella sang so few lines....

i think the song "superstar" doesn't suit selina and hebe's voices. esp selina. ella sounds ok in it though. their cutesy voices just don't blend well with the punk rock, though it's a commendable effort on their part.

so far i've only heard "superstar", "he bing gong yuan" and "luo da yu"... not planning to buy their album so went to the listening booth at tower records to check out the 2 songs by jay and david. i'll say that david tao's song is very his style! nice! and jay's one is nice too.. with all that bird calls at the background, giving it a very "natural" feel.

I just bought it, and I think this album is real nice. I recommend it for buying. I think this one is even better than the best of SHE Together.It comes with a VCD of Super Star MV and SHE in ...like military training. It's so funny, Ella is such a brave girl. While Selina And Hebe are practically crying all the time because they're so scared to do the stunts.

Well I can't read Chinese but I try to give what I got.

I listened to all of the songs.

Track 1 : Super Star
I like Superstar a lot. Actually the melody sound a bit like Chinese traditional, I don't know, is it just me. But The beat is nice. This one is from Sweetbox (Jade and geoman)

Track 2 : Yuan Fang
I think the song is very beautiful. This one from Backstreet Boys.

Track 3
It's a pop song. I think the melody is quite nice. It sounded like Jay's Xin Qing, Tao Zhe's I just wanna be your friend typical kinda of song, with guitar and light feeling. NIce one.

Track #4
I love this song. It's R&B song. Very Jordan Chan feeling, for me.

Track#5:He Bing Gong Yuan
The song sounded like Re Da Yu Lin in the intro. I think the song is very beautiful. Well, need to say more? It's Jay's work, with Wen Shan lyric.

Track#6:I.O.I.O
This one sounded playful,..... sort of like China Dolls "xiang bu xiang wo". And this one is not Tao Zhe's song, though. The composer name: Gibb A. I think he's a western musician.

Track#7
R&B song with rap. It's nice too.Because it has a little of Anson Hu feeling to it. With Chinese Instruments and the beat is very R&B. I like this song too. I love R&B. :bleh:

Track#8.
Tao Zhe song. I love it to the bits.It's very Tao Zhe. The beat sounded like Tao Zhe "Jian Tian Mei Hui Jia". Those of you who like Dave music will love this song. Very neat song!!!!

Track#9
The typical mandarin ballads like those sang by Elva Hsiao. Very nice!!!

Track#10
I think the melody sounded like a very sad love song with R&B/Pop feel. Sounded like Elva too. Anyway... nice one too.

I rate this album 4/5. This album is really good, well better compared to other SHE album. Hm... I try not to overate this album, but this album is really good. Never regret buying it!!! :)

I don't think they necessarily COPY people since they don't write their own music.. but they do tend to do a lot of covers.. >_<

I'm not sure if I like Superstar very much.. I've only heard some songs and I think it's too pop for me. Maybe the latter ones (that summer said sounded like Elva) would be better.

I brought mine in Singapore.There is a poster and i brought it in CD rama in Chao chu kang Lot 1.I am not sure whether the poster is only available while stock last cause i brought it when it is just released but you can go and try whether or not.

dont bother buying it. compared to their past music, superstar aint too swell. even if they have big decorative names such as david, jay, and vincent attached onto their songs, it doesnt mean anything. this further proves the point of how SHE is overrated, most of their success is probably based on factors other than their singing. no offense to SHE, and selina is still sexy as hell.

Not too big a fan of SHE personally but thinks some of their songs are alright. He Bing Gong Yuan is indeed a pretty nice relaxed song. Have nit heard the rest fm the album though.

Really likes Ella as i think she is a quite brilliant host. Much prefer to watch the 3 of them host rather than sing as i do not really rate their singing.

Miss those days when they were on Guess Guess Guess with Jacky Wu and Ah Ya.

actually..yesterday i saw the album but i was confuse whether the song is nice or not..very doubtful lah..

but after hearing ur comment..i think the album is pretty good...

so..wanna to make sure again is she previous album (together) nicer or superstar???..hehhe to convince me for buying it or not..

oh yeah..how many song in the vcd???

their previous album 'together' was a compilation of their previous 3 albums. It only contains 4 new songs and 16 songs in total. I liked 3 out of the 4 new ones....

p.e.A.n.u.t : I think the SuperStar CD is worth buying. I'm sure I'm not overating it. Out of all of the songs, I only doesn't like 1 song "I.O.I.O", the rest are really good. Trust my taste. :D (I think we share almost similar taste in music :wink2: )

Hm... together is a compilation CD just like Gary said. It also comes with a VCD with I think 5 songs??? or more??, I'm not sure, I haven't watch the whole thing.

The SuperStar VCD only comes with one song "Super Star". The rest of the VCD is just SHE doing military stunts, which is kinda fun to watch b'coz it's pretty funny.

Well, I think I recommend SuperStar rather than Together. The SuperStar has more varieties in music. Rock n Roll, ballads, pop, R n B, jazz. That's why I like this album, because it's not so boring to listen to it. While in Together, they had pretty much the same style of songs all around, and so many times when I listen to it, I fell asleep.... :laughing: Hahahaa , b'coz all the songs sound similar. But SuperStar is different.

Plus in MTV Chinese.... their album is ranked the 3rd, after 1st: Jay's "Ye Hui Mei" and 2nd: Yanzi's "The Moment". By the way, a little off topic... FYI : 4th: David's "Ultrasound" 5th:Machi Didi's "Oh My". So Ine, I hope I'm helping you in making up your mind. (Buy in DSM in TA, and ask for the SHE poster too :happy: )

I have almost the whole album (heehee :angel: peek download..) but I have to say I don't like it. There's not one song on there that I extremely like, which is different than their previous albums because I love a lot of songs in their other albums. This album.. I don't know the songs aren't meeting up to my expectations I guess. Their voices, however, are great and I still love S.H.E.

For me, I would recommend Together because it has all of their classics plus some new hits which are really good.

yes, i heard they are trying to change their usual style of songs in the Superstar album. When i first heard Superstar, i was quite surprised, its a totally different kind of song that they (esp Selina and Hebe) will sing. And i feel that Ella sounds most suitable for this song. But overall, its a good change for them at least. like summer said, the old albums songs are kind of similar. and to have another album like the old ones, it would be really boring..

They will be coming to Singapore for the Hits awards. and i really think, out of all the groups, there is a high chance that they will get the best group. unless energy beat them. ><

oh ya... she has recovered and discharged from the hospital, but she was told to rest for 3 months. :hmm: i know SHE wil be coming, but i'm not sure if Ella will.

it was ok i guess, i went the downloading way too.. i think it was pretty good, i didn't extremely like one particular song like cici said, but i thought almost all the songs were pretty equal in my liking so it wasn't EXCELLENT, it was pretty good.. :happy:

i think this album just isn't as good as their usual ones......but superstar is really good, i really like it. the rest are just.....ok......not spectacular, but alright. nothing that you'll get addicted to, let's put it that way....but that's just my own opinion.

Does anyone think that the chorus part of their song SUPERSTAR sounds like Richie Ren's "SHI BU LIAO" song? (I won't Die).
