i just went and watch it just now
pretty much the whole movie uses CG but it was kinda fun watchin it
except for the "lee evans" guy...his acting reminds me of mr.bean!!
he's irritating..........
and what's up with the appearance of ed n nic??
just for the sake of showing thier face?
not even more that 15 secs i think..........

Medallion? Nope! I was going to watch it with my friends yesterday, but the theater we were planning to go to didnt have it, so we decided we'd watch SWAT instead, which was tight! I'm glad we didnt see medallion anyways, since it got such a low rating from the newspaper, xP

the parts in hk were quite expensive from what I've heard on tv.

I wonder if they are going to do a Rush Hour 3?

I loved the first 2 :)

My dad said that Jackie Chan is not doing anymore movies.Because he is getting old can't fight that good he might stop 1 or 2 years or less. But I hope he could do more movies but he is getting old .But then all those good fighters are so short like Jackie Chan,Jet Li and Aaron Kwok

I think he has said he would like to be a director. When he eventually gets older and can't do all those stunts.

Anyone watched his cartoon series? I think it's ok hehe. It's about 30-40 total episodes by now I think.

he is a director now...........right?!!
he is the director and actor and sometimes the stunt director in his own movies.......

I guess he is lol.......

When he gets older he will probably just stick to being a director. And maybe make a guess appearence

Same here!! I saw the movie the day after it came out. I saw it with my best friend who is a huge Jackie Chan fan. When I saw Nic & Edison, I was like :excited: too!!

The movie was okay. Only recommended to big Jackie Chan fans only. Too much CGI and special effects and too little of the stunts. And it's so true that Jackie is getting old... that's why the part when he's making out with Claire Forlani kinda erked me. I feel so bad for Claire to have to make out with Jackie... I was like :glug:... that kissing part was so unnecessary... just like the sex scene in The Matrix: Reloaded was unnecessary. I think a big bear hug or something would've done the trick.

Oh yah, Christy was so gorgeous. I love it when she was barefoot... her feet looks so pretty *starting to think I'm weird* Speaking of Christy... the other reason why the movie wasn't so good was 'cuz too many scenes were cut out... so the movie felt too short and didn't make much sense... like how come Christy had those weapons hidden in the closet? Or where did that plane come from? Etc...

GaryDAI

I agree with the Matrix: Reloaded.....I thought alot of scenes were just unnessary. To much fighting honestly.........

Back on the medallion. While you felt bad for Claire Forlani. I'm sure Jackie loved it

And the plane came from the sky of course

Yup. Really surprised to see Edison and Nic as cameo waiters in the show. haha. Think most people had the smae reaction. Saw the show w my sis and she was shcked as well. haha.

Back to the show, was really disappointed really. Thinks its not a great show although some of the humour was good. But thinks the plot is too unbelievable really. Pretty disappointed not too see more of Christy Chung in the show as well.

And again i will stress that Jackie is too one dimensional with his shows and thinks they are pretty similiar. He always seem to be the nice guy and for someone his age, he should not be taking on roles that always portrays him as someone that is way too young for his looks. Jet Li still rocks.

I don't even know who Nic and Edison are. *feels stupid*

My family went out and saw it on opening night more out of nothing to do than anything. Watching the movie really made me realize just how old Jackie's getting. The overusage of CGs was kind of disappointing, though it's understandable.

I know it sounds weird, but Jackie Chan to me is like... Gackt to me. I always expect the best from them and the thought that they could be getting old never really crosses my mind.

Christy Chung was KICK ASS! When I saw her go to the closet and get all those guns, I almost whooped with joy. Ladies who can fight are too cool. And her husband in that was funny.

The kid was cute too... He reminded me of someone.. though I don't know who. -.-;;

hmmm...comedy would be nice too...

i saw the movie a week ago, it was really cool!!! too bad most of it was cg, how old is jackie anyways? he seems pretty old...

i was edison n nicholas but i didnt really notice the TWINS poster...

GaryDAI

he's 49 years old

I can't believe he's that old >____<

besides nic and edison, anthony wong supposedly has a cameo role in the movie too. i havent seen the movie so i can't confirm this.

simply_jay
08-31-2003, 03:25 PM
yeah..anthony wong is the right hand man of the baddie...i thought the ending flying part reminds me of keanu reeves flying in matrix.....

i saw the TWINs poster!! hahaha...me and my sis were busy trying to spot all the funny funny stuffs......and nic and edison looked so.......
i think christy look hotter than claire forlani though....i wonder how come she knos how to fight, they din explain that part....

on the tonight show, jackie chan said that he was going to do a period piece next, then film rush hour 3. he said that there are a lot of good martial artist actors out there, but they don't get hired or the recognition. maybe when he becomes a director he'll bring out these unknowns.

cherily
09-09-2003, 01:29 PM
hmm i dunno..besides jet li and him..dun think there are any more of those well known martial arts actors..yup..think when he retires someday he would become some big shot film producer and director to make all those with potential famous..haha..

So there's really going to be a Rush Hour 3? Can't wait for that ^^

I just watched The Medallion before at my friend's house and when Nic and Edi came on, we screamed and rewound the VCD.. ahaha.. yes, fangirls we are. By the way it's at about 12 minutes into the movie. :D

It was a bit boring for me - storyline was so-so, the action didn't look real, and at times it was a bit too tryhard funny.

Was Anthony Wong's voice dubbed? It really didn't sound like him at all. And I expected Christy to tell her husband she was also a secret agent or something, but they never expanded on that :?

anyway if you ask me tomorrow what the film was about, I probably wouldn't even be able to tell you because my attention kept drifting away from the tv. Nicholas and Edison were the highlight of the movie

That was a great movie fulled with action but i prefered the one Jacky Chan did earlier eg.Rush Hour 1 & 2...........

i saw it on the plane..but dont think much of it though because the story line + the characters are pretty lame. Take the main bad dude for instant, there really not much story on him, just shows him doing something bad and boom.. jacky gets his final fight against him

Ronaldinho

the medallion sucks like all of jackie chans hollywood films ....apart from rush hour 1 and 2
the only funny bits are when he gets stabbed by the annoying white dude and when he jumps off the building and misses the helicopter

what is wrong with hollywood there trying to make jackie chan into a funny ..doesnt make sense actor

his old chinese films like project a and twin dragon where the best

Well its not like Jackie Chan was force to make those movies. So you can't say what's wrong with Hollywood entirely.

Jackie did tell Jay Leno once that he wanted to make more serious movies and even a romance with Sharon Stone, something about trying out a new different experience in the industry. So who knows? He might be a bit more like Jet li but America loves comedy so he'll probably incorporate some into it too. I still like jackie though!!!!!

Hahaha! i saw it on the plane too!! Must be one of those 'plane' movies, coz otherwise no one would watch it coz it's crap!! yeh but then again, jackie chan hasn't impressed me lately, except i thought shanghai noon was kinda funny, just coz of owen wilson though.

how bad does jackie's new movie look though?? *vomits*

i thought the medallion was interesting. and yea i didnt really like how computer graphics was used cuz then its not really a jackie chan movie since hes known for actually doing all the stunts. i think i need to go watch it again. just so i can actually really watch the movie and see all the different chinese singers and stuff mentioned. ^^
