We don't even understand what he is rapping! That's the fun thing about it. Esp babyboy song, Beyonce was singing clearly and suddenly Sean Paul just rap with that funny accent....it's quite a unique combination...

I think he's cool. He has that funny accent. What Mike says is quite true, but that's the same with Shaggy. His voice when he "sings" is different than when he talks.

I kinda like Sean Paul's song with Blue Cantrell too...what was the name again? ...Breathe, or something? :?

me and my sis love to mimic him when he sang 'atta atta atta' or something in at the end of baby boy. it sounded like baby talk... :laughing:

i'm surprised that not so many people into his songs. sure we don't get what he's saying most of the time but that doesn't stop us from loving jL, right? ok, maybe it's not right comparing both of them but i think mr. sean paul is hot. i don't go clubbing often, but his songs always makes me want to move my body. but i don't like the girl dancers in his MVs, too much of skin and booty!! :crazy:

xJayChoux, Breathe is a nice duet. both of them looks good together in the MV. it seems that almost all female singer has a duet with him now, very marketable guy... :D

i first heard about him when i was in the states this summer. he was sooo popular. and i like his songs cuz you can dance to them. :happy: from his accent i could tell he's jamaican but when i saw him, i was really surprised! doesnt look like the typical jamaican at all!!

i saw him on MTV asia last august or september...he was hosting MTV jams. he says he's part chinese. i think his grandfather is. :happy:

miss_gun, some of the girls in his MV are too sexy, you need a meter of cloth to cover each of them decently. but i admit, some of them are good dancers. i wish i can move my arse like they do :laughing:

this is off topic, but you you noticed that the 'clothes' that beyonce wore in Baby Boy MV is like, WHOA... :glug: Sean Paul in the other hand dressed semi-formally as opposed to beyonce's erm... you know what i mean... and the dance beyonce did at the end of the MV is like she's a 'worm under the sun'. guess nowadays, you can't depend only on your talents to make it, you need to show more skin too(best example: Jewel)... how sad...

Sean Paul Henriques was born on January 8, 1973 in Kingston, Jamaica. He grew up in an upper middle class, multi-ethnic family. (His father is Portuguese/Jamaican and his mother is Chinese/Jamaican).

Hhmm...I find the beat in "No Letting Go" from Wayne Wonder different than the beat in Get Busy. No letting go is slower...and the way they dance is different too. Sean Paul is better. :)

our MTV asia is on cable...it's pretty good. all the latest MV are shown, american/english. we also get the regional MTV programmes form indonesia and phillipines (top 10 of the week). we also have TRL but it's like 2 or 3 weeks later after the US screening. my fave is punk'd by ashton krutcher, the way he fooled the celebs are the work of genius. sometimes they show chinese concert like the recent MTV Summer Summit on the weekends....

we don't have MTV chinese here but one of the new free tv channel are showing karabox and astrosong(no idea what's the connection of the songs and our horoscopes) and top 20 mandarin chart on the weekend, so we're pretty pampered here... :bleh: (arrgghh...i'm way off topic here :oops: )

i think sean paul latest MV is 'still in love with you' featuring sasha but if it's not, it should be 'baby boy'.

He has a funny accent but his music seems quite repetitive IMHO. Baby Boy was a pretty good hit and I don't think his accent is fake since when he was giving out an award, he was stuttering because of his accent.

I heard that in Baby Boy Jay Z was kinda getting jealous of Sean Paul over Miss B so they weren't paired up in the video.

I like Sean Paul, he's aright. But I tend to listen to the music and the beat though. Dude... I've given up on how to understand him without the lyrics. Sometimes it gets annoying but sometimes his music is very catchy ^_^... so if I can, I just block out his mutterings and pretend its something else and enjoy the music!!!
