I don't know wheteher this has been discussed before but i'm just wondering which canto tv series is your favourite?

my favourite has to plain love II, the one with lam ka tung and cheung ho yee.

at the moment i'm watching aqua heroes and i really like it although it gets kinda annoying because half the characters in it can't act.

Hmmm... If you saying HK series, i like the 'Light of Hope' (has Hong Bo Bo as main character, sorry i can't spell her name in pin yin), is very touching, nearly every episodes made me cry. :cry:
I like da old ones though, like 'Love is Blind' (year 1999? :glug: Gosh... i suddenly feel old... :wacko: ) coz' that's comedic and hilarious but really life-lessoning on how a pretty girl ends up with a dumb and ugly bad-luck guy. :happy:

I like quite a few...but i can only remember 2 now~

One is by Alex Man, called "Zhui Ri Zhe", the story is really great~ With Alex Man's acting, it just enhances the show~

Another is "Those were the days" or (Nan Xiong Nan Di), in 2 series, it's very funny and relaxing show to watch...with a couple of interesting theme songs~ :laughing:

hmmm I use to watch those when I was little...I liked anything that had Steven Chow (Chow Sing Chi) in it...and then of course my all time favorite has got to be the Condor Heroes series with Andy Lau, and the older one with Barbara Yung Mei Ling

my favourite would hafto be the first of the three 'journey of the west' series' with dicky cheung, that was soo funny!! i still luv it!!

i also like that 'say di choi zi', with bobby au yeung zun wah, and these three other guys - yeh, i spose no one will knoe wat i'm talking about.

and the 'larm chun lui auy' with zeng yu ling and the really unattractive dude whose best frend was a cockeroach called 'siu kerng'. that was also really hilarious

Thats the most recent AR series..Armed Reaction 3! Winston seemed like a good guy....but Ada and Bobby are sweet..they look very odd, i preferred the other girl (Nick Cheungs girlfriend in real life)

I forgot about Burning Flame....so sad... :cry:

burning flame was sad, how he locked himself in the room and TRIED saving himself.. his brother was so nice after then..

there was another movie i like a lot, umm.. it's kind of recent, Take My Word For It.. bobby was in it, and he looked sooo mean! :happy:

Was that the one with Chilam as well? And Annie Mann? My parents watched that but i didnt for some reason....I really like annie, shes sweet!

I can only vaguely remember BF1 cos i didnt watch all of it. Did anyone else see it? I think Louis Koo was in it, who played his fiancee who died at the end? Both series were very sad, very moving.

i like the series where they are a bunch of lawyers, gosh, i can't recall the name, it have bobby au yeung, william so, bowie lam, flora chan ..........etc.........

and there's another one which is a investigation series........ i think it's called "invertigation files" or something like that, with to tai yu and kwok ho ying in it........i love any shows with to tai yu and kwok ho ying in it......

i recently watch At the treshold of an era.......i think that's the name.........it makes chasing for every episode of it! gallen lo and louis koo was perfect it......louis koo was really full of rage and it's thrilling to watch he'll do for revenge!

My favorite canto TV series is...

1. Burning Flame 2 - I liked it lotz better than the first one and it was such a funny and sad series...the ending made me cry!!!

2. Detective Investigation Files IV - All I have to say is...Louis Koo was damn hot in that series.... :) I also thought Anne Heung was pretty....

yea i know survivors law is soo good and ben is soo funny and ling ling acts good.but my fav is square pegs kwow jun on and jessica and armed reaction is very good too!i think that bobby is very funny but it was so sad how the kid dyed in the 3rd one.and a sing a ming is sooo scary when he changes.

ben's realli cool and jessica's pretty funni!! yea, ling ling is pretty good at acting and vincent was pretty charming at first......that is until all those problems came along and got vincent pretty mixed up.. :glug:

I remember thinking that Armed Reaction 1 was scary for some reason...until i watched the other two..and the masked rapist totally freaked me out. The schiz was scary too.... :oops: ..i couldnt watch it by myself! And when the little boy died...i felt so sorry for his mother! But the ending was really good, Jenny Shing was very sweet.

Just waiting for the 4th to come out!

Oh Square Pegs was good too!! Kwok (whats his first name?) revived his career with his character Ah Won. He was so sweet... :D ...but i didnt like the ending of that either... :-x ..he should have ended up with Jessica or Winnie and even if he couldnt marry one, they didnt have to split the three up, one to England, one to Hong Kong and one to Japan!

i've just finish watching this series yesterday...........
i like it too.........
but i was a bit dissapointed with the ending!
they split up then meet again.............then wat.......?

My favourite has got to be Green Hope. It has good actors, touching storyline and theme. I mean...how many shows out there respect people with mental illnesses. A lot of the stuff that happened in the show was really sweet.

OMG, the Green Hope is one of my fav. series!!!

It made me love Joey Yung.

I thought the storyline was quite good and the acting was good too.

But most fav. series of all time: Return of the Condor Heroes '95 (with Louis Koo)
and the Legend of the condor Heroes '94 (with Chi Lam and Athena Chu)

I also liked DIF 4 (with Louis and Jessica)
Cold Blood, warm Heart ("Tin Tay Nam Yee") with Louis and Chi Lam

and more ,but i can't remember LOL

i can't pick which is my fav canto series. it's like i watch it everday, week in week out, everytime there's a new series i'll enjoy it a lot.. when the next one comes, i forget abt the old one..... hehe..

i didn't like Green Hope that much.. just like the song that he played on Piano..

one series that i find myself watching again , is Return of the Cuckoo ( chilam, charmain sheh)
the show with the 4 gangster brothers and Lau Ching Wan ..can't remember. but that was so sad.. :(

classic shows from jin yong is another thing! i have more favourites from there..
like Heavenly Sword And the Dragon Sabre ( 1986 version with Tony Leung! that was soo good!)

'A step into the past' with louis and jessica..that series made me like louis! ahahaz...buh he seems to have the same style in every series..like the same type of humour...
and that dragon pearl one...i duno the real name..with this tanned guy and this girl..LOL! its bout this fairy, who was responsible for this dragon pearl, buh she was too nosey watching ppl perform she lost it..and now shes stuck on 'ppl world' and has to find the pearl to find the real king!! and that tanned guy is the real king..and that guyz brother pretened to be the real king and yeh...anyone seen it? hehez..

healing hands 1 was scary..the last eps wen jacky is in a coma and paul fell asleep and he wakes up and jacky wakes up and he calls the doc and the doc was jacky!! that made me jump! .......it was all a dream..buh its really slack how jacky does wake up in the end buh dies so fast in the HH2!!

I really liked Return of the Cuckoo too! I loved the theme song, by Chilam as well. I always really like the theme songs, especially after listening to them a lot of times. Another good theme song is the one sung by Dicky Cheung for Duke of Mt Deer 2000.

A Step into the Past was really funny...Louis did a really good job, and Raymond improved a lot after Taste of Love.

Shu Qi was his girlfriend, who he promised to marry but later died i think. It was really sad later on in the drama when Ruby (the princess) died after asking Dicky if she was as important to him as Goldfish (Shu Qi).

I cant rememeber the phrase now..hehe....but it was funny trying to recite it with him whenever he said it. :D

My fav is "Return of The Cuckoo" (ie. Macau Street).

It was actually a series that made me cry everytime i see it.... :cry: , esp. when "man chor's" mom lied to him...

the series is very touching.it can make you laugh n cry...both storyline and themesong..

Yup. Agreed that there are too many good TVB productions to vote for just 1. TVB does have really high standards and its really entertaining to wtach their productions which can be really funny as well.

Recently watched Law Survivors and thought Raymond Lam was really good with his acting and right now i am watching Fing the Light nad its pretty good. Half way through it and already impressed with Shirley Yeung. Anyone knows her? Thinks she is the winner of the Miss HK competition in either 2001 and 2002.

Hoping to see Armed Reaction 4 as i think it should be out soon. Really enjoyed the previous 3 Armed Reaction series.

Does agree that Legend of the Condor Heros 1994 was really good. Julian Cheung as Guo Jing was really good. Portrayed Guo Jing's charater really well.

Pretty much liked most of Gallen Lo's series as well. Cold Blood Warm Heart was really good as well. had a really huge cast nad good plot. Nadia Chan is pretty good.

totally agree with The Legend of the Condor Heroes, though kinda missed a part of it when i was in china, i think somewhere between they were still young to how they gotten married and have a child.
though, another series i liked was My Date with A Vampire 1 and 2, but didn't like the second one much especially the ending with everyone dead and the end of the world.
that almnost remind me of Journey to the West, but i never finished it, one day i hope i 'll finish it.

I thought he would stay with Ada forever, although they looked really wierd together. Bobby and the other girl looked better (Nick Cheungs girlfriends in real life...the actress who moved to ATV...)

But i think Marco and 'Sam Yuen' have been through too much already..i dont think they can face anymore heartbreak..but it makes good TV! I think its really sweet how they are together in real life. Did they meet on the set of the original AR?

hmm i would have to say my all time fav is the ol school "legend of the condor heros" i still have tapes of it! i think thats the first show i can actually remember watching. the newer one with chilam is pretty good too, but i llike the one with andy lau the best.

as for more recent newer series, i really liked the first "healing hands" and "the return of the cukoo" at least thats what i think its called, its the one where chilam was a mute.

i was crazy over "gong shi lian shi duo" over a period of time. but i couldnt find the vcd so after they finished showing it on tv, my craze wore off. haha. it's really nice!! kinda like a love comedy, got rather bittersweet at parts too. gave me the warm fuzzly feeling. =]

I watched some of Healing Hands II...i thought it was good too, but i missed most of it when it was showing on tv... :oops:

I saw Burning Flame II too!! Jenny was so cute...but the ending was so sad.. :cry: i couldnt believe they killed him off... I knew a major character was going to die, but i never guessed it would be him.

has anyone started watching armed reaction 4 yet? i found it really confusing because when they left off from the 3rd series i thought sam yuen's daughter was 5 years old and she found out that she was pregnant and now in the 4th series her daughters like 10 years old and she's only 5 months pregnant. did i miss something?

on the track or off! it's very niceee!! although it's mostly on horses, but it's very exciting too. I like the YingEn and Yingyi the most..!
White Flame is also nice. Quite farnie in the beginning with all the trainee nurses bumming here and there. I like the main char girl. dunno wads her real name though. Anyway noes? She acts in Seven Sisters too.

Actually ... so far ... my favourite HK serial still has to be Detective Investigative Files IV. I thought Sunny Chan and Louis Koo was such a good combination! But I really hate Charmaine Sheh to the core!

Just find her so irritating. And of coz', any drama with Chilam is good. I really liked [Return of the Cuckoo].

Who was she acting as??? How come I don't remember seeing her. If you're referring to Gallen Lo's sister, I don't think that was her.

Actually, another drama which I really loved was Healing Hands. Somehow, after watching that drama ... I so wanted to go to HK. Please don't ask me why.

But it's just a feeling.

that girl her name is Shirley Yeung she is just so so cute.......and she waz miss Hong Kong in 2001...

i've seen 'aqua heroes', i liked it alot except for the ending.

Im still watching Aqua Heroes but i have the final tape, just gotta find time to watch it! I like the way they are using singers and other new people as the cast, gives it a fresher feeling, and a fun and relaxed sort of mood.

I think i know what you mean...the introduction when they play clips and the theme song give away so much, its obvious who gets together with who and who ends up dead etc...it just gives the plot away, leaving you just waiting for it to finish.... :depresse:

Yup...Bobby and Ada are still in it, as well as Marco Ngai and Joyce Tang. Newcomers are Frankie Lam and Yoyo Mung.

Wowee...i didnt even know they were making another one! But im not sure whether it would have the same appeal to it, the reason it was so popular was because Roger Kwok was so cute in it...but now hes recovered. I suppose there still is the love triangle between Roger, Jessica and Winnie but Jessica has a daughter as grown up as Myolie Wu? :glug: That must mean it is at least 20 years later...

I've seen a lot of canto series.. er... haha I can't really say I have "favorites" because I liked the majority of them.. ^^;; so in no particular order and from what I remember..

The Journey to the West series was hella funny and I love Dicky! He's so cute and funny! :D

The Legendary Four Aces was a fun series to watch...

And that one.. (I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT THE NAME...) starts with legend... uh.. I dunno.. >:( But it was about that beauty pageant and it was so sad...

Where the Legend Begins was good.. kakaka I'm so jealous.. the lead actress.. uh.. whatshername.. (haha I'm blanking out like nothing else right now..) she is so pretty..

Er.. I'm watching Herbalist Affair and Stamp of Love right now.. they are relatively amusing.. kekeke...

Colorful Life was that one about that dye making family.. er.. that was fun to watch too.. hahah I like to watch the "ancient chinese" series more...

However, Armed Reaction and Investigation Files 2 were pretty good.. a lot of the "modern" series I've watched were based on cops.. not very many "romance" based ones.. kekeke

Uh... there are a lot that I've watched but I can't remember any of the names.. :P Don't you hate that? I can see the drama and envision a scene from it in my head.. but I can't remember the name or anything!! ARG!!

I havent seen the W files but i saw her in Burning Flame 2. Shes not bad, and her character was very sweet. I felt really sorry for her cos she depended so much on her husband, and had to stand up and leave by herself.

Yeah, I liked her character in [烈火雄心 II] as well. I liked the way she made the character grow from someone who used to be so cranky and dependent on her husband to be someone so tough when it comes to decisions in love. In fact, I first noticed her in [妙手仁心 II].

But I didn't like her that much then coz' she was just playing some rich gal.

So, Jessca, you mentioned earlier that just by looking at the intro song of AR4, you very well know how the plot was gonna be? I am kinda going into my 15th episode and I read somewhere in the posts that Marco might die? :cry:

Is that true?

Square Pegs is a period drama about a grown man with the mental age of 6, i think, Roger...his parents find him a wife, Jessica. At first she hates him and convinces him that at night they have to stomp around on bamboo sticks instead of sleeping together, but she grows to love him and appreciates what he feels for her. He adorably calls her '老婆仔 ' and all things are great until Winnie becomes his tutor...

cacky - i heard the rumours too!! It certainly looks like it from the introduction...he is all hurt, with an axe coming down...and then Joyce screams out..similar to the time their little boy died... :cry:

Eternal Happiness was great...but Raymond was so think, i cant elieve it took him so long to realise who Michelle was...eeeeee.....

Yeah, i love the themesong by Andy and Flora...i think its uploaded in the chinese drama themesong thread...its very nice... :D

Its basically about chinese and western medicine and the people who are traditionalists and westernized...The main characters are Roger, Charmaine and Melissa Ng, and they form a love triangle. Originally Charmaine is with Roger but they split up because Charmaine's father does not think that he is good enough for her. She moves away and returns later...and Roger is with Melissa. Charmaine becomes ill and she uses this to keep Roger by her side....

I cant remember detail but its mostly about their romances, with a bit of drama and comedy thrown in....Check spcnet (www.spcnet.tv) for an english review..i cant give you a direct link cos of copyright stuff hehe...and theres always the TVB site...

I finished Aqua Heroes!!

*SPOILERS*

I liked the ending...i thought i was gonna end on a depressing sort of happy because Edwin and Bobo get together but she is still in a wheelchair, but its not! Its happy sort of happy!!

Hehe....its a good ending for the mood of the entire series... They still win the swimming trophy, Ken gets caught out, the other swimmers become ill and are unlikely to swim again, the parents get together again, Rain and Louis are on good terms, Sam and Stephy make it big in Japan, Theresa and Joe get together....and best of all Bobo is fine hehe...and Edwin proves how much he loves her by accepting the fact that she cant walk...

So overall i liked the series..id recommend it!

Armed reaction..well....i suppose its good cos ive been waiting so long to see it and i loved the previous series...seeing the characters again makes it good hehe....

But the storyline isnt as good as i hoped it would be. The Ada and Bobby arguements are getting a bit boring and so much is given away during the themesong i am just waiting for stuff to happen rather than being shocked. I suppose youll understand when you see it. It could be that I expected too much out of it... :oops:

Yeah, it's called [Take My Word for It] / [谈判专家]。Very good serial. It features Bobby Auyeung, Kenix Kwok, Annie Man and Cheung Chilam.

I am a big fan of Chilam. And I think this drama is really good. Talks about another aspect of the police force.

We always watch different groups but we never really pay attention to the negotiator specialists of the force. And I am surprised to find out that this role is actually volunteery, on top of whatever position they hold in the force. Interesting fact to know.

For those of you Singaporeans out there who have cable channels. Watch out for this drama next month on Ch55.

i really liked that series too. i was misinformed about that field too. usually in the other shows, these guys just pop up and go 'don't jump! don't jump' and their significance is really overlooked. it seems like a good application of psychology too. if i was interested in psych, i rather become a negotiator and save lives rather than sit in an office all day as a shrink...not like..shrinks don't save lives. sure they do...hehe. i like chilam too. but i think bobby and kenix was the better pair in the series.

i liked 'not just a pretty face', it didn't start off all that well and it didn't end all that well either but it was still good. they set out a mission for joey yung at the start but then she kind of forgets about it so the story goes off track a bit.

I remember watching the White Flame...i liked it a lot, very funny and it had loads of cute babies in it! Sweet moral to the story, highlighting the importance of nurses in a hospital: male and female.

It was the very first series i saw which starred wotcha-call-him....he was also in Survivors Law, not Raymond but the other male lead, Vincent... :oops:

i liked that series too!... haven't watched chilam act since that series where he played a mute... i think he did a great job acting in this role... i like to see the lighter side of him.

Oh yah, I caught this movie too. I am Chilam's fan ... so I practically catch most of his movies. I didn't really like the ending.

But then again ... haven't we had enough of happy endings? Personally, I do not like Charmaine Sheh, that's also one of the reasons why I didn't enjoy this movie that much.

Thanks for explaining it, I thought it was glue but I wasn't sure, it seemed like a weird way of dying. My brother thought the glue was congee :laughing:

Yeah 'seed of hope' isn't that good, it goes for 30 episodes and the cast isn't very big so there isn't much going on in the show, and the girl that gets sexually assualted was really getting on my nerves.

Hmmm... rite now i m watching Golden Faith ( Liu Jin Shui Yue) featuring Luo Jia Liang & Xuan Xuan, thot that the show was great except that there r some parts that might not be so convincing. Channel U is showing Guo Jing- An's Yong Tan Shi Lu and i like that show too but that is mainly cos i like Guo Jing-An, i think he really looks cute and handsome for his age. (if i m nt wrong, i remembered reading in a mag tt he is abovve 40yrs old lareadi.)

I'm currently watching The Driving Power, Seed of Hope, Armed Reaction 4 and Fencing Hearts. Seed of Hope and Armed Reaction 4 is finishing this week on TVBJ, I can't wait to see what new dramas are coming out.

Joyce Tang is in The Driving Power and she kisses Adam Cheng, I haven't seen it yet but I saw it on K-100 when they were interviewing her.

Well, I'm not actually very update with canto series but I have two favourites. One is comedy (about two years old) with Do-Do in it. The title in canto sounds like this : Narm Shun Lui Ai' (Men (something), Woman Love)..The leading male character's name is 'A-Lok' but I can't remember his real name. It was the funniest episode I've ever seen.
My second favourite epidsode is about ten years old! I can't remember the title of it now, but it's a story about a husband divorcing his wife 'cos he found someone new. The wife was kinda chubby and a bit of a dag and she went on a whole new make over and started a new life....in the end the husband's girlfriend left him and he realized the woman who truly loved him was his wife....okay okay..so it sounds a bit corny but it's was actually a really touching story. :)

i just finished yi tian tu long ji! no, its not a canto series but it was soo good. i didn't think the 'good' girl 芷若 did a very good job though. she smiled like ONCE throughout the entire movie and looked sickly most of the time. she looked better when she was evil. i loved alec as 無忌 :blush:

Hmmm... rite now i m watching Golden Faith ( Liu Jin Shui Yue) featuring Luo Jia Liang & Xuan Xuan, thot that the show was great except that there r some parts that might not be so convincing. Channel U is showing Guo Jing- An's Yong Tan Shi Lu and i like that show too but that is mainly cos i like Guo Jing-An, i think he really looks cute and handsome for his age. (if i m nt wrong, i remembered reading in a mag tt he is abovve 40yrs old lareadi.)

Nope, I've waited till my neck is as long as giraffe and yet there still wasn't any DIF 5. I really loved the Louis Koo and Sunny Chan combination. Not sure why they never continued.

Was it becoz' Sunny Chan went over to another TV station?

I watched Family Man when it first came out, but i rewatched it again when it was shown on TV, it only finished last Friday. The last episodes are moving, when their father goes into hospital, a very good moral to the story. :happy:

I was surprised at Moses' performance, as i had only seen him as the baddie in earlier series. He was very amusing, a bit of Jim Carrey in his style. I also loved the theme songs. Flora did a good job, although im not normally a fan of her as a singer.

Yup...he was Ada's really rich boyfriend. He killed Maggie after she began blackmailing him. Bobby saved the day after he stormed into their wedding to confess his love for Ada..but only to stall time for Marco to get there to arrest Winson. :oops:

I am currently enjoying "Family Man" ('Juet Sai Hou Ba") which stars Flora Chan and Moses Chan. Frankly, when I saw the first episode on TV, I was disappointed they casted Moses Chan as the leading actor, as Flora's love intereset. But at the end of Episode 2, I knew I was hooked! This show is funny and it doesn't irritate me with goofy acts. I've even started to really like Moses Chan!

Gosh ... I grew to be a fan of Moses Chan after this serial too. I first noticed him in [Healing Hands II]. I didn't really like him.

It was his character I guess. Pretty irksome. But he really caught my attention in [绝世好爸]。

Glad he took on this role also.

As for AR 4, Ah Feng (Marco Ngai) is not gonna die??? That's great.

have anyone watched Triumph in the Skies?
I watched the first few episode..I think it's ok..

Some of the people said it is just like "Good Luck", a Jap drama...I haven't watched Good Luck yet..so..I dunno about it.

I've just caught the first 3 episodes. The plot's not similar at all since there's no love triangle in Good Luck and judging from the synopsis that I read on the Net, nothing else is similar except that both series are about an airline company. Besides Kimura san is really much more dashing than any pilot in Triumph. :laughing: Don't get me wrong...I actually like Francis Ng too coz' I think he's got lots of charisma but I really HATE his hairstyle in the show.

Does anyone know if they are still telecasting the series in HK? I NEED to know if Flora ends up with Francis. It's the burning question on my mind. Surfed the Net the whole of last night to see if anyone can give me a clue but seems like no one knows since they are the show has not finished its run in HK. Also read that this is TVB's anniversary show so it's a loooong 40-episodes series.

It's quite a new series i think.
I think it's really touching and in nearly almost every episodes, i'd cry here and there (gosh.... sappy sensitive girl *shrugs* can't help it :happy: ). Pity i missed out da last few episodes!
But i just didn't like it how problems kept on coming and coming and there wasn't alot of solutions to fix em'.

My mum and dad were watching the last episode before when i was finishing off some work...i ran upstairs as soon as possible but i inevitably caught the first 10-15 minutes or so of the finale...

The ending kind of echoed the one of AR2, it was their daughters birthday..and people returned, except this time Marco didnt come through the gate to give his daughter her present...:cry: And if it is the last series they are going to do, they left things way wide open. They still need to find Marco (dead or alive), Ada needs to say yes to Bobby (like AR3). But is it possible for them to think of a storyline plausible to explain how Marco was found, returned to proper health and could continue as a cop? Im assuming they will want Marco back...(ie I dont like AR without Marco :bleh: )..and Ada is now a sergeant in a different station, there is another aspect to the crime-solving.

So basically, as much as i would like to see AR5, they have a lot of repairing to do! But if this is the final series ever, i cant believe they couldnt leave us on a happier note!! :-x

I liked the way Ada was saved though...just proves why Ken (Frankie) wasnt good enough for her!

Yeah Jessica ... actually, I realized that for [Virtues of Harmony II]. Each episode is about half an hour. Which means 4 episodes in one tape, which means about 100+ tapes for 500+ episodes.

Watch it slowly ... can't be that bad. Over in Singapore, I think they're already showing close to the 100th episode. And I am still on the 4th. *lol*

yup.. agree that AR4 is really a bore compared to previous series.. the rivalkry between the police and the society should not have dragged through the whole serie.. the ending was an anti climax as well.. but think there will be an AR 5.. on the whoie think AR3 is prob the fav...

well.. of so many productions this year i really liked Golden Faith.. have already seen it twice.. really feels that it is a great series with many morals that we can learn from..

has neone seen the 'w' files with Gallen lo? tat one i didnt relli like, with supernatural problems, it was just too unreal!!!!
I've seen the 'W' files, it was alrite but it ended really weird. I really liked Tavia Yueng in the show though. Did anyone see that she won an award at the TVB 36th anniversary?

And the way the pronounced it, sounds funny too.

Yeah he's the worst out of all of them especially when he pronounces Myolie's character name Zoe. It's like he doesn't open his mouth when he tries to speak.

Im watching Triumph of the Skies now...the plot seems complicated...and its good so far..the only annoying thing is the way the characters stop and start speaking in english every couple of minutes... :oops:

i was about to watch that also... this is one of the first series with english subtitles... did you rent it with the english subtitles?

Thats a very good point....i suppose it will be one or the other...both english and chinese subtitles wil take far too much space...

Throughout... :wacko:

He appears as soon as the first 2 minutes...and pops us frequently until the end. Hes one of the small minor roles...one of their colleagues.

My mum said that Juno wanted to sing the themesong, but as Raymond had already recorded it, the producers could only offer him a small minor role in the series.

i'm watching a series called "point of no return" or "Xi guan da xiao" wid Julian and charmaine in it, but i havnt heard of wu zao shu!!!!

point of no return is good, its a serious movie with alot of dramatic scenes, but julian lightens it a bit with his humor!!! At the beginning every scene with him in it will make you laugh!!!!
I'm onli half way through it though, but its pretty good all together!!!

I have been contemplating if I should catch it ... coz' firstly, I hate Charmaine Sheh!!! Secondly, I hate dramas that are not modern. Be it period or during the shanghai tan era.

So, I'll probably give this serial a miss.

Not a fan of Charmaine then...:laughing: ...the majority of people i know either love her or hate her. I suppose she appears in way too many series, and her roles are nearly always limited to the cheerful, but tragic, girl-next-door. But i think shes a great actress.

I have no preference over period or modern dramas. I watch anything hehe... :laughing:

Golden Faith will be showing on TVBS next month! I missed out when my parents rented it...so im dying to see it!! I keep hearing its great and ive seen bits of it, but i cant wait to see it all!

Any ex-Miss HongKong contestant-turned-actress is better, in my opinion, than Heung Hoi Lan. I can't recall her English name but I don't like this actress. Her face is somehow too long and I can't accept her as a heroine in any serial.

But she seems to be quite popular, judging by the number of main lead roles she's been doing. :cry:

anybody watch the tvb anniversary birthday bash? of course i only watch it to see who gets the awards...kwok chun on fully deserved his most popluar/best actor award...and what's her name? (another ex-miss hk) won the actress one....cheung hor yee...lol sorry bout the terrible canto pin yin....but wow she was soooooo emotional!!! :ohmy:

The ex-Miss Hong Kong is Anne Heung...i actually prefer her in a villain role...like in the series with Marianne Chan.

I love Maggie! I think shes great, pretty, a good actress and a good singer...and im glad shes appearing in more series nowadays.

Roger hehe...thoroughly deserved the award for his character in the period drama with Jessica... :laughing:

I can only recall one series which starred Miriam Yeung...Taste of Love with Flora and Raymond...i really liked that series too, one of my aboslute favourites. And i absolutely adored the themesong.

Oh I remeber that series, the one with Kong Wah in it and she was a guai fei or something like that. The very first series I saw her in was Detective Investigation Files IV where she played Louis Koo's missing girlfriend. And recently she was in Seed of Hope and she played a baddie in that series, she can be so convincing when she plays those roles.

yeah i think that's the name of the series. it's an olden days one..don't know the name of the main guy tho...anywayz it's all about fighting and flying around. the main guy had 3 or 4 girls fall for him at the same time. Charmaine's mentor/teacher was enemies with the main guy's mentors/teachers or something....anywayz, her character wasn't bad from the beginning but she became bad...possesive and played some dirty tricks to try to get the guy...
