I've noticed there's no topic on X Japan..

I was just wondering if anyone in here find their music interesting or like their music?

For those of you who don't know..X Japan is a Visual Kei group that's been around for more than 10 years now. About three months ago..Hide, guitarist for the band..died.

X-Japan is cool. They're like the founding fathers of Jrock. I thought Hide died longer than 3 months ago? They helped inspire bands like Dir En Grey. Honestly, I prefer them over DEG anyday. Yah.

yea, i know X Japanhaven't really gotten into that much...but i've heard two songs....'kurenai' and 'tears'.....
i heard about hide's death when i was looking through some jrock sites...apparently it was really devastating and some people even committed suicide over his loss.....

I'm pretty sure I can safely say they were the greatest and most influential J-rock band in Japan's rock history, too bad Hide commited suicide, he was like the japanese kurt cobain, I heard he died on accident because he was drunk and played a joke on his girlfriend by pretending to hang himself, except...he accidently did hang himself(embaressing) anyways, I think their best song is dice

1) Where in the world did you hear he didn't commit suicide? Pray show me the source. It's a unnatural death I agree (who in their right mind would accidentally get hung by the towel from he door) But he was drunk and I've read about how crazy and out-to-the-world Hide becomes when he gets really drunk.

2) The song was "Tears" Are you sure you know XJapan? For the record, Xjapan has no song called what? "Forever Longing". It's either "Forever Love", which was the theme for X-1999: the movie or "Longing". And neither was played in Windstruck.

He was attached. He was found by his gf who was living together with him actually. Poor girl. Imagine waking up in the morning to find your bf dead, hung by the towel.

Yup it is. The song is called I.V.
And it apparently contains some un-released stuff from hide.

I'm not exactly looking forward to it.. but yeah.

They are more than old school... They are one of the pioneers..
They are... the Beatles of Jrock.
