korean series - hotelier

anybody watched the korean tv series - hotelier ? i love the hotel general manager and the assistant manageress . the story have 2 pairs of very effective lovers and the lines are so fitting to the story. even though initially i doubted the general manager's looks - looks so ordinary middle -age man -but the attractiveness shines as story goes - he is an excellent match to the other male lead ( a younger and very popular/attractive star - who starred in " winter sonata " . i love those happenings at the hotel bar/lounge - with it's moody music accompaniment . everything is lovely - good and right ending too.
watched it at least 5x already .

i watched Bcos Bae Yong Jun was sooo good looking in there. i didn't care abt the other characters, especially the General Manager. OMG i hate his face so much. u know why cos he looks exactly like my driving instructor, who's an idiot. arr i still can't get over his face. haha. so that's my stupid reason. he's no match for Bae Yong Jun!
anyway, Bae Yong Jun looks so handsome in the show and i liked all his scenes when he's going after Song Yun Ah .. it's all very romantic..but besides this i thought the whole drama was pretty boring. all centred around a hotel .. but this series got me noticing Bae yong Jun..:)

Oh I finished watching 'Hotelier' a few months ago.There's a website that has all the lines the actress and actors said in the whole korean series.I remember reading it while I was watching it too.Really liked this series,but only watched it once.It did have a great ending to it.Funny sometimes too.

lol i was reading the lines at the website too. that time i didn't understand mandarin that well. so i had to read the synopsis b4 watching that episode to understnad better.than after that i reread the lines.. ^__^

but i wouldn't watch it 5 times! but maybe just my favourite parts.. i especially liked the kissing scene in the kitchen..hahaha....... :excited:

yes, the lead actor in Hotelier is Bae Yong Jun who also acted in Winter Sonata.

it's a very different drama from Winter Sonata.. so cannot compare.. but bAe Yong Jun look much better in Hotelier though! but he was this cool , ruthless character who didn't smile much.. in Winter's Sonata he was much more lovable.. :)

I didn't even get to watch so much of winter sonata.I only watched the first episode of Winter SOnata.

Actually mines was in cantonese,but I wanted to know what will happen in the upcoming episodes so I ended up reading them.

I don't think I can watch it 5 times.It's a bit too much for me.I can probably watch it 2-3 times.

Okay,thanks for making it clear for me about who Bae Yong Jun is.Although I watched one episode of Winter Sonata I think he looks better in Hotelier too.

saukraut- hotelier is better than winter soanta- more snappy dialog- soanta is so mushy - i gave up halfway and soanta lead male looks and acting is more interesting in hotelier - so cool and passionate at the same time. i can't remember these korean names!

Hotelier is better than Winter sonata?But it looks like Winter Sonata is better than Hotelier though(even though I watched only one episode).My friends told me about the story and I found it more interesting than Hotelier.

Yup I've watched that Korean drama...I quite like it, it is pretty good although the story is mainly about the hotel, but it is kind of unique though cos I've never watched a drama that is about hotel and stuff, and the actors are pretty good, especially song hye-kyo :)
It is pretty old though, the drama...it's been around for a while...

Yeah hotelier is quite old.I think it's been around for 2-3 years right?I haven't seen any drama that talks about hotel stuff either so I really don't know much about hotel stuff.

It's interesting and funny at the same time too.I just remembered the part when that girl fell into the swimming pool cause she tripped....I don't think she knows how to swim.

Who's song hye-kyo?I don't know any of their names. :blush:

Song Hye Kyo is the lead actress in All In and Autumn's Fairytale. I think she's soooo pretty... Her role in Hotelier was pretty blah though.

I agree with rikastar that Hotelier is boring I don't like Jin Yeong character coz I feel like she think Dong Hok (Bae Yeong Jun) is richer more than Tae Jun so she change her mind... and I don't like Sonh Hye Kyo 's role (eventhough i like her very much) but i like Park Jung Chol's character. He's so cute :wink2:

In Thailand, the most hit Korean series is Authum in my heart,All About Eve, Winter Love Song, Hotelier, My Fair Lady, Age Of Innocence but I think I like Age Of Innocence, All About Eve and My Fair Lady the most. :cowboy:

i love Hotelier..that drama makes me love Bae Yong Jun..i watched it 3 times i think..first i borrow the vcd..2nd.watched it on tv and 3rd i bought the original vcds..love it so i can play it all over again..
but i don't like Winter sonata..boring..watched it just to see Yong Jun..

I thought Hotelier was pretty good...but not as great as some other series, such as: All About Eve. I thought Bae Young Jun looked a lot better in the Winter Sonata series...probably because I liked his hair there... :laughing:

Some parts are pretty funny though...like when Song Yun Ah was yelling at the waiters in the restaurant in Las Vegas.^^

Oh I didn't watch 'All about Eve'.I never knew it was good,but then my friends said it was really good...but then the drama already finished. :cry: So I missed it.

It was pretty funny at some parts.Her english was pretty funny too cause her english isn't so well.I remember the part when the girl's skirt/dress kinda of ripped when it got caught on the door(it was when she was left alone at a desert or some place). :laughing:

yeah, its really hard trying to find his sites. A while ago, i found his official site...but the 2nd time i went, it said it was totally shut down... so i was like :glug: ...

yep, i've tried both Yahoo and Google, and in yahoo, also yahoo korea,..but when i did that, instead of showing me a singer named kang chul, they show me a soccer player named kang chul,..i look at his face, ..eh..nothing like the one i know of :dry:
ive even tried asking korean ppl, but most of them didn't know, they knew him,..but didn't know anything about him(besides the fact that he's REALLY unpopular)

well, he did go to taiwan to meet fans n'stuff,..but then nothing else happened...or that i know of.
i read in a site that talked about Kpop, and there was this little..i mean ..little!! paragraph on him, and it talked about how he's got a new cd out..and that was back in the beginning of 2003.. :dry:

viruskangta-I never knew that!I thought that the fast song was sung by someone else.I totally got confused with everything then...I thought the songs(the fast and slow one)was sung by different singers though.So I was wrong about everything.Thanks for telling me though.I got mixed up with everything.But they sound so different.Maybe it's just me that's why I thought that it wasn't the same guy who sang the slow song. :wacko:

Exactly!I thought the same too.That is what I was trying to tell you.Cause I never knew that he sang both(the fast and slow) song before.They sound so different.So once you started to talk about finding that guy...I was starting to get confused with everything.Cause then I thought you were talking about the guy who sang the slow song(who actually is the same guy).

Well now I know who it is and know that it's the same person who sings the song.I really got confused before.

This one is one of my fav Korean serials.
I watched this serial bcoz Song Hye Kyo plays in this serial though she's not really the main actress. She's a bit plump in this serial but still pretty I think :)
But it turned out that the story line is very good too.
