Favorite Female Singer (mandarin)

so out of the list, who's your fav?

they're all very great singers, but i like jingru, jolin, and angela the most out of them :) In the end, i chose Liang Jingru. she has a spectacular voice and awesome songs, like Jie Shou, Ting Bu Dao, Fly Away...the list could go on for a while :)

btw, i know that there are many many more female singers, but i only chose those that usually do very well in sales, awards, and radio charts.

i chose liang jinru...she has such a great voice and her songs are just absolutely touching!!!! like, i don't think there was even one time without listening to her songs that didn't make me feel all emotional...hehe. i mean, like wo xihuan, or fly away, wei wo hao, etc. such great songs.

klarence i was always under the major impression of you as being a hardcore jolin fan since you started like most of the jolin threads...teehee, but you voted for jinru!!! yay! xue's very happy...haha i mean don't get me wrong, i don't like jolin, but i LOVE her songs. well, and the way she sings them. but just not her person...

xue (can i call you that?): i do like jolin (mostly her songs and MVs), but I don't think her voice is that great. It suits her songs very well, but I think that jingru and angela have better voices. lol and i can see why you might think im a hardcore jolin fan. well, if jingru, SHE and other singers that I like had subforums, I'd definitely post a whole bunch in them too. it's just that only jolin has one. lol.

I prefer Jolin...although i do not have any of her albums, but i often hear her songs in the Dong Feng channel 49...splendid vocal voice...so soothing, i think i have got to start listening to her songs... :happy: :wave:

yanzi's voice is the best. haha. true, jingru's voice is also not bad, and she does have some good songs. but, i prefer yanzi's unique voice and her great songs. another good singer is angela, with her extremely powerful voice, but to me, she would be third. hah, jolin and cyndi really arent my favorites, but amei has a good voice though not many great songs. all in all, yanzi's my favorite. (could you tell my my sn? hahaha)

I voted for Liang Jing Ru@Fish Leung! She has such a powerful vocal! And her songs are very nice and meaningful. Other than Fish Leung, Angela Zhang and Stephanie Sun are my next choice.

JOLIN RULES ALL!! i dont understand why some people say that they dont like her personality...what is it that makes you guys say that? i'm seriously curious. She has good vocals and has a fairly good reputation in the showbiz. No trafficking in drugs and all that. Some songs that she wrote is full of meaning. Like the recent album J-Game' Fan Fu Ji Hao.

I was between Amei and Elva.

I choose Amei in the end becuase she has such a wonderful voice. Elva has an excellent strong voice also. Liang ru has good songs.

Why isn't coco on there? Although her lastest album wasn't the best, she has one of the best voices I've heard, a breath of fresh air from all the "cutsy" stuff. And she used to to pretty good in sales lol..until she decided to go international

Of course it's Stefanie. She's the one with the best vocal, and is unique. I admire such singers, who really has a passion for music, and is professional. She's not as vain as other female singers and depends on her voice and talent to be popular.

Tough decision for me, cos I listen to chinese music sung by male artists most of the time. Whereas I listen to J-Pop musics sung by female artists all the time.

If I had to choose, I'll pick Liang Jing Ru. Her ballads are great compared to other artists. Elva is also not bad.

Oh Jolin got the most votes. I like her songs too. They're cute and catchy, but i prefer female singers that can sing at the range of Mariah. So my favorite female singer (mandarin) is A-Mei. She has a great voice, that kind of smoky but powerful voice. It sounds great when she sings ballads.

wow. I didn't know that Jolin would be so popular. I was kind of expecting Stefanie Sun. I don't have a particular favourite female singer but given the options, I would choose Sun Yan Zi. For me, there's this very special quality about her voice. Plus, she's very very real. And her image is healthy. read: sunshine girl. And yet when it comes to handling the paparazzi, she knows how to tackle them well.

Amei is getting passe while Liang Jin Ru's profile seems to have droped quite a bit compared to the past. Cyndi wang is too act-cutesy and fake. Angela Chang still needs to carve out a niche for herself and she's getting there. Jolin is one hell of an entertainer on stage and she would probably come in second or third together with Elva.

That's all just my two-cent about the topic. =)

Vivian and Celest are talented in writing their own songs, while Tong En has powerful vocals... jolin is really pretty. pretty like the pop princess she is. but elva is about the same only with a different singing style. im not a big fan of amei but i give credit that she's an amazing singer and theres a reason why she's a veteran in the business. angela chang is really good to but im not at the point where i enjoy everyone of her songs. jolin has the package of hotness and musical skills but if i really could i would've voted for liang jing ru for her music. she has a beautiful voice and some of the most touching romance-songs ive ever heard. so maybe jolin is the princess of pop but jing ru is definitely the queen of romantics
