Well, i guess we just couldn't do without a thread dedicated to Hyun Bin - a star of the new korean drama "My name is Kim Sam Soon" :-)
Everyone who hasn't watched it, i'd really advise you to watch it. i'd say it's one of the best korean dramas i've watched so far ^^

I'm so obsessed with Hyun Bin right now! I just finished watching Kim Sam Soon yesterday and soooo hyped right now lol.
He's so cute, it's hard to resist his charm :love:
It seems that he's gonna be my 4th korean hubby now :D

Has anyone seen Daddy Long Legs? Is it a good movie?
I really want to watch Ireland, though the storyline is not that nice there ><

oh, i watched "Daddy Long Legs" today. It's such a touching movie :cry: I read not that good comments about it, but i still liked the movie a lot. HB is not the main charachter, so you don't get to see him that often, but when he appears, he's sooooooo cute :love:
and I didn't know that Ha Jiwon was the female lead in this movie. She's a nice actress :happy:

Ying, yeah, he auditioned for He Was Cool, but i don't know which role. and yes, SSH got the role and played the male lead in the movie. If it wasn't for SSH, i can really see HB in the movie. I think he'd fit the role really good (if he was auditioning for the male lead that is)

I don't understand what he says in that vid either, but it's still fun to watch him act, his expressions are so cute :love:

I don't know if Ireland is good, 'cause i read different reviews, some sad it was a bad drama, but some said it was very different from typical korean dramas and HB looked really good in it.

patya: i saw the audition for GWC. heehee... HB's expressions are so cute and funny... he looks so different to me now than when he was in Spinkick. maybe i need to refresh my memory. :laughing: well, you know how much i love SSH in GWC, so i don't think anyone can compared. but i guess if HB had gotten the lead, it would have given the audience a different feel, which could be quite good as well. :happy:

Hyun Bin, the male lead in the MBC series drama "My Name is Kim Sam Soon", has prearranged to play the leading role in a movie "Cotton Candy" which is scheduled to start filming in September.

A staff member at Hyun Bin's manager company has confirmed that, "Hyun Bin is going to play in the new movie 'Cotton Candy' written by Kim Eun Sook, the screenwriter of 'Lovers in Paris'; as well as supervised and directed by Kim Tae Kyun, the director of 'Temptation of the Wolf'.

The staff member also said that, "but right now we haven't signed the contract, as the script has not fully confirmed the details of the leading roles."

On the other hand, Hyun Bin has been popular among the female audiences since the drama "My Name is Kim Sam Soon", and so he has received tons of CF suggestions. cs_omigosh, hihi ^^. for rapidshare files you do this. click on the link, then scroll down and click on "free", when th next page opens scroll down again and wait a few seconds till the file appears there, then you can d/l it.

as for Ireland, well, yeah, i didn't like the plot either at first, but i heard that HB is amazing in it, so i decided to watch it despite the plot being bad. But now i really love the drama! The way it's directed is quite interesting, HB's charachter is amazing and he's such a cutie. I'd recommend to watch it, at least for HB.

I just watched 9th episode of Ireland and i'm loving the drama more and more. It's so sad though :cry: Every charachter is good and bad at the same time, it's all so confusing, i feel for every charachter :cry:

i definitely recommend my name is kim sam soon! its such a good drama! i haven't seen ireland yet (And by the looks of the caps, it looks irresistable as well) but you might as well jump onto the sam soon bandwagon! its funny, sweet, romantic and best of all, hyunbin's as cute as he can get in it. plus he and kim sun ah have great chemsitry so you'll like the female lead as well :excited: haha it cant get any better than that right?

Take me to Ireland, I saw it selling in M'sia but my friend had a copy n I forgot to ask her where she got it. She just said she got it long time ago before she watch MNIKSS. I got the pig in MNISS from YESASIA, its expensive and few weeks later I saw it selling in Spore for a much cheaper price.

I'm a bit too late in the Kim Sam Soon Fever, but still... it had the same effect on me. I absolutely love Hyun Bin to bits now!!! <333 I love how his dimples show when he smiles... I love his close mouthed smiles... I love it when he raises his voice and bullies KSS around... and I love it when he's all gentle and kind when he's worried. And of course it helps a lot that he has a pretty face, a long lean body and narrow hips :tongue: But more importantly, he's a very talented actor. He should be the next rising star from Korea. I hope more good projects come his way.

To those who haven't watched KSS yet, please do! It's very funny and engaging :thumbsup: Kim Sun Ah was just hilarious! and sweet; she's so real and all girls should be able to relate with her... Though I wasn't very happy with how the plot developed toward the finale, KSS was still one of the best dramas I've ever seen. Go watch it!

I haven't seen Ireland around the dvd shops here in Shanghai, but I'll be on the lookout for it. Anything with Hyun Bin in it, I'll get my hands on it :D And I absolutely love Kim Min Joon, the other guy in Ireland too.

The actor Hyun Bin is attempting to translate his good looks to the big screen with his debut film "A Millionaire's First Love." Hyun’s newfound stellar popularity is reflected in a recent survey by a website that found he was the man women respondents most wanted to have a love affair with, if only for one day. Catapulted to small-screen stardom as Samshik in last year's hit TV drama "My Name Is Kim Sam-soon," Hyun has landed a series of homeruns with his roles starting in the earlier series “Island.”
In the debut film released last week, Hyun plays an immature third-generation millionaire who is awakened to love. "My part in the movie is the heir of a millionaire grandfather who is just filthy rich without any special preferences or interests. He is rude to the elderly and quite arrogant. I don't know why, but I keep playing arrogant parts,” Hyun said.
"A Millionaire's First Love" focuses on the boy’s struggle with a clause in his grandfather’s will that says he will only get his inheritance if he graduates from a high school in the country. Relocated into the mountains, Hyun finds puppy love with a naive country girl. Can love change the spoilt urbanite and awaken his gentler side?
Although Hyun is still a fledgling actor, the web survey offers a glimpse of how far he has already come. Inevitably, women are his main fan base, as witness the huge crowd of them that turned up at a promotion stunt where the heartthrob himself applied lip gloss to 20 participants. His popularity owes much to his image as an arrogant but ultimately romantic lover and to clean-cut and well-bred looks that suggest a rebellious streak underneath. But Hyun is having none of it, flatly assessing his appearance as "ordinary."
"I have to look at myself in the mirror dozens of times when I shoot dramas or movies. When I look at myself, I can’t really see myself as good-looking," Hyun said. But with a 184-cm tall, toned physique thanks to his time as a swimmer in school, the strapping 24-year old has clearly struck a chord. His consistently improving performances look likely to strengthen rather than dissipate his popularity as time goes by.
