Jay talks about the women in his life - 31/12/2002

When Jay came out he gave people a fright. He used the manner of a new force to overcome easily and give the Hong Kong pop industry drought a period of heavy rain. Therefore, Jay the child was stripped of the right to play, he spent all the days with the piano. Every time he practised he heard the playful sound of his companions outside the window. Jay is always absent-minded so his mother would stand behind him with a stick. Always fixed on him until he finishes practising. If you said Jay's music foundation was thick, it is beat out with that stick. To this, Jay expressed that his mother's strictness in fact is a kind of love. Because when he was little he was very naughty and impish so she had to be a bit sterner. Compared to his mother's strict supervision and direction, Jay's grandmother looked after him thoughtfully in his life.
Then at the time when Jay was about to graduate from high school, he entered a singing contest, he never presumed that he would get an award. The presenter at that time was Jacky Wu, afterwards Jay naturally signed for his company. From then on, the more Jay walked on the music road the better it became. When he was not careful he became famous.
When he was writing songs, Jay often locked himself in the studio. He ate and slept in the recording studio. He was scared that the path of his thoughts would be broken. So a lot of the times he wouldn't listen to any phone calls. At this time his mother would come to the company every 3 to 4 days bringing with her clothes that have just been washed to him. And also she would take the clothes he has worn home to wash. According to his colleagues, after his mother came, she would often be outside the glass window of the studio gazing at Jay for half a day. After Jay won a gold award, watching him immersed in the studio, Jay's mother was worried that his colleagues would not be polite so she worked hard to get ready everything for him.
Now looking upon his grandmother and mother in the vision of an adult, Jay expressed that the feeling is not so serious. He said that the relationship between him and his mother feels like brother and sister. That kind of feeling of brother and sister; actually the still very young looking grandmother is more like his mother. Jay has a dog he loves; his grandmother brought up this dog.
