oof starting a new thread makes me nervous. hahaha ok well, i recently started watching a new korean drama called "my name is kim sam soon" (thread is here (http://jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?t=12934)!) and i've fallen in love with one of the minor characters, daniel henney. he started out as a model- he did editorials and runway all over the world.

... and he is majorly cute and hot. and so i felt the urge to start a thread because if i hold in my obsession any longer, i will burst.

ok, i've just recently watched Kim Sam Soon and omo, omo! Daniel Henney is HOT HOT HOT.

He really does remind me of Daniel Wu, thus I raised my eyebrow when I learned that he and Maggie Q are together. >.< I somehow think Daniel Henney is indeed a freakish cross of Daniel + Edison Chen.

Nevertheless, that Yoo Hee jin character in that series is so lucky. Not only does she gets to be kissed by Hyun Bin but also Daniel. *_*

The guy who stars in Sweet Spy is Dennis O'Neil. Currently, both Daniel Henney and Dennis O'Neil are being compared because of the fact that they're both mixed babies.

They sort of look alike too, I guess, but Daniel is more Caucasian looking and is a little more tall and lanky than Dennis. They're both handsome men, at any rate.

Apparently, Daniel won a drama award for Best Actor? Can someone confirm or clarify on this? I remember watching a clip on YouTube of him accepting an award and thanking his parents. He looked sharp.

Okay, I know this thread is somewhat quiet when compared to other Korean threads, but I felt like this is something that everyone should really read. We all know Daniel is a gorgeous gorgeous man, and this fan's experience proves he's a beautiful person inside and out.

As fans, we all love talking about his hotness, but honestly, the more I read about him and the more I see him in pictures and on TV, the more I love him for his sweet, outgoing personality.

Sue a.k.a. poem@soompi posted her experience meeting Daniel Henney, Hyunbin, and Kim Tae Hee while they were filming a new Cyon CF in Malaysia. I hope everyone reads it because it will make your heart absolutely melt. The way it's written, and how Daniel treats Sue, is just a wonderful experience that I think pretty much represents what every fan wants when they set out to meet their idol.

Thanks to the other few for keeping us updated at soompi too. Else i wouldn't know about it and miss this crazy experience. I appreciate it very much.
Here im sharing my incident, sorry it took so long.. im still drowsy now cos i stayed all night at the filming spot on the 18th and had to work like mad these 2 days. I joted down what i remember immediately after i left the scene. Now its so vague in my memory it seems almost a dream? So unreal.

Ok, enough rambling here it is. Be forwarned. I'm really long winded and like to ramble a lot. And somewhat dull. Maybe later i add more emoticons ok?

9.30pm
Last spot to try in Putrajaya.. almost giving up after 3 hrs of searching..The entire city is almost quiet. This area is especially dark and isolated except for the brightly lit bridge.
Drove up to the bridge...hmm.. somethings going on, lighting equips, cranes and stuff.
Lots of korean looking staff..
Immediately parked to the side of the road which is further down the bridge.
Came out and saw a trailer opposite the road.. gasp!... spotted Daniel! Wearing t-shirt and jeans.
Tall and handsome, its difficult not to notice!
Hang around the road side not knowing how to approach.
Seeing some girls there talking to Daniel not sure if they are fans or staff cos they were holding file folders.
I think even joining him at the table? I'm shaking. OMG, star panic!!
Went further up to find Hyun Bin. No luck.. going back down to where Daniel was.
The girls which i assume are now fans are preparing to take photo with Daniel.
So I took my opportunity and went up to him.

me: Hi Daniel..
DH: Hi there..
me: I'm your malaysian fan, may i take a photo with you too?
DH: Sure, do you have a camera?
me: Yes.... *and whipped it out of the bag*

While waiting for my turn, I greeted manager Martin too.
Then manager Martin helped to take the photo for us.
Photo taken, still unsure how to go about.. went back to filming spot.
I walked nearby some staff, they say I can go ahead and see.
So i went up closer to filming spot.

Look for tall guy.. tall guy.. aha! Spotted HyunBin. Dressed very casually... white shirt, knee length khaki pants, black nike shoe. He's almost too normal! He's standing around with a few staff and he's smoking!
Trying to get a good view without being noticed.. sat on a railing across road hidden partially with a truck.

Saw Hyun Bin walking about... then later on he plays around with a DSLR pointing the camera in all sorts of angles.
The kind you always see him holding in the Millionare's First Love blog photos. Suddenly see a staff come up to HyunBin excitedly with a MNIKSS poster, the staff also motioned another group of fans over and getting HyunBin to sign it. Seeing them chatting with HyunBin and then took a picture together.
Still sits there observing... HyunBin went out of sight..
Have to change position..
Walked across the road to the side where the fans are but seated on railings further down the bridge.
Seeing HyunBin sitting in the main tent now.
Daniel coming up from his tent. He has changed into a formal suit (- the coat).
Looks absolutely dashing!
He's across the road heading towards the main tent.
Manager Martin motioned Daniel at my direction, both waved so I waved back happily.

Decided to join the group of fans further up the bridge and got to know they are from Soompi too and was shown the polaroid pic taken with HyunBin. Got to know their names. Erenah, Eyka, Freeda and Isabel!

The main tent is directly opposite of us across the road, Hyun Bin is sitting in it so we're just like looking at it. We continue to observe HyunBin and chat. Daniel and manager greeted HyunBin. Daniel waved at us again.

Awhile later a staff, i think the same one earlier motioned Erenah and the girls to go over to allow Daniel to sign the poster, i joined them in the tent at the table. While Daniel is signing, i look at HyunBin who sits facing his back at us but his chair block by the table. Dunno how to call him as if his name got stuck in my throat. >o< Everyone bz watching Daniel sign.

After that we went back across road and begin to watch the filming of Daniel and KTH and HyunBin.

At bout 11pm Erenah and gang have to go. There is a middle aged couple there as well. The ahjumma claims his son is the boss? Later on, true enough a korean staff invited her to a tent. So left me alone. By 12am, the couple left too. T_T

Daniel done shooting and came back to main tent with manager, HyunBin is still shooting. Me still sitting there across the road from their tent.
They saw me, and I quicky averted my glance. Awhile later, manager Martin came over with a can of iced coffee and said "Daniel asked me to give this to you..." Totally baffled, I exclaimed "Wow! and Thanks!!" Then Daniel came over. Am I dreaming? Daniel seated himself right next to me on the same railing. We began to chat.

Daniel and his manager started asking me questions like how i come, where i stay, how i found out bout this place...so i told them bout an anonymous info posted on the internet. i told them i drove here and just lives nearby.
Then i talked to him bout the filming. Commented to him that it seems very hardwork due to so many retakes. Suddenly a question just pops out of my mouth...

me: .....is KTH heavy? (because he was carrying her for quite some time in the shooting.)
DH: no, quite light really, maybe just a little heavier than you..
Then he commented bout Tae Hee, bout how good her english is..
Then he mentioned bout HyunBin,
DH: You know HyunBin right? *Pointing over to HyunBin
Me: Yeah sure..due to MNIKSS i get to know both of you, Hyun Bin can't speak much english right?
DH: Even my korean is better so i try to teach him some English.

Then asked him whether he went around KL since he arrived earlier the day b4 and whether he finds the weather hot here. He said he's been here before for quite a few times when he was doing modelling last time and have also stayed in HK for 2 yrs so he can adapt to the heat here as well. He says HK is quite hot too.. especially in the summer.

Talked about drama, mentioning to him bout Spring Waltz.. he say it will broadcast in Korea around March so should be able to watch it in Malaysia next yr. And tells me be sure to watch. Then i tell him that MNIKSS will also broadcast this yr on Malaysia's local tv. But told them I've already watch it on vcd. Manager asked if the vcd subtitles are ok, so i said "not really acurate but can get better subs from fansubs on the internet". Both were like, "wow.. really?" Daniel asked hows the local drama here, so i said "its so-so because even if we have some skilled actors...there is a lacking in production skills". He agreed on this issue and starts talking of what makes a good filming, making beautiful scenes etc. But later I added that Malaysian's movie is improving tho.. etc. Then he gotta go...

Daniel: So how much longer are you gonna stay here?
me: Maybe a little while more.

Then he added if im leaving, tell someone to inform him so he can give me a proper goodbye.They went back to the tent doing something..

Awhile later he emerges with a thick book to read sitting alone on a chair next to the tent. He faces the other side.

HyunBin is still filming quite far off so I watched from the monitor that was in the tent. They keep shooting his close up face...which is all the clearer for me since im sitting so far off.

I've been sitting there for like 9 hrs (excluding the 3hrs hunting in Putrajaya) i dont recall things in exact order from here onwards. Chatted with some applebox staff which came over. They are quite nice and friendly really except for the big boss.

They are all curious as to why i'm still staying around.
There is this stairways located on both the side of the bridge that leads to a lower level kind of platform that runs right under the bridge. Quite dark below. Daniel and manager cross over to my side and went down together, go under the bridge and out of sight..i thought... "What? Going for strolls under the bridge? ... there is lots of mosquitoes you know as i can already spot a swarm hovering there. A few secs later only i realized what they were gonna do. Lucky didnt folllow..they'll think im perverted or something

Later on, HyunBin and his manager(or hairstylist?) also does the same thing , so he crossed over to my side of the road. We just look at each other occasionally, still speechless... In a short while they came back. As they come up, and are crossing the railing to head back up across the road, i gathered enough courage.. so i called out to HyunBin, "hyunbin...hyunbin....HyunBin.." (still meekly ) he only heard it after a few times and responded by stopping and looking over. I wanted to extend a handshake actually but he already walked quite far apart and i'm being blocked by the railing so i just bowed and said, "annyeong haseyo" ...he greeted back.

Then i asked if we can take photo together in korean (the only sentence i've practiced. >.<)... manager replied "no taking photo" in korean... i said.. "no? ok."

HyunBin then gave me a big smile with dimples on both sides with eyes like 'samsook' (the doll pig in MNIKSS) and walked on.. ............ ...... . ..

They walk back up to main tent. Feeling lost, i went back to my position and watch.. not knowing what to do next.. HyunBin, i still have things to tell you but how and perhaps a handshake? But we didn't start off our greeting properly so no more handshake. It was a mistake not to be prepared for all circumstance but i didnt put any expectation on being able to meet them.

Then korean translator came to chat... asked me what im waiting for.. i said i dont really know.. then told her i tried to ask HyunBin for photo but was rejected. She wondered why and ask me to try ask again cos he must be busy earlier. i say i dont know how to talk to him again. So she offered to help me to tell HyunBin, if given the chance.. that i waited here all this while just because to have a photo taken with him... then he is bound to agree!! i laughed... taking part of it as a joke but also grateful for her offer to help. While talking bout HyunBin and Daniel, she says... Daniel smells like 'peppermint' and HyunBin smells like 'vanilla.'

While we're chatting, HyunBin and his gang of staffs were sitting on chairs in a circle facing each other playing 'cat and mouse game'. This only i know when i asked the translator what they were playing with their funny hand gestures. HyunBin were playing with them excitedly like a bunch of 10 yr old kids. The translator added, "if HyunBin were as open minded as Daniel, i would be joining them right now." I thought.. yeah if he is then perhaps I would be able to talk to him.

Then one point when sitting alone again.. Daniel from across the road look over and cupped his hand to his mouth and shouted over to me..
"ARE YOU OK??" loud enough for everyone on bridge to hear... >.<"
I gave a thumb up... he reflected the same gesture and asked.. "SURE?" I replied.."SURE".

HyunBin seated just behind Daniel didnt even look back... i think he assume by now im only a fan of Daniel. T_T

Few times when they were snacking, Daniel and manager Martin will motion over from the tent whether i would like some chips or water. I tell them its ok, and signaled them an X sign... they insist...and i had to reassure them again. They are really caring.

At another time all (KTH, HyunBin And Daniel+ a few staff) climbed into a trailer for awhile, the one where Daniel used it to change earlier....cannot see whats going on inside tho with a black screen door. I was standing by the trailer with translator when all came out... leaving the door wide open. HyunBin noticing me there carefully slide the door shut. *HyunBin, me not a spy or paparazzi.* T_T

I went back to sit on the railing across the road. Going for '2nd round' ....HyunBin and gang (2 more guys) this time crossed over to my side of the bridge again, this time from upfront.. walking over slowly. HyunBin walks while observing the pavement...maybe shy so looked down?

He spotted a struggling beetle by the edge.. so he squats down to examine it with a stick...after awhile he got up again and continue to walk down towards my way...im trying not to stare too much... next HyunBin stopped and observed a softdrink can abandoned on the pillar that was crawling with ants..then his fren and him examined a door that was inset into one of the pillar on the bridge.

By then they were already close in front of me and still continuing to walk casually...i looked at them and smiled, they smiled back and casually walked pass.....

(u stooooooooopid girl.... HyunBin probably gave you the chance to talk to him.) They went under bridge again.. This time it took very long for them to come back up. Oh, then i noticed they come out from the other side.. -__________-

Throughout the shoot, i just sat there.., HyunBin, Daniel, KTH and managers and staffs occasionally kept looking over.. they must be wondering why this weird girl is still around. KTH especially was just staring one time.
Later on, the translator came back and told me when she sat next to HyunBin awhile ago, HyunBin asked her why i'm still there.. she says that im waiting to take a picture. Then HyunBin asked, "With Daniel?".. she replied No, with you..", ... HyunBin went, "huh? But we already told her no..." (darn, not the expected answer) so she just shrugged for her reply.

(skip this if u dont want to read my rambling) -------
Well, i probably may be seen as stubborn now. But i really didnt insist on photo really. Just because i felt empty without talking properly to HyunBin and get a handshake. Just felt like staying longer in their presence besides watching the production. Also, at times when i thought i should leave, i would remember Daniel's word about giving him a proper goodbye, I thought it'll be rude to just leave like when he said so. And then he was busy. Somehow i just end up sitting longer than expected and ocassionally applebox staffs came to chat with me. I get lots of interesting insights on their work. I can sum up.. while they are usually tired and over worked. like lack of few days sleep... they say they gain the satisfaction when the final product comes out. They seem so happy i admire their passion for their work. These ppl really work as a team, staff, actors and directors minding their own responsibility. --------------------------------------

Through out the night, watched how they work and how they passed the tedious waiting time. Observed that Daniel will play around with his manager and can never sit still without doing anything. HyunBin always with his manager (or hairstylist?) will go for walks along the bridge, play with DSLR or sit near the monitoring table, or chat with his gang. Its really funny when they fool around.. Daniel demonstrated Kungfu with his manager and HyunBin played ..tug-o- war? He and his manager tries to drag each other off with one arm o.O...HyunBin will always seem to stay by his 'close pal'. He hardly/never walks alone.

Late into the morning the filming went further and further up the bridge. So i couldnt see much except spotting HB playing with the DSLR again taking photos of manager Martin this time.

Time flies, it didnt really felt like 9 hrs at all? i ended up staying with them till dawn... i finally had to leave for work so i wrote Daniel and HyunBin each a goodbye note telling them what i wanted to say. As i go to look for the korean translator to ask her to help me pass the note and hopefully to thank her as well... HyunBin and Daniel together with their managers(/close pal) are already coming back down. Seems they also finished their shooting since its already dawn. No big group of staff so i just hailed to Daniel and he greeted me instantly (it felt suddenly as if he is a good friend or a brother to me )...

HyunBin walked on assuming i only wanna talk to Daniel. I had hoped to pass HyunBin the note personally and have a proper goodbye (maybe a handshake too?).. 현빈! 가지마!! -> In my mind i yelled! >o< Too late...

So i talked with Daniel telling him i finally have to leave... then he said "i'll never forget you".. i joked,, "sure! my face have been here all night!"
(i have no idea why i said that ) .. don't recall what he replied but we're laughing and telling each other to take care..

i said he must be tired over this filming.. patting him on the shoulder, cos he looks quite worned out. Then he returned with a hug and a pat on my back too..

(He smells of sweat even his shirt is a bit damp. Poor thing. Btw.. he is so tall and im so short..i just realized he must be hunching over to talk to me else my hand wouldnt have automatically pat his shoulder o.O How thoughtful of him. )

Then i said, "In case i couldn't see you again.. here's a note for you. Could u pass this one to HyunBin too?"
Daniel: Sure..
me: Thanks! And do take care,ok? Bye..
Daniel: You too, drive safely..
me: ok..i will.

As i walked away to my car i look back and saw Daniel catching up to HyunBin and passed him the note.. HyunBin seemed curious and asked.. then looked at the note... but since most are in English he showed them back to Daniel to translate...

both of them and their managers go over the note.... from afar Daniel look over to me so i raise my hand up signaling goodbye, he raised his hand too.. so i continued walking to my car.

As i drove back over the road... Daniel and HyunBin were parting... they gave each other a hand grab.. and got to their own vehicles.. i just passed by without honking them.--END

I've been hearing 'shocking pink rose' in my head since the last 2 days.

A short note bout KTH: Since i didnt really spend much time observing her..
She was in red all night... she maintained a posture all the time. Like all perked up.

One time i was standing near the trailer again... didnt realize she is inside, she came out with her staff.

She stared at me from above the trailer stairs, i didn't quite no know to react so just give a small bow and smile. Luckilly she returned a smile. From her expression i can't tell if she will be arrogant or nice.

When she done her part she will rest on her own spot. She will also get into a van and sleep or rest or eat in there. I just notice this as her staff ran back and forth to attend to her. She is quite petite and very pretty.

LASTLY, THANKS especially to H, Yuri and Kpop Kingdom to provide the source. Without this, it prob nvr would have happened. Ok, i want to sleep liao.

Something to add.
At times Hyun Bin and Daniel and other staffs were fooling around when they had to wait ... but when they are in front of the camera, they turned very professional. They do it seriously no mater how many takes are required. Such patience and endurance. It's an eye opener. I think koreans are really 10x more hardworking.
