Anyone here a TAKE fan? I didn't see a thread about them so i made one ^^ well they debuted in 2003 with songs like baby baby, party, ring but went on break for about two yrs and came back recently with a single called butterfly grave, also with one less member. ^^*

if you're a fan of H.O.T their mv Ring would catch your attention because Moon Hee Jun wrote that song for them and the mv is just so H.O.T-ish haha

yeah they've been out since 2003--they went on a break to practice n train that's why they sound so good in their new single and nathan actually sings! ^^ Anyways, on their first album they didn't have that many ballads maybe like 2 they had alot more upbeat songs....
here's an album review of their first album i would seriously recommend it.

This album will "take you to the stars" without a doubt if you are a fan of Shinhwa, K-Pop, Black Beat, or other Korean pop boy bands. A nice combination of pop, r&b, dance, and other musical genres, this album would probably satisfy most kpop-listeners. A few of this album's notable songs are "Baby Baby," the title track of this album, "You Don't Know," an emotional slow song trying to explain to someone how important she is, "Fly Away," a loving song about wishing to be with someone after she had left written by god member Danny Ahn, and "Ring," a song of the grief and confusion of loss written by the former H.O.T member and musical genius Moon Heejun. Each song is unique in its own way with well-written lyrics, good rhythms, nice instrumentals, and great vocals. Their title track, "Baby Baby," is a pop/dance song that will easily get stuck in your head. The story of a guy trying to win a girl's love might be too common in Korean pop songs, but the catchy tune makes up for it. I don't feel that bad now, being a brand new fan, after seeing everyone else slowly getting into them too. I just watched their Butterfly Grave mv, after it was sent to me by a few unnies. It's so beautiful! Vibrant colors and nice melodic shifts create this haunting song, not to mention a cute Nathan popping in and out! I'm anxious to hear more from this group *runs off*

^ haha no nathan was one the rappers back then and so you never heard him sing..that's why it's sucha shock! they're hard work paid off~ ^^

np! ^^* On one of the interviews on pops in seoul they explained that they went into training after their first album and decided to release a single cuz these songs were worth being title songs. And I believe they will eventually perform all of these songs on stage! I have more performances if anyone would like them.

haha... wow i love these guys...i had actually quite literally stumbled upon them by accident...i randomly surfed the internet and saw that TAKE had a new album, so i listened to their first album, not really expecting much, but i instantly fell in love with their single To Girls, and then i went crazy over Butterfly Grave after watching their music video (this was at like...3 AM, and i ended up bawling my eyes out the first time, watched it a second time, and bawled my eyes out again, and miraculously i woke up the next day with nooo puffy eyes :laughing:), and in general loved the rest of their album (except for the song To Guys sung by those girls, and the remix wasn't as good as the original song in my opinion)


Viv, yeah..the mv is a little strange, but it is by far one of the best music videos i've seen, even though you dont get to see take's face...it's wicked sad, and its an awesome song to just cry to...as odd as that sounds

i loved the songs in their second album, but i'm absolutely in love with "You Don't Know" from their first album O.O i love it when nathan raps, i dunno, it's so cool, and the rhythm and melody is wicked catchy, surprisingly, since their album was named after it, i really didn't like "baby baby"...i thought it was strange...and another song "Party" was another one of my favorites...what do you guys think? which songs did you like best in their FIRST album?

in terms of sharing, i uploaded the "Ring" Music video by TAKE...i didn't like the song very much, but it's pretty good, in terms of the music video that is...i was surprised that take could actually dance, because in their 2nd album there's little dancing (btw, does anyone know if they produced a "To Girls" music video? :laughing:), whereas in this music video, they actually dance in it...the mv format is impressive yet again, but i didn't really like how seunghee's face kept showing up and singing with his mouth wide open..his image is better in this mv, but i dont know..it was a bit annoying (not that i dont like seunghee though ^ ^;) check it ouut ( http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2601D071)

I just started getting into TAKE after i came back from Hong Kong cos i saw their performance on cable. I can't believe all the links on here are all dead, so i can't see any of their performances and listen to their songs. But i think they are a good band! :-)

Man do I miss these voices...I fell in love with them from 524 Ilhu...and it still is one of my favourites of all their tracks.

Their vocals improved IMMENSELY. I love it. I think that they are INCREDIBLY underrated...their vocal work is definitely up there with DBSK and FTTS. I bet if they didn't go on hiatus after their first year they would have been a force to be reckoned with by now against DBSK.

I like the single...I wonder if the release is a signal of a possible album release???

I heard that they have been active in China for the past year. I hope they make some nice comebacks to Korea. This is a great group.
