In the world of music (ASIA) jay always regarded as No 1 in ASIA he got many awards and invitation such as MTV Asia Aid 2005
others than jay chou there is also Lee Hom / David Tao
but have u think what happened to the world of music if these great trio did not born especially JAY CHOU !
for me , think i will prefer western song than asia
how about u ?

In the TIMES article in which Jay was featured, I think the journalist wrote that Jay sort of changed the face of Asia's Music. As in after the Jay Album, many other artiste sort of followed the 'composer-cum-singer' way.

well..i'd have to say my softer side will be empty..not that all of jay's music is soft of course..butt i would know something is missing...he's pretty much the only asian artist that i listen to...in addition i have and listen to more of his songs then any other artist..including the western artists and bands...that's really saying something there..im happy that jay has entered the world...even with a language barrier..he still manages to touch lives all around the world

If Jay wasn't born, there would stil be many other great talented artistes out there. So the world of music would still be able to keep going.

Well yeah, um I won't be listening to CHINESE music, that's for sure! Haha, I'll probably stick with jrock or alternative rock. Knowing jay's music, it's hard to live the day without listening to aT least one of his songs. Mang, that guy is so talented!

Erm I only thought of what will happen to his fans especially us.
If he's not born, we wouldn't be here in this forum chatting.
And probably I'm still listening to English songs and not Chinese songs. =P

In my opinion...if Jay isn't born, R&B won't be that popular.
If Jay isn't born, I think I'll be still supporting those untalented boybands. -.-"
And yes...if Jay isn't born, we will not know each other through this forum. =)

Exactly. We wouldn't know that they existed, and maybe, other even greater artists were introduced to the music world.
Gotta look at the other side too, not just that we'd have a loss.

I guess this is what MIGHT Happen if Jay isn't born.
1) Though David Tao and Lee Hom are 2 highly respected R&B and producers of their own albums. But if there's no Jay, both of them wouldn't be as popular as today, because they are constantly being compared with each other.
2) Mandarin Industry would still revolve around the same bunch of song writers and keep singing songs from other countries.
3) Fusion Music won't be as popular as now in Chinese Music.
4) And Yes! like No_pride said: we might still be supporting those untalented singers.
5) Rapping in Chinese Music won't be as popular as now.
6) We might not even know the exsistent of DIAO!!
I can't imagine what the Music world would be if Jay wasn't discovered...

if all 3 of them weren't born, i think i'll listen to english songs...
the 3 of them are really good with RnB which is my fav type of music.. and if they didnt exist, i think chinese music will not be as good.
i agree that maybe there are even more talented singers than jay would appear... but the style would be much different from jay. and i bet i wouldnt enjoy their music as much as jay's.
especially in chinese, if jay not born i think i would never like chinese music, before i know jay, i feel chinese music so boring, no inovation.
jay give new taste of chinese music......

if jay wasnt born!? ahh..cant imagine..maybe...the asian music industry may not advance so quickly into RnB and rap music...hahha...there are alot of other good composers...i guess...but i prefer taiwanese music more than hong kong music..and western music is alright...is very rnb based now...

That's a good question,wangsawinata. :wink2:
First,if Jay did not came about,I wouldn't have recognized some talented Asian artists.
I'll probably still just be endowed by Western and Filipino musicians, unaware of
the gifted artists coming from other parts of Asia, where Jay is one big influential prodigy. :shiny:
He's a main factor in changing the Asian music scene.
He has contributed a lot in the entertainment world and has since influenced
several artists and encouraged many others to create their own music
and emulate Jay,trying to climb the same ladder of success that Jay has already reached. :wink2:
In short,a multi-talented man named Jay Chou brought the Asian music into greater heights.

i wouldn't be interested in the taiwanese singers anymore...but i would still be inlove with rain, leehom, edison and alan...its not like if jay is the king of the music...but he is the most talented singer i've ever met...

first, i wouldn't be listening to that much of chinese music or any other asian muisic that much anymore, since i have been growing tire of chinese music(like nicholas tse, twins, joey yung, etc.) before i started to listen to jay, but jay changed my whole view on chinese music and introduced me to a whole new level of chinese music. also, if jay never existed, my chinese wouldn't be able to stay as fluent and as good as i'm now after all these years living in the us.

I think we will be missing something, like umm....when we listen to music like David Tao or something we would think, 'yeah his music is great' but then we still feel that there is something much better, something we can listen to that will bring music together, there is something missing like a music genius or something.
and of course, if there was no Jay, then there wouldn't be this Net.
i thought if Jay is not born the music world is really poor cos he is a great guy, he has his own music tallent and he changed our life.
i'll really bored if Jay is not born

if Jay is not born, i think there will be no competitors that can compete with David Tao and Lee Hom << Right? And if Jay is not born, there will be no more great songs for us to listen.

if jay doesn't exist at all.. then...
1. i might not even like chinese music (because i first like chinese music due to jay)
2. there won't be a good chinese industry
3. there won't be nan quan ma ma
4. other singers who the songs were composed by jay won't be as successful as today
5. overall chinese music industry wn't be as successful as today.. becuase there's no one who introduce rnb, and also sings in a talking way won't be popular... hehe

What happen to the world of music If Jay is not born?
Hmmm:hmm: ,good question though, well,if Jay was not borned,i would be changed into my old style which means that i will not be listened to any music at all,and carry on hating chinese music!!
So that it is.It is what Jay made me like listened to chinese song!!It is Jay who made me changed into new style. It is Jay who made my reading and writings in chinese improved. It is Jay who help my speakings chinese turn more better. It is Jay who made me feel relax when i listen to his song.It is Jay who cheer me up when listened to his song....etc.He really changed me a lot!!
