all i know is that hes Cantoniese! (pretty sad huh?)

i used to be obssesed with him too, but not anymore. he's cute, esp when he was in TVB's "burning flame" series coz he was quite built then, but now he's lost a lot of weight. but the guy can't sing to save his life. i feel embarrassed for him whenever he performs. he generally lip-synchs too, prolly after the horrific experience a couple of years ago at a hk music award ceremony when he sang live and did a bad job of it. he should stick to acting.

i'm not TOTALLY INTO him but my cousin is like "into-into" him, she probably finds 50 pieces of news online of him EVERYDAY and starts telling me stuff about him, and i'm like, " no need, keep it to youself!" and i'm dodging her everyday.. the bathroom is the SAFEST place in the house, LOCKS...

i think he's ok lookin, just a little crisp in the texture but he's fine. his movie "A STEP INTO THE PAST" was one of the BEST movies by him, he was actually a good actor! i think he sings REALLY bad, he's the one who sounds like a broken radio, everytime he starts singing a high part, i have to prepare to hear the "off key" and when he gets low, he sounds like a vacuum cleaner..:happy: and he's always trying to act cool in interviews or celebrations, it's just SOOO ANOYING! other than his movies, i wouldn't much like him..

Louis Koo filming his MV Special "Romance Coffee Shop". He invited Eason Chan, Angelica Lee and Lei Ka Yee to be his guest stars. Lately there is a rumor that TVB will prevent its artists from doing interview for another TV company, Louis said "I am a singer and also a TVB artist, I will respect the contract although somthing is hard to avoid. Louis's contract with TVB will ends this year and he said he still hasn't decide whether he will renew his contarct or not. But he will give the first priority to TVB.

i agree the badboy roles are best for him.....especially when he portrays a "Lady's Man ". i really liked him with Ekin Chan in "for Badboys only" funny...action packed....and NO sining of any kind! but his hair was too short. i like it a little longer on him. good story though.

you can't really improve on your voice. you're born with the voice you have and that's it. perhaps you mean improve his singing technique? i don't think he will tho, coz singing obviously isn't his passion and committment right now. he's too busy with his wife and child and his acting career with tvb. when was the last time he released an album? he generally only sings the soundtrack for the tvb series that he's involved in.

i wouldn't expect him to sing like J either. the style of music a person pursues also depends on whether it suits them and the sound of their voice. gallen venturing into J-style music would be weird. his voice wouldn't suit singing RnB, rap or rock.

but anywayz i'm getting :offtopic: here, so better get back to louis.
i agree, him and gallen in the same series again would be great. i'd like to see them play buddies perhaps, coz they've been enemies b4 already. :happy:

yeah you can't really improve the sound of your voice but technique you can improve. but it's not just the singing.. it's also the song as well. the only song i've heard him sing is mr. cool and i'm sorry that's just a really stupid song. and the melody sucks too. if he had a more meaningful song i'd probably enjoy his singing more... even if he can't sing.

it's hard to explain....the singing just doesn't seem to be there....the music and words sound more muffled, but only slightly, plus you can't hear them breathing when they take a breathe to sing. it's easier to tell when they're singing a song that requires dancing. most ppl lip-synch coz it's hard to sing properly when you're running of breathe. the only ppl i think who dance and sing live well are aaron, kelly and sammi. Aaron almost always sings live no matter what song he sings.

i agree with ker_ai_teresa~! Edison is Verry, verry bad~! but even though i like Louis enough to start a thred about him........his sining is horrible~! Edison is at least Bareable. (meaning he doesnt make my ears bleed in pain)*make it stop....make it STOP~!* :laughing:

and ddooll: to be brutally honest the cd was on sale in a reduceced bin for 6 dollers Canadian. mind you, in Canada there isnt verry many stores that sell asian cds, unless someone ordered it and never picked it up. pretty sad though. :?

as for the lip-synching question, ker_ai_teresa is right. to dance and sing at the same time is verry difficult. (i know i do it all the time....*shyly hides*) plus to add on to her comment on the sound difference.....here is what i think......if it sounds perfect or like the album.....its not real singing. a true singer would change it up a little, or sing a few words off the beat like Jay does.
besides if the performance you see is a tv special, no one sings at small t.v. venues. mostly cuz of Dancing/sound quality of the area/throat problems,or just cant sing that day. everyone has their resons. but to have them lip-synch at a concert is BAD~! if i pay money to see a singer...he better be singing~! :dry:

i agree, he's pretty "hot", and i'm a guy too lol. i dont like what he's doing now - similar to ekin. both these men started out their careers with a strong image from their roles in gangster genre films such as y&d for ekin and rules of the game for louis. but look at what they're doing now. pairing up with strong female leads whom might as well be the main character of the movies, in chick comedy flicks. someone should slap both of them and tell them to return to doing what they're good at.

hey my friend's friend was in zouk the other night, and he saw him sitting and drinking alone....oh my...Louis Koo alone? hehe.

has anybody seen the short MV film of his? don't know what it's called but he had many special guests appearing in it including, eason, miriam and some other famous actors. it was really funny! it's about him and this girl who know each other through the phone and messages posted in a cafe, and have meet by coincidence but not knowing the true identity of each other. sound familiar to anyone?

its a music special with something about coffeeshop....

it had this female who looks at least 90% like Sonija Kwok in some angles :laughing:

as well as Li Ka Yi (the girl who teaches mandarin for 1 minute on TV) who does some funny things as well

and the guy who is Louis's older bro makes the music special memorable as well

i don't think there's been any definite news about that, but i know that they are very good friends, along with Gallen Law.
when they were making the TVB series Detective Files 3 (or was it called Investigation Files?) a few years ago, they had to do this intimate scene. when Louis was interviewed about it, i remem him saying that it was hard scene for them to do coz they're such good friends.

well i did it... after avoiding his singing for so long... i DLed a few of his songs.
i really shouldnt have.
as yummie and talented as he is... singing really isnt his best thing to do. LOL~!
its not total crap or nothing... its just his voice doesnt posess the softness that singing well requires.
i got a vid of him eating a sadwitch out of the deal so it wasnt a total loss. LOL~!
pretty sad how i was amused by him eating a sandwich with a smily face on it though. tee hee. ^^;;

I love him too!! hahaha... Louis Koo is really a great actorr!! I saw him at first time in detective files 3!!! and i loved itt!! i want to but the series but i dont find it anywhere!!
and i love when he acts with jessica...its really a cute couple... i think i have never heard of them being a couple...just good friends...
i saw 'xun qing ji' too...but only the start of it...cuz i ddint hav time to watch the rest..=(

I love him too, expecially acting on comedies...very adorable. I think his charm and appeal is timeless, if you know what I mean. :wink2:

Well, he was supposed to have a movie with Jessica Hsuan. THey started filming the movie but they stopped midway. I wonder why though. It seemed like it was going to be a good movie too.

I'm not a fan of Louis but I think his acting is not bad...

In that one movie...I think it called "mighty babies" or sth(I dont know...) with Cecilia and Gigi...he was pretty good and very goodlooking although I dont like tanned guys... :rolleyes:

LOUIS KOO! I used to like him very much...until I saw Edison Chen, of course ^^ hhehehe. I still think he's pretty hot. I used to go for the "dark/tanned" guys but now I like guys that are in between. LIKE EDISON. but louis is still a hottie.

hmm he is cool in the outside,i admit he is handsome..and look differently from television..indeed he is very friendly!!!hmm its hard for him to smile for 24hr to everyone..hmm so this i must stand on him,cause i know he is friendly to his fans..he will always fulfill what fans wanted him.Just like Jay..he looks unfriendly sometime,but we fans know that he indeed is a jovial person.
