After looking through, I don’t think I saw a topic like this so I decided to start one.
I was thinking what is there to do in Singapore. Because when I’m going out with friends we are always clueless about where to go and what to do.
I don’t know about you guys but my friends and I are usually going shopping, catch a movie or go eating.
Admittedly, sometime I’m lazy to go to places that are too far away for me except that it really a special event on or something (plus someone is willing to go with me).
So is there anything special or at least different activities that you can do in Singapore?

Go windsurfing, it's fun, physically taxing, and you'll get to taste our wonderfully polluted sea water! Or kayaking and ice skating! You can also try camping out at Pulau Ubin or go diving at Pulau Hantu. But if you're the urban type, Singapore's just the wrong place to hang out.

i do agree that s'pore really doesn't have much unique activities..
since s'pore is really very small...
i'm basically quite the same as you only...
only that mostly on the weekdays i'll be workin till evening..
so most of the time is juz during de weekends where i got no programs..
so usually i'll juz head to bowling alley or billiard room..
hmmm.. sometimes watch movies (but it's gettin EX esp on weekends too)
so tot of looking for somethin else to spend my weekends..

Erm... i don't think there's anything unique in Singapore. Unless you consider those road performance unique. i mean i've seen some along orchard before and they were really awesome. a group of people from kids to adults playing instruments. it's really cool. and also sometime, there's COS Play which is nice to see them all dressing in those fanciful clothing too.

Ya. I agree that there is not that much you can do in Singapore. Most people I know goes bowling, play pool, watch movies, shopping etc etc.Yup, that is just about all you can do. Maybe go for a Karaoke session at K Box? It is quite expensive on weekends though. For those who do not mind playing late into the night, there are always clubs and pubs out there which opens all the way till 4 I think.
Actually, just sitting at some cafe with some friends and talk till all of us are tired is also quite an enjoyable activity especially when meeting some friends whom you have not caught up for some time. Hope that helps.

There is nothing unique to do in Singapore. She is really really small
I used to ice skate and it gets boring after a while. I felt skating in circles.

Some of the suggestions sound good. I will try some of it out. Thanks for all the suggestions. Keep them coming. Recently, I had been watching so much movies that I’m going broke (3 movies within 5 days). Cheap alternatives please..
I think dog spotting is good and cheap. I went to Bishan park last weekend and saw many dogs. I was thinking of bring my digital cam to snap pics of them (with the owner’s permission of course).
This is good for dog lovers I guess.

maybe you can stroll at esplande and see if you spot Jay there? Lol, just kidding. Hahas.
If you are more of into arts, you can go to the esplande to watch performances. Or you can paint or draw at some places in singapore like by the shore?
if you are more adventurous, you can go mountain climbing, rock climbing and stuff. there's quite a number of such activities in singapore i susppose.
Oh yah, is there a bugee jumping over here? Lol, I heard of it but not sure about it.

you can get a friend who's as bored as you and take the City Buzz(at least its cheaper than Hippo Tours) along with all the westerners and japanese tourists and take a little tour around singapore. :D it sounds pretty lame but if you really get down to it, it'll be a hilarious experience to share with others, and you get to act like a tourist. don't forget your camera.
or else you can go to sentosa and visit those weird places that only tourists go - and probably even we signaporeans haven't been to. usually we go to sentosa for the beach, isn't it? aren't you bored of that? take a trip down to underwater world, or butterfly whatever and know singapore once again. i went sentosa with my friends once and all of us acting like tourists, it sounds stupid but its a much enriching and memorable experience than doing something else common, hm? doesn't need a big bunch of peeps too, just one or two friends will suffice.
if not, check out the cool places of attractions in singapore where jay was spotted at *points to banner*

prob try wildwildwet? cosh heard it's going to be moved to sentosa soon...? rite now, i'm into playing billards (:
oh yeahs, suggestions for:
cheap movies: try clementi's Eng Wah at Empress Theatre. they charge real cheap prices, like 4 plus during weekends.but they do not do advanced bookings (:
cheap arcade: Just right beside Empress Theatre is star factory. u pay $2 for every hour u play. kinda works like the LAN system. u jus nid to press the start button and u can play till ur heart's desire (: it's the cheapest arcade i've found.

I was invited for a go-kart session before, don't ask me the place - it's far, further away from Merlion ...
Archery in Marina, don't know if it still exist.
Learn cooking in Raffles hotel, and eat in the restaurant afterwards.
Stroll around little India, the botanical garden, try all the MRT route and stop in all major stop (= shopping centres).

In Jurong, you can go for ice skating.
In small islands, you can do camping. I don't know if Saint John's island can still be used. Or you can just simply look for a yatch to go to and fro watching waters. Heheh....

hmmm.. you can actually think of some simple things to do.. and usually that does not involve a large group of people.. my friends and i always end up doing the same stuff when we have the chance to go out..
i got some suggestions here for u:
1. night cycling! you can go down to east coast park (preferably before sunset) to rent your bikes overnight. then you can cycle with your friends to various places in singapore, e.g. geylang (to eat!); changi (watch sunrise!); changi airport (watch planes taking off!) and many more others that you can think of.
2. karaoke sessions! my bunch of friends never fail to get ourselves high after we sang to our hearts' content. you can try ktv partyworld instead of k-box, which is cheaper at night and has a larger selection of songs for you to sing when it comes to english songs.
i guess thats all i can think of now. it just takes a bit of your time to go think about what you guys can do together. a few minutes of planning can go a long way! =]
