Hey, i''ve never heard of Kang Dong Won, but after looking at his pics, i do think he's cute cause of his boyish looks!! :happy: He's really tall too! wow!

I just realised that he looks a little like Luo Zhi Xiang in the 3rd pic.

I became a great fan of his after watching "Romance of their Own"...I want to try reading the novel it's based on too...

But yep, I've tried watching other stuff with him in it and he's pretty cute... :laughing: I think I fell in love with him because of his boyish looks too. But really, in some scenes in the movie, I thought he looks a lot like Luo Zhi Xiang! And there's this one scene where he looks exactly like him O_o

I downloaded and watched "Magic" which he acted in...but his character was too twisted and I couldn't figure out what was going on, so I didn't really like that series :oops:

I also downloaded "Too Beautiful to Lie" and he was very cute in that movie! I'm now trying to download "Something About 1%" because he looks good in that one too, but the download died on me. :sweat: The upcoming movie he's in, "Duelist", I've seen pictures of, but he looks very scary...I think I prefer him in the schoolboy type he was in Romance of their Own...

I am currently watching Something About 1%. It's so wholesomely fun! I adore it. Kang Dong Won is very effective as an arrogant male lead.

So far, I've watched Too Beautiful Too Lie and Temptation of the Wolves. He was so ke ai as the pepper boy on Too Beautiful to Lie then quite manly as a guy who can kick on Temptation of the Wolves. ^^

It seems different from the movie though.

Sang Doo, that seems like an interesting series, I was reading the storyline on that...but I have to go looking for it if I want to watch it... :D Song Seung Heon was the first Korean actor I was interested in ever since I started my Korean obsession! After him, I found out about Kang Dong Won, and after that, So Ji Sub...yep, Rain is not bad...I've seen some of his music videos before...and yep, hehe...Song Seung Heon wasn't in Stairways to Heaven...but in the dramas ying64 mentioned...though I don't know about Sad Sonata, I know that he was supposed to be in it, but he ended up not being in it...I think because he had to leave for the army. :cry:

Hehe, true! Korean dramas can't compare to Chinese dramas at all! yay!!! KDG movie is coming out soon...but a month seems like a long time...in a month i get 2 week of school break =_=' why cant we get longer...anywhoos...even though KDG's hair is gonna look a bit weird ...he probably is stil gonna look good anyway..

Yeah, it's hard to find "real" versions of anything unless you're in the country it's produced... :D Over here, there's usually a lot of pirated stuff...but eventually you'll learn how to tell real from pirated. As for Korean stuff, it's even harder to find because it's not that common...but it's beginning to take over! :sweat:

I guess the only option is for us to download if we can't find a hard copy of something...I first saw "Wolf's Temptation" by downloading it from bittorent...maybe you can try there? :unsure:

On our Chinese New Year Party...almost 60% of the ppl were viets... :oops:
In Austria it's almost impossible to buy asian stuff like movies or cd's...we just have some several food stores.... :oops:

i really like him in his new movie duelist.... his character is soooo cool! and i loooove the hair sooo much! i wish i have his hair in that movie.... he's sooo cute! even saying in one interview that he was sooo happy when he got the script, seeing that he doesn't have any lines... but then he got bored and ended up memorizing everybody else's lines! haha.... ^^

i just watched the movie, Temptation of Wolves... and whoah. it's my fave movie!!!! it's soooo good that i watched it thrice in a row! hahah.. and still felt for it, and cried buckets!

haha.. at first i was leaning towards Jo HanSun's character, but then Kang DongWon is just so hard to not love... especially during the last parts... awwww..

i didn't know he was the guy in Too Beautiful To Lie!!! i watched it before and thinking of watching it again. hahaha....

he's sooo charming! does he have Jap or Chi blood? cos he seems to be one.... and a little less korean. but it's okay...

My dad got a satellite installed and I have the KBS channel for America... :excited: A while ago they were showing the Blue Dragon Film Awards (unfortunately without subtitles) and I got to see Kang Dong Won on there! :happy: He was so adorable...and won quite a few awards for Duelist...I've been wanting to see that movie...has anyone seen it?

I highly recommend Temptation of Wolves / Romance of Their Own, he looked even hotter in it. And there is another hottie in it.:whistle:
If you want to watch it online, youtube has it. In fact, youtube is my new best online “friend”. In fact, there is a lot of his CM on it too.
And if you can’t find it, just let me know.

PS: Temptation of the Wolves is subtitled in Chinese. Hope it is not a problem for you.

Lisa, I would recommend A Wolf's Attraction/Romance of their Own/Wolf's Temptation (this one movie has so many different names :glug:) too! It was the first movie I saw with him in it and after that I fell in love with him... :D I think it's also one of the better movies I've seen him in...

I hope I get to see Duelist too! It seems to have won a lot of awards so it looks like it's worth watching.

Ah, I recently saw KDW in Duelist. My god... he is so hot XD and there were some scenes where his facial expressions were so cute XD (he sneezed! hehe XD) He looks gorgeous in his dark outfit and it's amazing to know that all of the sword movements were done without a stuntman O.O He's so agile!

In all, Duelist is filmed with beautiful cinematography. The fighting scenes were made to look like tango/dance while the colors and how the scenes were shot just added to the mood. Unfortunately, Duelist fell short in terms of sustaining a consistent storyline.. but if you're able to overlook that, it's actually an enjoyable movie (besides, KDW looks completely hot as a swordsman XD)

I've just finished watching The Duelist , Temptation of the Wolves (aka A Romance of their Own) and Maundy Thursday(aka Our Happy Time) and I have fallen hopelessly in LOVE with this cute and talented actor! <3

Dong Won is so versatile. He can range from the innocent, evil, cute, sexy, pensive and even unbearably miserable and that is just some of the personas he has!
