ok. I may be really wrong but I listened to the preview of the mv on alfamusic.com.
The song was playing a bit slow during the middle, around 0:24 I actually heard Jay say "Jay chou" twice. And something like "Bu hui tiao", which means "can't jump or can't dance"? The he says something like "Xun zhao jay chou". I checked his official mv from the download section of j-c.net abut he didn't have that in the mv. Btw, the website is at www.alfamusic.com.tw. The preview of the mv is the second one from the lower right.. If that does work, here's the link from alafa drifting with "Jay chou" sung in it (http://ap.ch5.tv/phpplay/play.php?noclip=1&url_id=124667&ph.asp=)

I HAVE NO IDEA BUT I HEARD "JAY CHOU." Or maybe it was because I was looking for it and heard it. No idea. LOL. This is very interesting. I didn't hear the other parts though, just "Jay Chou." I wouldn't be surprised considering he sang "Wan Mei Zhu Yi" with "Zhou Jie Lun" all over the end. oO;

yah he definitely says his name in the version on alfa...to be precise, it literally sounds like he sings "chucka chucka Jay CHOW" :D or maybe it's "check it check it" ala Yi Fu Zhi Ming.

edit: I just listened to it again, and at :24 secs he sings "jay jay jay jay chow" lol how cute

It breaks my heart that he pronounces it CHOW in English.
This version actually sounds better than the other for some reason. Maybe cuz the "de yi piao / de yi piao / de yi de piao" doesn't sound so ...CLEAR and crappy ghetto. It has more bass or something to it.

I always called him "Jay Chow" but I would write it "Jay Chou". CHOW sounds like Chow with the "ow" sound as in "owl". CHOU sounds like "Cho" with a hard "o" sound as in "low". Hope that helps.
Good, so I wasn't hallucinating. It's kind of ironic because one of my friends that isnt really good in chinese told me that it sounded like he was saying "Jay Chou" (which actually he wasn't doing in the official mv). I just laughed it off. And I also remembering Jay saying in an interview or a news article that the fans have to listen closely to hear a message. LOL So this was what he meant.[

Wow i heard it at least 3 times. Maybe he pronounces it "Jay Chow" for cantonese fans? I think you pronouce Chou as "Chow" in cantonese. correct me if i'm wrong.

Yeah, chou is pronounced "chow" in cantonese.

I'm kind of sad he pronounced it "chow" too. I always told people it's Jay Chou not Chow, since that's how he said it in Dui Bu Qi (Sorry), and I personally always liked "chou" better.

Oh well, I love it when he puts his name in songs. It's so cute!

wow! heard it too..but its not like he didnt do this before..like in the end of the song Wan Mei Zu Yi (Perfectionism) he keeps singing "zhou jie lun, zhou jie lun, zhou jie lun"..along with the music beat..
and in the Dai Bu Qi (Sorry) he sings:
紀錄第一次遇見的妳 (Jay Chou)
ji lu di yi ci yu jian de ni (Jay Chou)
Recording the first time I met you (Jay Chou)
...
altough in the drifitng one the "jay chow" thing its a bit more hidden

oh really? cuz i've been saying "chou" the "ow" way, and so has everyone else around me who isn't cantonese. chou with the "low" o sounds weird to me, hehe!

when my dad heard "perfectionism" my dad said he was really self-centered, lol.

haha i usually say jay chow too...i think it sounds nicer.
well, great discovery! i think it's so cool for him to do it! so ghetto like, and although a little american wannabe-ish, i still think it's very diao!

I heard it too! After 0:24, he sings
''oh~ohohohoh~ohohoh''
_________''jay jay jay chow''(together with ''oh-oh'')......
He sings about three times ''chow''.

In the past, i also pronounce his english name as 'Chow', but after i heard him pronounced as 'Chou', i also changed to 'chou'. I think the reason he pronounced as 'chow' is either he was influenced by cantonese(the actors were from Hong Kong) or it just sound nicer with that  .

Ingenius surprises like this makes me love Jielun more.

I was already left in awe when he made layers of sounds work so effectively in the end part of the song. and the "chucka chucka Jay Chow" makes it prettier.

I didnt hear the version where he says his name yet, but I just wanna comment on the 2 different versions of his last name; "Chou" and "Chow". I used to spelled it "Chow" cuz like hamataro mentioned; prob influence from seeing how its spelled for HK celebrities who shares the same last name, like Stephen Chow...Also, I have a friend who's parents are from HK, so his last name is spelled "Chow". Funny thing is that his first name also start with J and he kinda look a lil like Jay with the small eyes...but ever since I found out the correct way of spelling Jay's last name, I've always use "Chou" now...Either way, its a kool last name...it goes well with his first name...JC...what a kool initial...and I've always like guys whos name starts with J for some reason...

ok, I should go home and listen to this version and ck it out...
