Happy Slapping-What is it? Right or wrong?

first, for those of you who doesn't know what happy slapping is:
happy slapping is when people or a group of people go aroung and attack innocent people and they record it on their cameras. they keep it in their phone because they find it humourous. after they attack someone, they all laugh their heads off even if when the person that they have attacked is unconscience.

it happened in school first and now it is on the streets. people try much more harder attacks to challenge themselfes and to make themselfes look good.
one attack was when they kicked someone at the back. another was when a cone(not an ice-cream one) was hit around someones face leaving them unconscience and another one was when simply, someones face got slapped so hard that it left them with hearing problems.

i find it disgusting personally. :-x it happens in london and other parts of the u.k but i'm not sure if it happens in other countries that's why i put it in this thread.
it almost happened to me but because i knew what they were going to do, i froze, looked at them sternly and they left me. afterwards, i saw a coke can over flying over my head. i was almost happy slapped. since then it has affected me because i am worried about other people. they do not deserve this dispicable behaviour that they find amusing and funny. :realmad:

i would like to hear from anyone if they have been a victim or if they ARE one of those slappers.

I didn't but some of my friends did.
And then they acted it out during our Chemistry lesson, without the actual slap though :happy: and it was funny!

I see where you're getting at though. If its between people we know, a playful slap is funny. But a hard-on slap isn't right. Not at all. And with people you don't know or have the slightest connection with? Wrong. And the thing is, the happyslappers choose their victims, which is even worse.

Well, actually, wouldn't this thread be interesting if it was moved into the "Small Talk" section? Or even "Current Issues and Debate"?

Hmm.... i guess i used to do something like that. I didnt really do violent things like hitting people.... maybe friends and get it recorded for a website and video my friends created. I was young... i did stupid things like... climb on the roof of the old nursing home and jumping off to scare the old ladies :shy: yes. i regret what i did. it was wrong. but fun at the time.

It is wrong to smack randomers :shifty: but i guess it does sell in sick old england. Us scottish are different! we are all happy people :bleh:

the one wer they burn the person was jus evil, i watched it on the news yesterday aswel, damn stupidideas people come up with wats wrong with their heads, go around beatin people up and filmin it, the worse thing is dat they send it and spread it after so the person who is gettin beaten must be so embarrassed. imagine if someone happy slapped u, u wouldnt kno wat to do.

its a form of abuse man.

Okay, I'm in the USA, and I've seen this sort of stuff, and it totally disgusts me.
There's only one I laughed at.
I saw one where a bunch of stupid fcks were riding in a car, about to drive up to some children who were riding bicycles. The car was going about 30 miles an hour. Well, the passenger leans out of the window, reaches out to push the kids down, but he misses. The car keeps going, the guy slams right into a parked car.

That mofo died, I bet. Hehehehehe.

Seriously, this isn't funny stuff. Quite honestly, it's victimization, pure and simple. THERE IS NOTHING RIGHT ABOUT IT.

i guess if such things happens in singapore the people here would be facing law suit everyday. for hell sake of coz happy slapping is never right! how the hell can hurting someone else be something happy?...

but i have seen things like hitting someone hard on their birthday. for exaple if someone turns 15 today, all of his or her friends must slap him 15 times EACH. ok it might be for fun but then the guy who got hit is really innocent.... :worry:

oh well anyway, if they continue to go round happy slapping then maybe someday the victims should do it to someone else too :whistle:

hmm...i know a few people who use to have that on their phone...but im sure if they did it...hope not. (i didn't really know what it was at the time) i don't think they have it anymore tho. after the programme on tv, i didn't realise how widespread it was... sorry to hear that u nearly got 'happyslapped' princessKitty...its only funny if ur with ur friends..just being silly and no harm..but with random strangers....its not.

yeah, i did watch the programme that night but its been on my mind for quite a few weeks and i thought i would share with everyone.

yesturday, a bunch of kids, maybe 10-14 year olds almost happy slapped my freinds. one of them got their phones out and didn't do it because one of them said chicken. so my freinds thought that they were going to do it but chickened out for some reason?

and here in germany ,its famous a little bit , but some people gonna hurt of stupid peoples who make this !
