Jay's Maturity

Has anybody noticed the growth of Jay Chou's maturity?
His new music video "in the name of the father" looks much much better and a more mature form than his previous ones. *his hair actually looks good now too* :)

I think that he's matured since his Jay Album, the songs seem more refined and controlled, and it seems to have grown, in his music, and in him as a person. His new album, i think, might be one of his most matured works up to date, it was already a change from his Jay album to 8-d, and i think he will continue to take it up one step after another, since i would think that he's grown not only physically, but mentally, and emotionally as well, throughout the years, and in his music, he wll show it to us.

agree... he is more matured now. his music has improved too. alot different favours in it. But he is still playful. He will be 25 next year. The boy is going to grow up one day. No matter how playful he is.. But i thought he always got the good boy look.. looks like he turned "bad" in the new album... gangsta style, brown hair and lots of hugging with girls... :crazy:

yea i think this happens with a lot of other artists if you compare their first album to the most recent album. i'm enjoying this change in jay though cause i think its a change for the better. hes growing and exploring his own style and pushing the boundaries and not afraid to conform to the mainstream pop culture and you can tell in his work. his first album was mainly mellow tunes and now hes exploring all these other hidden areas. its kind of exciting. PLUS hes looking a LOT better than his first album! :love:

yep he is getting more mature.....his style...his song lyrics....and.......his thoghts and stuff......how he answers questions..but he still has the kiddy jokey voice..sometimes.... i ilke watching him being interviewed..just love his answers and hes funny sometimes...makes my day ^^....his age ...yea..well he'll be 25..he needs to be a lil bit more mature lol....he is already...and is good at that..go jay!

he's really more matured and is becoming more comfortable in front of the media.. he's better at answering irritating questions re: he and jolin and dealing with paparazzis..

i saw on a recent interview of him by tao zi and he was telling her he dun hate paparazzis as much as before as he tries to put himself in their shoes and felt that they are also doing it for a living, to feed their families ... so thoughtful! :rolleyes:

ive noticed. i think hes just gotten his own style, like a more comfortable him. and he can be himself and the critics and everyone would be happy. he just seems like hes more at home with himself, so he can be more outgoing. does that make any sense at all? >_<

i agree with reissee. he's much quicker at answering the reporter's questions (good or bad) at least in the few interviews that i've seen. but it's not a surprise to see him mature, especially musically. i like his new look in yi fu zhi ming. "very manly" if i can say that. however, his playful boyish side is always a breath of fresh air.

his more mature of course coz he's growing up...i think there's a lot of changes he made from the first album until Ye Hui Mei..and i think the changes is like a process of his maturity..and the changes is good..like jay said music is his life so i think he must be really personal with his album and it's gonna make him more mature everytime he make album..well that's my opinion..

yeah....he's more at ease in interviews (though still shy at times)....he takes the initiative when interacting with hosts on tv and like more interested in the interview....but the most obvious was through his music.....no more cutesy songs like jian dan ai or xing qing, he has moved on to deeper, more heart-felt songs like qing tian and dong feng po.....this is the most obvious sign of his maturity in my opinion......but i think he is still a shy boy and likes to fool around when off-screen with his staffs ( esp Ding Dang)......... :happy:

Of course he's getting more mature! We're all getting more mature as we age, aren't we? But I know what Larry's saying... his STYLE has obviously matured. I guess more personalized, professional styling comes with more album sales. Makes sense, doesn't it? I think his music has matured a lot too. The songs in "Jay" are all relatively similar to some extent... The variety in "Yei Hui Mei" definitely reflects the growth of his music. Gotta love his musical maturity!

i have never really thought of jay as immature before, though i can say that he has matured alot. partly because he has been in the music industry for about 5 years already. as a singer, he has been through so many things and changes and through those experiences, he has matured in terms of music, style and personality. you can really see a big difference--improvement, actually--from his early days up til now.

I think even though he's going with the beard and aged look, he's still some what a kid at heart.. He likes to pick and tease on people (i.e. Ding Dang).. he gave Lee Hom some friendly shots when shaking hands with him when Lee Hom won best producer..

That's personality wise.. appearance wise, I think it's very scattered.. some days he'll wear fly glasses with this big coat on and we're all sitting back going, "WHAT THE HELL was he thinking.." whereas some days he'll wear nice dress shirt and stylish jeans (i.e. one2free hk opening), and all the girls will be like :brows: :wave:
