Innumerable arguments are still going on as to whether what city should
officially possess the disputed title "The World's Most Romantic City" :?
It's a highly arguable title,alright.
So what city do you think should be declared by the media and various travel agencies as the world's most romantic city? :hmm:
It's up to you, people.Even if you hadn't been to one of these cities, don't hesitate to vote; don't let your judgement be left behind.
Here are the frontrunners for the title:

Rome
Sorry if the pictures I've chosen weren't too good.
But you can always use your extra knowledge about these cities. :wink2:
So,which one? :?
My personal choice is Paris.
The Eiffel Tower, the Notre Dame de Paris, the Pampidou fountain, :-)
the Opera House, the Sacre Coueur, the Moulin Rouge, :wink2:
the cool restos serving delectable French cuisine,
the wonderful views, its beautiful landmarks, the moonlight over Paris. :shiny:
Everything about this city seems so romantic.
If only Venice is not too flooded and Rome is not too old-fashioned. :brows:
I think a gondola ride in Venezia or a sight-seeing in Roma will always be romantic.
Talk about those grandeur renaissance buildings and these citites' mystique histories... :bleh:

Paris will be by -far hands down.. really, who's been to these other places? We just have a mindset of Paris being romantic because of media. :) But I bet it is too.. I'm just saying that I wouldn't turn down a trip to Rome anyday.
Plus you should really get better pics of Venice and Rome, those pictures don't do them justice! :)

Actually I think Prague's the most romantic, but I 'accidentally' voted Venice....oh well, Venice okay too... I love the Renaissance-ish atmosphere they bring.... :wink2: My aunt told me Paris is beautiful but you have to be cautious in order not to step on doggy's poo.

Try Taipei.
Jay lives there so its the most romantic city.
Ive thought of the choices above being romantic, but its the people you spend your time there with is what really counts isnt it?
I'd pick Paris by the way, french is just so sexy.

I had a chances to go to Paris twice. For the first time i didn't like Paris at all, I think People there are not friendly and Paris is not quite clean and neat. But when i went back there second time, first day I still didn't like Paris. Though I had spent more times there then i began realizing that this city is really beautiful and very romantic. I fall in love deeply with this city really. When I looked around, its places are built in same colour tone ; brown colour like wherever you go is fall season. I aslo saw the lovers are holding hands and walking along the beautiful road. The gorgeous shopping road. The more I was there, the more I want to come back here again and again. I wish I would go back to Paris again :D.
Ps. I also have heard that Rome is very beautiful too. I agree with this, I 'm gonna go there one day. Maybe it is different only the atmosphere.
Bon Voyage !! :D

Venice? I am afraid of water. Maybe I was drown in my previous life. I can swim, but was afraid of what is underneath.
Paris might be a better place. Rome is full of history. All very beautiful place. I wish there will be a chance for me to go (with my lover? I don't have one yet.).

Although I haven't been to any of those cities, I chose Paris. Maybe because it's known as the city of romance, but there's just something so romantic about Paris. And the French way of saying 'I love you' is so sexy.

i picked Paris, but i have learned all of these cities culture in my humanities and french class and have to said that they're all very romantic cities. Also, Paris is indeed a very romantic city, because people in Paris would just kiss beside the Seine River and talk or walk beside it on their date, and spend a very long time eating their meal.

a lot of people choose paris because of its popularity and the media. but when my friends went, they said that there's a lot of dog crap on the sidewalks and roads. they said they should've gone with a tourist group instead of going by themselves. =P
anyways, i chose venice. hahah, it just sounds romantic =)

I chose Venice over Paris because I just like the water-based city more. I think it's more romantic. Imagine just strolling down the river on one of the boats slowly, with the sunset as a backdrop. And with so many resturants along the riverside, you can eat dinner for hours and have wine while chatting the night away. I can't wait for the day that I visit Venice!

Actually, I was torn between Paris and Venice but then I choose Venice because if I were in Paris, I would surely busy shopping that I might not even have much time to enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the city :)
i voted for venice :D i would love to go there! the houses on water just does it for me :) i think paris is lovely but there's too much people :(

Yeha i love Paris too..
The Eiffel Tower.. a thousand foot Phallus... Romantic haha.
Yeah i think the Stars and the Lights and the Moon up high is really Romantic.. Me and my... ex (Cough) went on a Ferris wheel and that was really really good.
The french have really bad manners though.
Although most French people learn English as a Second language and can speak it Fluently they will NEVER speak English.
There way of things is if YOU dont speak French to them then they wont reply to you.. Even if you speak English they will speak FRENCh to you..
My French is REally really Broken haha..
Cnatt speak French for shizzle...
The Retuarants are really really good though.
Since France is known as a Country of Machoism and Womanizing i guess the whole Romantic thing suits it..
anyway Da Vinci Code Moment the Lourve and the Arc De Carousel i reckon is pretty Romantic.. Hands up all who like Giant Glass Pyrimids.. I!
btw jsut my PErsonal Opinion the French language is Dirty and Broken.. Its not a really great language.
Did you know it used to be the International language of the world.. Until English haha..
The French still think that their "Wonderful" Language should be the best but ehh.. If 1Billion Chinese people recognise English as a International Language then France doesnt have a Chance in Hell :D:D
Rome isnt really that Romantic.. Maybe if you were a Artist or a History Scholar haha.
Venice is really really nice..
Little cute bridges and roads. Gondola Rides.
people singing.. .Italian haha.. Ice creams..
Imagine Gelatissimo all over the place haha.'
Still the water is kinda polluted..
and it Floods every few weeks..

I say Qingdao China because my best friends that are girls are there and I go out with them when I have the change to see them. I live in the U.S so I can't really see them often, only the summers.
imagine a lazy gondola ride surrounded by the soothing song of the boatman floating about your ears. You pass under an intricately sculpted bridge that temporarily blocks out the ringing blue sky. This is the "Bridge of Sighs" and as you pass it the boatman tells you the story of it's name ...
this bridge connects the courtroom and the prison. as a prisoner is brought from the courtroom to the prison over this bridge, he looks down at the sparkling waters and beautiful city and sighs - thinking of the freedom and joy that he has forfeited. so many prisoners, so many sighs
... the story ends, the boatman continues his song, but your mind remains on that bridge, and you think of those prisoners and their story
~~~
This is the romance of Venice
