Edmonton, Alberta, in Canada? :brows: Here i can not get many of Jay's merchandise, but i have ordered it off Yes Asia, or my friends have bought me his calendar in 2004 from Vancouver or Calgary for me for my birthday. lately hearing the news about him and Patty has gotten me sort of hurt. I am very happy that he found such a beautiful girlfriend, but i am also a little bit sad that he's taken. what're your views on that issue?

I'm from Calgary! Close enough? xD I have a Jay Chou poster, and that's about it. I can't find much here either. Where did your friend get the calendar?! I want it!! >_<;; They sell his DVDs here too, but I never bought them cuz I'm broke! haha
Yeah, it sucks that Jay is taken :( but as long as he's happy right?! =D Patty and Jay are a cute couple ^^
la0sgurl: i'm from calgary too!! which part of calgary are you in?
i think that jay and patty make a really nice couple too~ they really match...all my jay stuff is from hk as i have relatives there who can get them for me ^^ i've seen lots of fake jay stuff around here like compilations of a mixture of his songs all on one cd and lots of fake jay dvds of his MVs...i don't really know where you can get the real stuff so i just stick to asking my relatives to get stuff for me from hk ^^

I'm from the SE. xD Lucky you, I don't have any relatives in China, or.. at least none that I know of! I saw Jay Chou DVDs at Pacific Place. I don't know whether or not anything is authentic xD How old are you b^la? I'm 16 ^^
i'm 15- and i'm in SW Calgary i believe- i'm not so sure lol ^^ Pacific Place- isn't that where that massive supermarket is? Dai Tung Wah or something..i dunno what the english name is! If it's the place that i'm thinking of, that's where i've seen all that fake Jay stuff! So far, I don't think i've seen anything authentic from there!

China Town to order? *gasp How do you do that?! Haha yeah Pacific Place has TnT supermarket in it if that's what you're talking about, and the bowling alley and stuff. How do you know if something is authentic or not? Does China Town have authentic stuff? I bought a poster from there, and that's the only Jay Chou thing I have! T_T I wish I had more~ What do you guys have?
Actually, I just went to Pacific Place today and I was thinking whether I'd see any JCNET people ^^ although I really wouldn't know what you guys looked like so I wouldn't know if I saw you guys >< anyway, I don't have any Jay Chou stuff- only all his CDs and also 'The One' Concert VCD- I don't have any posters or anything :(
Well...I think fake stuff just looks fake- like the printing and stuff would be grainy..also I imagine that there would be like 'Alfa Music' logos on authentic stuff- although nowadays, fake stuff copy authentic stuff exactly so they could print the logos on fake stuff too ><!
A lot of the Jay stuff I see in Pacific Place are not actually real 'Jay Products' as in when he released 'Incomparable to Jay' and etc, you'll hear about it. There will be autograph signings and reviews and you can buy them off yesasia but the stuff I see in Pacific Place, I've never heard of before. Basically, people just compiled a bunch of mvs or a bunch of songs and then stuck them on a CD and used a random Jay photo as an album cover. A lot of the time, fake compilation CDs include songs which aren't sang by Jay!

Hi Edmonton-ers :-)
Sorry for interrupting your convo.. I just have a question that's unrelated :shy: .. What is a popular/common bank in Edmonton?? I am just planning on opening a bank account.. and I might end up going to Edmonton in Sept so if I do go, I want to be able to have access to my account there too

calgary SW here.
i love buying the cheap DVDs from that mall that T&T is in. or the one downtown.
my friend once bought a jay CD from there and then we open it to find out it's a GUY SINGING KARAOKE to jay's songs and not jay at all!!! pfft.
but sometimes when you buy stuff you're luckier than normal and you get a few songs that are actually jay songs with the right videos for karaoke, but most of the time it's some random video and sometimes it's not even a song that jay sings! i don't have enough money to order stuff off yes-asia, so i get my relatives in taiwan to send stuff to me.
i'm going to go to u of a though in september!!! does anybody here go to u of a? what exciting stuff is there to do in edmonton?
hey bonbon i don't know if you check this but i'm from edmonton alberta tooo! it's pretty bunk here, yaa only like china town theres places to buy jay chou stuff at the movie outlet, my friend works there. ahha.

I think the movie outlet is on the corner and close by T & T Optical. If thats the one, theres one in the south side too. At least I'm pretty sure it's called the movie outlet too heh. Not sure if that was much help =\
:-) :-) :-) :-)
I'm soooo happy! A friend of mine in Taiwan bought me November's Chopin, and it includes a bonus VCD that has some of his MVs. =)
It also has a calendar with pictures of him and he looks so great in them. hehe.
I didn't know where to post this, so I just decided to post in here

^yeah, I'm still depressed...and the rivalry goes on hehehehe ;) Ours next year!!!
I'm actually a bit surprised that this thread was not active at all during our run...where were all you Oiler fans? I seemed to be the only one with a banner cheering us on....*evil glare*
chu_bear the 'flower market' thing? ours kind of sucks...I usually don't buy anything there because the posters are kind of ugly and all the CDs are so fake...Movie Outlet is insanely expensive and they don't sell the stuff I want...

eeep i didn't realize this thread existed.
i live in edmonton during the school year and i go to the u of a!!!
i'm not a big fan of oilers and i lost interest after flames dropped out hahaha.
yeah i'm from calgary, but i'm growing attached to edmonton.
but question for people who live in edmonton:
what is there to DO?
can you recommend some exciting activities for around edmonton preferably somewhere that i can to by transit?
