I was only in the airport for 2 hours on my way from U.S. to Malaysia and for 6 hours on my way from Malaysia to U.S. I wish I'd spent two months in Korea! And I actually only spent 3-1/2 weeks in Malaysia. Oh, and one day in Singapore. :rolleyes:

I used to be crazy about KSW, but not anymore. So I'm not sure I wanted to rip that poster off. :rolleyes:

Aigoo, SW oppa has been busy shooting his latest movie that he only left messages for his fans recently (check it out at sangwoo4ever.com).

Well, I'm kinda dissapointed that he's keeping those busy moustache for the movie but I'm not that fussy about his long hair anymore. I've been watching STH again and he looks so amazingly good in it.

KwonSangWoo and GongHyunJu prepare to go to Australia and Sydney together.

This travel is for 'Biltmore' winter new product pictorial photography. KSW-GHJ will leave on 6th and stay there for 5 days 4 nights.

GHJ is chosen by an advertisement model in past April and has finished one TV CF photography with KSW already. This CF will have a large-scale blowup scene and chase scene: it is planning to aim at an autumn market of clothes and be broadcast through cable in this coming September.

I can safely say this is one of the worst ever sported looks. EVER. Oppa needs to change his fashion adviser!

The MV 'Any Motion 2' will be the super casting work in Korea.

It said "Lee Hyolee, Eric, Rain and Kwon Sangwoo are great possibilities to act roles in MV 'Any Motion 2'" "the concrete items of this MV are still in discussion.

KSW collaborates with Japanese actress Okuda Erik in the new CF of thefaceshop. A 4 days and 5 nights trip in Prague for shooting the new CF began on the 27th.

In the CF, SW performs a scene in which he falls in love at first sight. KSW meets with violin player Okuda Erik unexpectedly. SW is attracted by the skill and appearance of Okuda Erik. SW looks at her photo and listens to the music at the same time, immerse in remembering. This CF will be broadcast on the 20th.

Meli, Rach and Dana, I don't know how to describe the missing factor in Anyclub but it looks uncomplete to me.. The flow is not as smooth as Anymotion but the song is addictive.

I don't want SW to go for Hyori (and Eric for that matter) but I melted when I saw SW-sshi's 'lusty' look at Hyori in the club. You know, the same look he gave to Jeong Seo in Stairway to Heaven? That "I'm into you" kind of stare?? Aigoo...

Anymotion was a much simpler story than Anyclub. I think they just compressed the story line, which is a complicated web of stories into a 15 minute thing. They had to put much dancing in it too so thus the lack of time to explain the story further. They had trouble highlighting Sang woo and Eric's part to, I think.

Hi! So I definitely turned on the tv at 11 pm and watced an episode of "Stairway to Heaven"...I think it's near the end though. *sigh* It was dubbed in Mandarin...I'm fluent in Canto. A Korean friend can't stand my watching of Korean dramas, hahah, o'well. But anyway, I continued to watch the episode because Kwon Sang Woo is so charming and um.....cocky(?), love him!!!

The information I got from Face Shop for members is that if you spend $160 or more, you can meet up with Sang Woo... But I didnt check it out because I got nothing to buy at the Face Shop at the moment... And $160 is too much for me!

Here's the updated news of Sangwoo schedule in Singapore.

Fan Meeting : Sang Woo will pick 10 winners (from the fanclub and public) from a Lucky Draw. These 10 winners will receive a T-shirt where they will go on stage and receive a autograph from Sang Woo and will also be able to take ONE personal photo with Sang Woo.

Sang Woo will pick 6 winners (3 from the fanclub and 3 from public) from a Lucky Draw. These 6 people will go on a HIPPO bus tour with Sang Woo personally.

There will also be a group photo taken with Sang Woo.

$160 is in SGD. And its about 100USD.

11USD is considered very cheap already. I can't afford to buy $160 worth of face shop products. Most of their products are also not exactly very expensive so you will have to purchase lots of their products.

Here's the updated news of Sangwoo schedule in Singapore.
Fan Meeting : Sang Woo will pick 10 winners (from the fanclub and public) from a Lucky Draw. These 10 winners will receive a T-shirt where they will go on stage and receive a autograph from Sang Woo and will also be able to take ONE personal photo with Sang Woo.
Sang Woo will pick 6 winners (3 from the fanclub and 3 from public) from a Lucky Draw. These 6 people will go on a HIPPO bus tour with Sang Woo personally.
There will also be a group photo taken with Sang Woo.

Come Sunday , Korean heart-throb Kwon Sang Woo will arrive bright and early on his first South-east Asian promo tour.

Like a whirlwind, he will sweep across the island - from Changi Airport in the east to IMM in the west and Marina Square in the south.

He is here to plug The Face Shop (TFS), a skincare range synonymous with his name since 2004.

In a media release, Sang Woo said he felt happy and excited to visit Singapore and would do his best to make his fans happy.

The New Paper understands that he will be accompanied by a relatively small entourage of five - his manager, hair stylist, makeup artist and two TFS executives.

He will arrive on SQ151 at 9am and will meet the local media at 11am.

After lunch - apparently he has no special requests except to try local dishes such as chicken rice and bak kut teh - he will meet his fans.

A two-hour gathering for 1,200 fans is planned at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, but you must purchase $160 worth of TFS products to gain entry.

It is set to be a fun-filled session since Sang Woo, unlike most mild-mannered Korean hunks, is known to be humorous and even cheeky at times.

A belated birthday celebration is also planned - he turned 30 on
5 Aug - so fans can start learning how to sing 'Happy Birthday' in Korean.

Some lucky fans will also get to question the star of hit drama Stairway To Heaven and take photos with him.

OGLE FOR FREE

Those who prefer to ogle him for free can either pop into IMM at 5.30pm on Sunday or Marina Square at 1pm on Monday . He will be visiting the TFS outlets there.

On Monday, he will also attend closed-door events organised by the Singapore Tourism Board before leaving at 10.35pm on OZ752.

'Marry me', her poster read. But when Kwon Sang Woo shushed the 5-year-old, little Joey couldn't hold back her tears

JOEY Lim is only 4 1/2 years old, but she was all set to be a bride.
She dressed the part - in a white satin dress with a tiara and veil.

Her hand-written sign said: Marry Me.

Her target: 30-year-old Korean hunk of an actor, Kwon Sang Woo.

'I want to marry him because he's gentle and handsome. I want to dance with him!' the chirpy little Singaporean told The New Paper yesterday.

Apparently the precocious tyke was smitten after watching Sang Woo cup the face of his lover in the television melodrama, Stairway To Heaven, three months ago.

But he broke Joey's heart - although unintentionally - and left her sobbing for a good 20 minutes at his fan gathering at a Ritz-Carlton Hotel ballroom yesterday afternoon .

Sang Woo is in town for two days until tonight to plug the Korean skincare chain, The Face Shop (TFS).

When told the news two weeks ago by her mum, Mrs Jas Lim, 40, Joey was excited. It inspired Mrs Lim to make two placards and dress Joey up as a bride for the event.

Detractors may argue that she was using her daughter to attract attention, but she insisted she was only trying 'to show in every way how special Kwon Sang Woo is, that even a small girl can like him'.

When The New Paper spoke to Joey, the little chatterbox seemed sure that she wanted to tell her idol 'I love you'.

Jumping about excitedly, she was not at all shy.

And she screamed Sang Woo's name out at least five times from below the stage, despite the ballroom being packed with 1,500 noisy fans.

But she crumbled when he looked at her and tried to silence her by lifting his finger to his lips.

Laughter broke among the audience.

But Joey thought everyone was laughing at her and she burst into tears. She just kept sobbing and stamping her foot.

Even when the emcee finally asked Joey to go on stage, she did not budge.

When the event ended 30 minutes later, she was still crying on her mum's lap.

It was a heart-breaking sight for many. Two women actually offered Mrs Lim a ticket to an orchid-naming ceremony for Sang Woo this morning.

The New Paper coaxed Joey to stop crying and we drove to IMM in Jurong East, where Sang Woo was scheduled to open a new TFS outlet.

We convinced her to give her dream man a second chance, but she replied: 'It's not second chance. I will give him 100,000 chances!'

But the mother-daughter duo were unable to squeeze through a massive 4,000-strong crowd to get to the shop front.

But Mrs Lim said she will get up early today to go to TFS at Marina Square with Joey to wait for Sang Woo, who is scheduled to make an appearance there at 1pm.

Besides Joey, many other fans - who are much older - were also disappointed after waiting for about four hours under the blazing sun outside the hotel - only to see their idol for a brief 30 minutes.

Each of them had to buy $160 worth of TFS products to gain entry, which was supposed to last two hours.

Fans were told they could play games with their idol and take a group photo with him.

But the photo session was cancelled as Sang Woo was not feeling well. (See report above.)

Bank officer Ghayathri Mohan, 24, said she was close to tears as she had little time to ogle at her idol with the 'kissable lips, cheeky smile and good body'.

'We know (Sang Woo) had cough and cold, and we want to be understanding, but we're still upset because it ended so fast.'

But another fan, secretary May Tan, 30, said: 'His health is more important. It's not fair to force him to take pictures with us when he's not feeling well.'

Stomach flu bugs Sang Woo

HIS face is pale and his voice so soft it would give you the shivers.

Unlike his macho screen image, Korean star Kwon Sang Woo seemed a lot more delicate when he met the local media yesterday.

The reason? He was still suffering from a stomach ache that hit him on Saturday, when he was in Indonesia for promotions.

Yesterday morning, he also caught the flu bug and was sniffling away.

Ms Doreen Kho, who owns The Face Shop (TFS) here, said her Korean counterparts informed her about Sang Woo's illness at 2am yesterday .

There was talk of cancelling the Singapore tour, but Ms Kho said the actor was 'professional enough to put up a brave front'.

But he had to cancel a group photo session as it would have been too taxing.

'Off stage, you could hardly see him smile. He was pale and looked uncomfortable,' Ms Kho said.

'In the car, he would lean back and rest. He looked exhausted.'

She added that he had asked for flu medication, but insisted he did not want anything that would make him drowsy.

After appearing at IMM in Jurong East yesterday evening, the actor skipped a seafood dinner and returned to his hotel to rest.

Hopefully, he will recover in time for an orchid-naming ceremony at the Botanic Gardens this morning. This makes him the second Korean star after Bae Yong Koon to have an orchid named after him.

Sang Woo is also set to visit Clarke Quay and the Merlion in a series of Singapore Tourism Board activities.

Fans can catch him at the TFS outlet at Marina Square at 1pm today.

He returns to Korea tonight.

Gentle giant

He may be a superstar, but Korean hunk Kwon Sang Woo is as demure as they come


KWON Sang Woo (picture) may have proved how manly he is by playing bad boys in movies like My Tutor Friend and Running Wild, but little of that masculinity was on display when he was in town yesterday.

The 30-year-old South Korean actor is here as part of a whirlwind Asian tour as the spokesman for cosmetics company The Face Shop. He will have an orchid named after him in a ceremony at the Singapore Botanic Gardens today.

During a press conference at a downtown hotel, he was almost preternaturally soft-spoken and laughed in the gentlest of tones.

It didn't help his image when he said things like: "My schedule is very packed for this trip. So, I make sure to use a mask from The Face Shop twice a week."

Maybe he should just stick to leading man roles in romantic dramas, which was how he made his name in the first place. A former model, he shot to fame after appearing in the top-rated TV drama Stairway to Heaven. He also established a reputation for being able to turn on the tears easily.

"When I first read the script for Stairway to Heaven, it touched my heart. When you have that sort of feeling, the tears just flow easily," he said through an interpreter.

"I cried a lot when I was young but I don't really cry much anymore. When I was a kid, I'd cry when I lost a fight with a friend, but I also cried when I won."

And then he punctuated the self-deprecating joke with a barely-audible chuckle.

The fair one — his porcelain skin was so flawless it would make any woman envious — was supposed to be feeling unwell, but he fielded the media's questions with good humour.

He demurred over all the talk of his good looks, claiming "there are many other men in Korea who are handsome too".

But not every handsome actor can boast the kind of physique that Kwon has. In fact in My Tutor Friend, his perfectly muscled body nearly stole the show.

"I actually don't like to show off my body. I'll only go along with the director's request if I really have to," he said.

"Even before I entered this industry, working out was my hobby. It's just that people appreciate my body now that I'm actually in the industry. But working out for me is still something I do to relieve stress."

While Kwon has told the Japanese media that he is still not ready for marriage, he said that being 30 has given him a new perspective on life.

"Some people don't like the ageing process but I'm comfortable with being older. I feel more responsible as a person. I've become more considerate and more thoughtful."

OMG.....I should have came here sooner.Shame on me for not declaring my love for oppa.Kwon Sang Woo ahh,I first saw him in Volcano High & thought that he was cute.

But after I saw Stairway To Heaven,it was over.Like millions of fans around the world who saw that drama.I also became addicted to him.

I spent quite a sum of money on his dvds already & it was very well worth it.The latest movie I saw from him was Almost Love & I love the nude bathroom scene lol.:shy: But it turned out to be a seriously sad & inspiring movie.:cry:

Overall,he's probably one of the most beautiful asian guys that I've ever seen not to mention all that overflowing charm & charisma!!!
