Taiwanese group Energy has been accused by Kpop fans again this time for plagiarizing Seven’s hit song “Come Back To Me.” Energy’s recently released “Some Year, Some Month, Some Day” was judged by Seven fans to be too similar to Seven’s song. It was also mentioned that Energy had been the same group who had copied Shinhwa and JTL before. However YG Entertainment revealed on July 11 that Energy were given permision to remix the song and use it as their own as they did to 1TYM’s “One Love” and “1TYM” before

here energy GOES again. why the hell can't they stop using other people's songs? i mean seriously, do they have any songs that are truly their *own* and not a cover?? if everyone just sings everyone *else's* hit songs, whats the point? we'd all be listening to basically one person/group.

Please Come Back is a damn good song by Se7en. the thing with Energy is that they know which songs to copy. i used to like them but now it's slowly fading....

no matter how good the songs they copy, it still wont establish an identity for them except 'the boyband that covers every hit song out there'

Alas it's a sad thing that they continue to cover their asses with er, covers....^^;;
though I do believe that they have vocal talent and their dancing talent is apparent they seriously need some orginal songs. It's obvious that it's getting rather annoying to Kpop fans and you wonder as artists if they're sick and tired of do a majority of covers.

Another question that comes to mind is that, do they really have a say in what songs they DO sing? Or is it really more of a "the company says sing this cover, and so do as we say" which is also common with boybands like these, but sheesh if that's the case get new management or drop yer label. :oops:

At least they can sing the song well eventhough they copy it.
Maybe thier director the one who ask them to copy.
They won't do it without a proper excuses.

There seems to be some sort of contract disagreement thingy going on with Energy. Anyone has details ? Something involving Toro, I think. I caught a bit of news on TV and he was crying his eyes out during an autograph session and the fans were also crying ! :o

Yep. I even saw the entertainment news when they came to promote their album as guest stars, there's no Toro!!!!!!!!!! :oops: Poor Energy...Milk and Toro were crying so sadly...

ok, its a dispute between their record company and the management company. Milk, Ah di, Shuwei and Kunda want to cancel their contracts with their management company, becoz of some money matters. (its either about not getting their deserved payment or late payment...i ain't sure) and they want their managing rights to go to their record company (Universal Music). However, Toro feels tt they shouldn't "betray" the pple who brought them into the industry, those who helped them, and does not want to terminate his contract with the managing company. so there are like 2 camps to the whole saga. and Toro is juz stuck between everything. One side is his good friends, and the other is his benefactor.

For events tt the managing company arranged, Toro and the manager was the only ones tt turned up, and for their album promotions, only 4 of them went, Toro was apparently sick in hospital. Now their record company is contemplating legal action against Toro +management company, coz its in the record company's contract tt every member has to be present for album promotions.

And now Toro's has some emotional problems in addition to his health problems coz he can't understand why his good friends( the other 4) are suddenly so hostile to him. LIke one moment they are all sleeping in the bus during a break in filming. the next, he found himself alone sleeping and the others did not bother to wake him up. this sort of problems, so he expressed tt he couldn't take it anymore.

Yeah...they're splitting up for real.....Toro is going on a solo career, he has actually become 5566's "shi di"...but they won't be singing or acting together though...It would be weird without Toro but I guess we would just have to get used to it.
Anyway, I don't really blame Energy for copying Kpop songs...i think it's their director or something who made them do it...besides, it was a remix version...I guess there is always space for improvisation...I dunno...

Well maybe Energy is not very original in their own way...and I actually
had no idea they kept remaking songs of Kpop like se7evn and stuff,
but I still like them a lot..I duno why, I think it's cuz they are all so cute
and they can dance really well and really sweet in person (I've seen
them live in taiwan many times) and also other artists copy songs too,
but maybe not as much as Energy...I will still stay true fan of them :happy:
