Even though he caught the cold, Jay still maintained his quality last night in his concert. He was singing and dancing on stage, he even performed martial arts and played basketball. The audience couldn’t have discovered that he was ill.
After the concert had ended, Jay said that he was really nervous for this time's concert and maybe it was this reason he could fall ill more easily. Before he went on stage he was worried about his own condition. But when he stepped on stage he forgot about all the ailments. In the 3 hours he performed there wasn't any feeling of wanting to vomit and have loose bowels.
Yesterday night Jay sang two songs by other people. They were Faye Wong"s "I Am Willing" and Leslie Cheung's Cantonese song "Chase". A lot of people criticize Jay when he sings Cantonese for not pronouncing words clearly. But this night when Jay sang a Cantonese song, maybe it was because he wanted to avoid singing it wrong, he particularly pronounced the words clearly. A lot of people praised him for singing even more clearly than he does in Mandarin. Jay said that a lot of his friends in Taiwan like this song "Chase". And for singing this song Jay sang this song whenever he had free time. Originally he was supposed to sing and play at the same time but he apologised indicating that if he wanted to play he couldn't sing. But later he played and sang Faye Wong's "I Am Willing".
Even though he was obstructed by the limited space in The Red Disco which was why he couldn't bring the big stage and the wiring to Hong Kong. But Jay said that because in the Red Disco the distance with the audience is very close so the atmosphere is a bit better. Even though this night there wasn't a definite time for hand shaking but every time Jay came close to the edge of the stage the fans took their opportunity to give him presents. There was a fan that gave him an overcoat. He immediately put it on, it made the fan very excited.
The reporters asked him why they didn't see his friend Jolin this night, he said: "Friends in Taiwan have seen my concert before, this time I will mainly be inviting friends from Hong Kong to watch." But, his father will come to Hong Kong these 2 days to admire his concert.
A lot of stars came. There were Hacken Lee, Monica Lo, rumoured boyfriend and girlfriend Edison Chen and Niki Chow. Also there were Irene Wan, Mango Wong and Roy Chow. That night the only star guest was Jay's good friend Liu Geng Hong. The two played a desperate fight, Liu Geng Hong suddenly took off his jacket to reveal tight muscles. This time's concert, Jay wanted to invite Andy Lau and Jacky Cheung to be star guests but because they are both in Mainland China so he thought of the idea of singing their songs in different ways.
Jay had to take a rebound to score when playing basketball. He said: "Really nervous, I have taken pills for my gastroenteritis but I am still not better yet, before the show I was scared it will affect my performance but when I got on stage I forgot about it. (Why didn't you take off your clothes to reveal your muscles?) Because of pressure I have become skinnier, no muscles, right now I am only 60 kilograms, in the past I was 63 kilograms.
