here's a news on her:"Lizzie McGuire" star Hilary Duff finished recording her solo album, named "Metaphorosis," and will be released on August 26th. This is after the "Lizzie" soundtrack, which features Duff on her single "Why Not," went gold. However, she will not be filming any more "Lizzie" episodes or movies because Disney could not offer her enough money last month.
my opinion on her, i think she's okay, though her song " why not" is very annoying. Her movie was well, also okay, the beginning didn't really make sense, and the climax was kinda predictable to me and with a happy ending. hey that remind me something, she even have her own clothes line.
Soooo..... what do u guys think about her? her movie? her music?

in my opinion....she cant sing for life....theres absolutely no vibrato goin on when she sings...and her voice seems a bit flat and not going with the rhythm<--(spelling bad i think)her Lizzy shows are good b/c of Matt her "lil bro" but without him the show wouldnt be funny....and Lizzy acts pretty good i guess.....

just on the basis of looks, she annoys the hell out of me..it thought it was very interesting that she did not re-sign her contract with disney or whoever produces her lizzy maguire show (i don't keep up with her life! this was in "entertainment weekly"!) but i don't know, she's much younger than me which is probably why i don't bother paying attention to anything about her.
I personally don't like Hilary Duff. I admit her show is okay, I've wached it a few times out of lack of nothing else to watch, and it wasn't THAT bad. Her acting is okay... But her singing. OMG. Her singing is TERRIBLE. She comes out with the most annoying songs you can possibly imagine (Her "Hey now" song... I wanted to stab myself) and anyone that gets her album is crazy. She has absolutely no tune when she sings and I noticed that they play the instruments louder than her voice in certain songs to cover it up -____-;;
Everyone's going to know Hillary Duff as Lizzie McGuire for the rest of her acting career, probably, because that's where she became famous. Too bad she thought herself too high for that show anymore and the pay was too low. It was the only half-decent thing about her =P
her shows are very funny! hahah i watch them sumtimes when im bored.
haven't really heard her new song, just in the commercial, and hmmmm.... i dunno...
well i guess she is quite cool for doing so much at a young age. And she's not too annoying like other young stars.

she bugs me so much! in my opinion, lizzie mcguire is totally lame, especially the titled character. like azndreamer88 said, its only kind of funny because of Matt. and she doesnt have much skill when it comes to singing... she can KIND OF carry a tune, but her voice only works for karaoking.
honestly, i dont see any reason why she's as famous as she is now except for her looks, which isnt too bad. although i dont like her either, i think amanda bynes is better

I watch her tv show on and off...I don't follow it religiously or anything. Personally looks wise, she's qute cute with a very nice smile. haven't heard her songs tho'. Didn't even know she could sing...does she write her own songs?

Are you serious?? Hillary going out with Aaron carter??? Whoaaa.... so compatible. I think it's because Aaron guest starred in her show once. I watched it some time ago, and on that show, Hillary got a kiss from Aaron. :love: And I remembered, Hillary got so excited having Aaron in her show and getting a kiss from him. I don't know that they're finally going out now.
I like Hillary Duff (Lizzie McGuire) a lot. I love to watch her show, it's very funny and enlightening. And I think she's very pretty and yeah.. I agree she looks more mature than her age. Hm... I only listen part of her song, though... I think her voice is okay. Better than Cecilia. :oops: But anyway... Lizzie McGuire is like the number 1 TV show for teenagers in US right??? It's like all teenagers' favorite. That's what I knew. :hmm: And the movie is like stays in the box office for so many weeks. I guess she's really popular now.

her voice isn't that terrible. she sings better than an average person. i can't really tell if she's a good actress because she doesn't seem that different from the character lizzie.

White Jolin?? I can't see the resemblance of Jolin and Hillary. Hillary is like so original, she's a little plump, she's pretty, and her voice is sooo cute. While Jolin, she's uhm... kinda fake, she's as skinny as a stick, and she's not pretty.

I don't much pay attention to Hilary Duff.
To me, she's always been one of those young 'you can do everything' type of stars... which doesn't appeal to me a whole lot. I think I don't like her because her movies are still more or less in the teeniebopper area.
*shrug* She's doing it all, but she isn't doing enough to really catch my attention.

o and one more thing...in my opinion the cd and movie are out simply b/c those greedy capitalists CEOs r trying to make as much money off her as possible ...so dun get 2 excited about all this new stuff like a cd...it may not be that great :dry:

she just seems like a VERY pop-ish girl. cuz well..her character is kinda ditzy and she's going out with aaron carter, so yeah..very pop-y. her show isn't very interesting, but if you're bored, i guess you could watch it. yeah...disney isn't giving her enough money so she's just gonna quit...what about the other actors who are in that show? you can't have a lizzie maguire show w/o lizzie maguire herself...i think that's kinda selfish.

But personally I don't think she is talented enough to be an artist nor a singer. I have watched "The Lizzie McGuire Movie" and it was kind of boring, the storyline was not really good. Also her single "Why Not" is not so good either, well the music is pretty good but her voice is not. The beat and the music of the song is good but unfortunately her voice ability could not support it. However, above of all those things, she is still a teenager, she can still improve to be better and more popular and she will be, since she has the look.
So yeah that was my opinion of her :)

Has anyone seen her lateset MV on MTV or something? Clearly she's moved from Disney to MTV. When I saw her, there was this nagging voice in the back of my head saying, "Dang, that girl looks A LOT like Hilary Duff..." but the girl's appearance was much too Britney Spears/MUCH older female celebrity (she's, what, 15?) to be her. So I just endure the horrible singing and then at the end it says Hilary Duff. WTH?!?!? I almost broke the TV.

Anyway I saw Hilary Duff on the ARIAS when she was presenting something with Rove, I didn't see the whole but did she actually get to talk because all I saw was Rove talking and I thought it was pretty stupid to have her go up on stage just to look pretty and not even get to talk.

Well I don't think it's a matter of "giving her a chance," I think it's more a matter of opinion. Like with Jay, some people may not like his music because he mumbles too much, and that's not necessarily saying they dislike him as a person, just his music.
With Hilary, I may not dislike her as a person (though I'm not getting a good impression of her from the interviews I've read about her, and what articles say...) because I don't know her personally, but I've heard her music and seen her acting, and both aren't "stunning." So I stick to my opinion, that I don't really like her as a musician and actress.

She's not the greatest singer nor actress but then she's still young. Give her time to improve. Heheh, I actually like a couple of her songs like "so yesterday" and "come clean".
But compared to other pop acts coming out (and seriously, I hate hate hate hate teen pop acts like boybands, ditzy all american girl etc.) but I like Hilary. I think she has charm and she's naturally herself. Like Avril tries to hard to be a punkass person or Lindsay Lohan is just plain arrogant. My perspective on Hilary changed when I saw her on "Punked" with Ashton Kutcher.
Honestly, I thought she was faking her sweetness on TV and stage, but on the show, she was really sweet even when they pulled the prank on her and were cussing madly and whacking each other and telling her to get out of the car while one dude jacked the car with her purse in the car! I just had more respect for her because she didn't try to be fake or any other person than herself. So kudos to Hilary and she's so better off without that skinny dimwit Aaron Carter too. :rolleyes:

yesterday i saw her on tv, evidently at one of her concerts, she was performing, and one of the speakers caught on fire, so she had to get off the stage, but she returned later, after they replaced the speaker.

ugh personally i absolutely hate hillary duff!! i think that some of the lyrics to her songs are ok, but there is nothing special about her voice. I mean you could take almost any person of the street, give them the words and they can sing it. Thats the difference between normal people like me, and famout singers like Jay, when i sing in the shower, its like a rock, but then when Jay sings, its like a diamond. (my violin teacher talks about rocks and diamonds and now that the only way i can explain it lol)

Good Charlotte's Joel Madden has allegedly gotten into the middle of the beef between Lindsay Lohan and Hilary Duff.
Backstage at last Friday's Z-100 Jingle Ball radio festival in New York, the pop-punk singer refused to give Lohan's 8-year-old brother an autograph until she publicly apologized to Duff for their ongoing war of words, according to an eyewitness.
Lohan's brother Cody and his friend approached Madden, who had performed that evening with Good Charlotte, and asked for an autograph, the witness said. When Duff, who has been romantically linked to Madden, told him who the kids were, Madden told Cody to get his mother. Madden then allegedly demanded to an outraged Dina Lohan that her daughter apologize for her actions.
This brought Cody to tears, the eyewitness said. But he soon dried his eyes and fired off a jab of his own by asking where the guys from Simple Plan were because, he reportedly said, they were probably nicer. Screams of "Simple Plan! Simple Plan!" then filled the backstage hallways of Madison Square Garden as the boys ran away.
Simple Plan, however, were not on the bill.
Duff performed a short set during the festival, and Lohan was on hand to introduce Destiny's Child.
Lohan's publicist declined to comment on the incident, while a Good Charlotte spokesperson said she was unaware of the incident. Duff's publicist had not returned calls by press time.

i reckon hilary's got a good voice...? lol i mean i like her songs. she may seem overrated but i still think she deserves her success. she's real and different from the rest.
lizzie macquarie is hilarious! and although her movies ant that great, it's still enjoyable. :)

....Hilary Duff should stick to acting. Even then she's iffy.
She has some pretty damn good songs, but I can't give her credit to that because she didn't write them! Her voice couldn't save her for anything. I admit I have bought her latest CD, and she sounded better than she did for Metamorphosis, but not enough to make me go 180.

i dont think her second album is better than "Metamorhpisis" honestly i dont think there's a really good song in that second cd. i've heard my sister playn her cd. and i swear one of the song's lyrics was like " haters, haters of the human race" ... i mean... it was like whoa, she saying those lyrics to this upbeat rock song
i heard she's goin out with joel, of good charlotte, they seem like a cute couple. hilary was once photographed with her toe naisl painted J O E L , very sweet. she also has a new commercial with her sister haylie, for the liquid ice breath mint. and her sister is doin a movie with Omarion, the lead singer of b2k, who also released his debut album as well

finally saw her movie, Raise Your Voice,
watched in orchestra class since we got a sub, i twas either thatmovie or a movie that we just saw few weeks ago.
but anyway, omg, geez, we orchestra people r so cynical when it came to watchin a hilary duff movie, lol. yup we were just makin fun of the movie as we watched it. in the beginning my friend was like ' thats not her voice' while she was singin in the movie. *sigh* the movie might have been better if only if it was a better singer-actress.oh well. :whistle: but im not a hilary hater, just thought she wasnt right for the part in the movie. :worry:
oh yeah, just found out that's she's taking some-couple online-classes at Harvard. and u know, their school newspaper had an article about her, kinda dissin her about her sayin she's atharvard.etc.

OMG I SAW HER IN REAL LIFE!!!!! She had a concert in Calgary, and me and my friend went shopping at a store called Holt Renfrew and we saw her!! OMG IT WAS SO COOL. My first celebrity *tear ahahah even though I don't really think she's all that great. Her movie was okay, it made me want to go visit Italy. haha Have you heard that Paolla guy talk normally? It's like.. whooa xD Her music is alright, nothing special. It sounds monotone. xD I don't hate her, but I don't love her.
BTW, I think she's a horrible actress :P I don't "believe" the movie when she acts.. it seems so fake.. o_O like in every show/movie she acts like that... o.O if you know what i mean :s i duno im confusing haha

lol, i guess this would interest fartking the most? but hilary duff is suppose to go to my high school. she went to my middle school but left after she got famous with the lizzie mcguire show. my friend [who's in her grade, i'm a grade below her] had a class with her and she said she was pretty annoying, but then again, most people in middle school are annoying :P
anyway.. so she's best friends with this popular girl at my school [her name is taylor hoover.. i dunno if they're still friends though] and she even let her be an extra in on her show [the one with the food fight] and an extra on her movie, a cinderella story [she was one of the "date contestants" for chad michael murray when his friend was trying to hook him up with a girl.. i think she was wearing yellow?] and last year, hilary came to visit her friends, she she was at my school one friday afternoon and there was this whole crowd of people following her, it was really funny.. a lot of people were asking for her autograph too! i think haylie was with her as well?
she's actually pretty short [i was like.. two feet away from her] and her hair was bleached this disgusting blondish-yellow color.. and fat thighs, lol. but who am i to judge cuz i have fat thighs as well :P

I first know about her through the local Seventeen magazine and a friend of mine, who is basically an avid fan of Hil. :angel:
Her songs are totally catchy and the girl can sing. However, one of her song, Mr James Dean, is too much of the rock-ish kind and I don't like it. Anyhow, the rest of the album's songs made up for it.

mehh.. i think lindsay and hilary sing the same style. i do agree lindsay is a better singer.. but not by much. i feel like they both have the "talk melodiously" thing as you call it, lol. i used to like lizzie mcguire but then i figured lizzie mcguire isnt a good role model because all she does is wanna fit in.. and i dont think girls should worry about trying to fit in :P

i dont like the remix of "come clean" =/ i'm completely obsessed with the original version of it though, so i was dissapointed with the remix. its weird though cuz i dont really like hilary duff, but this particular song, i guess the melody/beat is catchy to my ears :P
but the sucky thing is, it always reminds me of laguna beach since its the theme song, and i hate laguna beach =/

Well actually the album isn't her greatest hits but itcontain all of her fave songs. that's why she called it Most Wanted. I remember because she said about this stuff on TRL. I like her song Wake Up. Really catchy and fun and easy to listen. I think she and Joel is a great couple too. So sweet. Even Benji loves her so much and this make he have probs with Kelly Clarkson fans because the thing he wrote in GC site.

I thought her movie was ok.I can tell she's a nice girl,but like Britney she's too manufactured & unoriginal.
I have to say that the only true song I would actually sit through of hers is Come Clean which is a really nice song.
But too bad she didn't record more songs like that one.Overall,she's ok,but when she's more older then maybe she might evolve into a better entertainer.^^:bleh:
